EOTD: I want to marry cranberry

I love fall. I'm not a fan of the weather (I tend to get cold really fast), but I do love the colours. Cranberry, copper, green,...
I'm currently in a cranberry loving fase. I try to incorporate this colour in most of my make-up looks. Here's the make-up look I've been wearing frequently.
I used my ELF 144 neutral palette, The Balm Nude Tude and Nude Dude palette, and MAC eyeshadows for this.

I applied 'Creme the nude' color tattoo as eyeshadow base, then I used "Flawless" from my Nude Dude palette in the crease. After that, I applied "Texture" by MAC and "Espresso" in the outer corner. I also used "Sleek" from my Nude Tude palette to darken up the outer corner.

I first applied "Metallic pomegranate" on my lid and then picked out a cranberry eyeshadow colour. I used my ELF 144 neutral palette for this. I used Essence eyeliner and mascara to finish the look.

Today I used my MAC lipstick in "Dark Side". I think it looks absolutely gorgeous in combination with my cranberry make-up look.

Essence lash princess mascara review

Hello everyone! I'm back today with a mascara post. It's been a while since I've done one of these.
I rarely ever get a high end mascara, simply because drugstore mascara's are just as nice. Recently, my friend recommended this Essence lash princess mascara to me.
Will it make me feel like a princess? Time to test!

Let's talk packaging!
I think this packaging looks quite beautiful. It's a black tube with pastel pink/salmon coloured detailing.
The cap of this mascara looks like what the back of a princesses dress would look like. I think this was a lovely idea, it looks like they really put effort in packaging.

This is what the brush looks like. It's rather thin and long.

This is what the mascara looks like on my eyes. It makes my lashes quite long and it gives nice volume as well. This mascara does everything that a mascara should do. I like it!
Cheap, good quality,... Good job Essence!

So, how's life?

Blogging is my passion. I absolutely love writing about stuff that I like, but I also like to get to know you guys through my posts.
I used to write about my week every week before the summer holidays started but I haven't kept it up. Why? My weeks pretty much look alike and after a while I didn't think Weekly Diaries were very interesting anymore.
However, I like more personal posts and I don't want to lose touch with my readers. So, how's life?

The new academic year started off. I am now in my second year and so far, everything is going great! I'm hoping to become a teacher in two years, it's very exciting, but a lot of work!
I still live on my own, which is nice, but it can get a little lonely. Just before the summer holidays I had a hard time keeping up my blogging after a break-up, but I've reflected a little bit since then and I have decided that I am too busy working for what I want in life to have a boyfriend. Even though I meet special people everyday, I haven't met anyone special when it comes to love. So I am still single - I am totally at peace with that and I am a very happy girl.

Aside from all that I have been experimenting and exploring a lot. A new look: new hairdo, two new tattoos, changing the style of the blog a little (writing new kinds of posts), travelling. I feel like I still haven't found myself a hundered percent, which is fine, I've got time.
So yeah, I'm just trying to find new passions. I'm trying to get better at what I do. But I do what I love, and I love what I do.

I hope you are doing really good as well. I hope you wake up every morning happy and grateful for the life that you lead.
At the risk of becoming a little cheesy, I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my posts and visiting my blog.
I might not mention it enough, but I do appreciate and love all of you.

Have a nice day!

OOTD: Camp Nou

Happy Thursday!
Today I have one of the last posts concerning Barcelona for you! This outfit of the day was shot about a month ago when I was in Barcelona.

We visited Camp Nou, a football stadion in Barcelona, and of course I wanted some pictures! My outfit of the day is quite simple. It has a bit of a vintage/pin-up feel to it, thanks to my striped shirt and high waist shorts. It's been a really long time since I've had the chance to wear these, but everytime I do, it makes me feel so happy.
White is the main colour in this outfit - I've had a bit of an obsession with white recently.

My shirt is by H&M. Although it's a basic, I'm absolutely crazy about it. It's one of my favourite items. My shorts and shoes are both by New Look. The purse in this post is by Primark.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Catrice Sun Glow bronzer review!

Fall is in town and I'm desperately trying to keep my tan. After running out of bronzer this summer, I decided to try this new one by Catrice. Catrice is a brand that doesn't disappoint me very often, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I got both "020 deep bronze" and "030 medium bronze". I actually thought "medium bronze" would be the lightest colour, but that's not the case. It's the other way around.

Let's start with packaging. The bronzer looks pretty simple, it's packed in shiny grey plastic, exept the top is see through.

I'm quite happy with this bronzer. The pigment is good and "020 deep bronze" is a good match for my skin. When I contour, it still look natural instead of orange and fake. I like!
I used "020 deep bronze" in the pictures below. I'm pretty satisfied with the way it looks on my skin.

What do you think? Do you use some kind of bronzer, if so, which one?
Have a nice day! Until next time!

Getting ready ♥ green smokey eyes

Hi sweethearts!
Fall is officially in town and I'm so excited! The biggest change, the weather, is not my favourite change, but there are some changes that I'm excited about.
Make-up trends for example! I have been wearing green and cranberry eyeshadow a lot recently! I just think these colours are so beautiful and fall appropriate.

A couple of weeks ago I posted an eye of the day using my three favourite green eyeshadows and today I have a tutorial for you!

I hope you enjoy!
Let me know what you think!

