Travel Diary: Malaga - part 1

Goodmorning everyone! I'm back off my plane from Malaga and ready to go for it again. I took a three-day vacation to the south of Spain and although it was short, it was very nice.

I love going on citytrips because it's an inexpensive way to see a few nice parts of the world (and I get homesick quickly).
Today I'm going to show you what I saw when I went on my trip to Malaga.

The first thing we did was a segway tour. We really recommend you to do this if you ever go to Malaga. For €45, you can do a two hour tour around Malaga and the most important places, which is so much fun. It's a lot different than a hop on hop off bus tour. This morning, it was just my boyfriend and I who were planned in for a tour, so we got an alternative route - great!

At night we went to a couple of rooftop bars and had some great drinks. The view was so beautiful! Just look at the skyline and the Malaga eye!

Another spot we were absolutely crazy about was the little market. Fresh fish, meat and veggies every single day. Local markets are my favourite places to visit; it's different, it's a nice way to meet locals,...
We went into the market every day on our way to the breakfast place every morning.

Morphe 350 palette review!

Happy Monday everyone! Last week I showed you the Morphe palette that my mom got me for my birthday.
I got another Morphe palette since then. This one is a true bestseller, it's the Morphe "350" palette. The palette holds dark colours as well as brighter colours (such as orange, tan, red and copper colours).

This is what the palette looks like. Below you can see a couple of swatches. The pigmentation and texture of these eyeshadows are rather nice. I only get a bit of fall out when using the shimmery eyeshadows, but that's rather normal.

The eyelook that I made was a very bright one. I used a lot of the tan and copper colours from the palette, and a few browns to darken this look up.
I'm very excited to also try a look with some of the darker colours in the palette. Smokey eyes, anybody?

Thanks for reading!
Have a nice Monday!

Morphe 35E palette

Goodmorning everybody.
One of the biggest - or, just the biggest - surprise for my birthday came from my mom this year. For me birthday she got me (amongst other things), a Morphe palette.
I wasn't aware that my mom knew about my Morphe obsession and I can't believe she got her hands on it.
She got me the 35E palette and with this, I'll be introducing Morphe onto my blog today. You ready?

The palette that she got me is the 35E palette. This palette is a combination of some very bright eyeshadow colours and some more neutral tones.
I swatched a couple of the eyeshadows in the palette - both light and dark ones - and I have to say that the colours didn't disappoint.
Look at how they pop! I will be doing a couple of tutorials on a couple different looks soon, so you can see how this palette is in use!

I'm very happy to have a Morphe palette (I have been a big fan for the last year). What do you think?

NYX "Take over control" eyeshadow quad review

Goodmorning and welcome to yet another make-up review! Today I'm reviewing the NYX "Take over control" eyeshadow quad.
I have written about this in a haul earlier and tried it out for the first time this morning. I love quads like this - there are just enough colours to make a few different looks and it's easy for an everyday make-up look.

The swatches were also in my previous post and there I mentioned that I was quite surprised by the pigmentation. Both the light and dark colours are well pigmented. This isn't always the case: often in palettes, either the lighter or darker colours will lack pigmentation. This one doesn't!

Here's the look that I made using this palette. I decided to keep it on the neutral side since I didn't know how the application would go. Turns out the application is a-okay!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Keep your eyes open for my next posts, I have a couple of exciting ones coming up!
Thanks a lot for reading, I'll see you soon!

NYX eyeshadow quads - part 1

Hi guys! The birthday gifts haven't stopped coming. Most of my friends and family got me make-up (because duh!).
Today I'm going to show you some NYX quads that I got from my dad. He got me some of the items that he knows I can't get my hands on easily. Here's the part 1 (and yes, there will be part 2 for sure because I have been spoiled)!

The  eyeshadow quads are really easy because you have everything you need right there and there's a couple different looks you can experiment with. The first quad I got is a little more neutral and wearable. It's called "Take over control".

The swatches of this quad are really good. I'm happy that both the lighter and darker colours have enough pigmentation. A lot of of times when you get a quad or a palette, those colours are typically the colours that don't show up as well so this is a nice surprise.

The second palette is a palette that draws more attention for sure, mainly because of the teal eyeshadow inside.

These colours too, are very well pigmented. Look at that blue and how it pops!

I'm very excited and have a couple of looks coming up for you! Make sure to check back!
I'll see you then!

MAC "Copper Sparkle" pigment review

Gooooodmorning!

Recently I got a sample of a copper pigment at my local MAC counter. The make-up artist gave it to me because I didn't want to buy a whole pigment if I wasn't sure I would like it, but after using the pigment twice, I fell in love with it and decided that maybe I would be willing to pay €23 for it.
The pigment that I'm talking about is called "Copper Sparkle". This is what it looks like.

I have used pigment from MAC before and I have always been happy with the way they turned out. The previous ones I got weren't as bright as this pigment though and I must admit that I didn't expect the colour to pop like it did. Below you can see a swatch.

Pigments always give fall out so it's smarter to do your eye make-up before your face make-up when you use a pigment. That way, you can remove the fall out from your face before starting to apply foundation. If you did however already do your face make-up and find yourself in a bit of a pickle