Maybelline Color Tattoo

You should always enjoy the little things in life. Blogging and experimenting with make-up brings me a lot of joy, so happiness to me is finding amazing drugstore products that are good for my wallet as well.
It's no secret that I'm a really big color tattoo fan. I love everything about them. I either use them as a base for eyeshadow or just on it's own.
Last week I treated myself to two more Color Tattoos.

The colours that I got are "Metallic pomegranate", a beautiful shimmery burgundy colour and a matte beige, called "Crème de nude" (Does this name rings a bell? MAC fans?).

Both of these colours are absolutely gorgeous.

Here's what the swatches look like. Good pigment, like I'm used to with these Color Tattoos.
I tend to use "Crème the nude" as an eyeshadow base and I always use "Metallic pomegranate" as eyeshadow. It's also a great colour for fall.

I was a huge Color Tattoo fan before I got these two and once again I am convinced of the quality of this product.

Thanks for reading! See you next time!

Manicure Monday: All white everything

Hello everyone!
It's been a little while since I've done a 'Manicure Monday'. White nailpolish is a challenge. It can look very sloppy but when done right, it can look absolutely stunning!

I haven't owned a white nailpolish in my life, but recently my sister gave her mine because she didn't use it. Challenge accepted!
This one is from New Look. It came in a collection by Kelly Brooke (from a while back) and it's called "Pristine Sheen".

I didn't think I'd like this, but I did! I think it looks quite nice. Not really a fall appropriate colour, but still, beautiful!

Do you like this manicure?
Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD: Wildest dreams

Say you'll remember me, standing in a nice dress staring at the sunset, babe.
Red lips and rosy cheeks, say you'll see me again even if it's just in your wildest dreams.
Hi everyone! How are you doing?
I was just looking through the pictures that I took while I was on vacation in Barcelona and I long to go back! Ah, what a gorgeous time it was!
Today's outfit of the day is one that we shot when we visited Park Guëll, a gorgeous park that also incorporated mosaic. I already have a post about Park Guëll online so you can read that if you'd like.

I don't know what made me wear a maxi skirt that day, but I love that I did. I got this maxi skirt at Primark.
I paired it with a soft pink T-shirt with lace. I got this T-shirt a really really long time ago at H&M, but they still have similar T-shirts in stores.
The scarf that I'm wearing is by H&M, it matches everything perfectly, I love it!
My bag is by Primark as well.

The picture above is a picture of some gorgeous bracelets that I got at H&M.
The picture below is a picture of a bracelet that I got in Barcelona. It's so, so beautiful!

What do you think of this outftit? Until next time!

MAC "Steamy" and "Plumage"

While in Barcelona, I didn't just visit local shops. I also came across a few very well known brands. One of those brands was MAC.
As you may know, I'm a huge MAC fan. I visit the stores all the time and I do have a rather big MAC eyeshadow collection.
There were, however, a couple of colours that I still wanted, and MAC turned out to be less expensive outside of Belgium, so I treated myself to two new eyeshadow colours!

The colours that I got are called "Steamy" and "Plumage". "Steamy" is a teal, shimmery eyeshadow and "Plumage" is a dark green matte eyeshadow.
Both of the colours are incredibly beautiful. I think they look amazing together as well.

"Steamy"
"Plumage"
In the picture, "Plumage" looks a lot lighter than it actually is. In the swatches below, you can see what the colour actually looks like.

The pigment of these eyeshadows is amazing - as always. I'm so used to MAC being amazing quality that it doesn't even surprise me more.
But seriously though, how beautiful are these eyeshadows?

I'm really happy with my new MAC products - they haven't let me down!
Below, you can see the look I have created with these two eyeshadows. I'm using "Steamy" on my lid and "Plumage" in the crease. The eyeliner and mascara that I used to achieve this look are by Essence.

Have a good day! Thanks for reading!

Blake's pure red lipstick

Growing up, "Gossip Girl" was one of my favourite shows. Serena and Blair were absolute style icons and inspirations to me. Blake Lively, who plays Serena, is still an absolute icon to me. Can you imagine my excitement when I saw this red lipstick by L'Oréal? It's called "Blake's pure red" and it's absolutely gorgeous!
This lipstick is the lipstick that Blake supposedly wears. (Blake is not the only one who has a L'Oréal lipstick. J-Lo and a couple of other famous ladies have one!)

I love the packaging. I think it looks very classy. The black/gold packaging is amazing!

This red lipstick is so, so gorgeous! It looks similar to my other red lipsticks, but yet, it's not thesame.
I'm sure a lot of you make-up loving ladies know what I'm talking about: to some people red is red, but to me, every red lipstick is different.

This is what the swatch looks like. A timeless, sophisticated red.

The lipstick is very pigmented. It's smooth and creamy, and easy to apply. I re-apply this lipstick about two or three times a day, which isn't bad for a lipstick. It stays on quite some time.
You can see what it looks like on my lips in the picture below.

My conclusion? This lipstick is not bad at all! I think it's beautiful and I like it a lot!
It is one of my favourites for this fall!

Travelling: Barcelona ~ Park Guëll

Being in cold and rainy Belgium makes me miss Barcelona. I really lost my heart there! I promised you I'd post some pictures, so I'm going to keep my promise.
Today, I'll be showing you around Park Guëll. This place looks like heaven on earth!

This park is very beautiful! It cost €8 to enter, which I thought was a bit expensive, but it is a really beautiful park. Palm trees, parrots, beautiful skyline, ah, I could live there! Enjoy the pictures!
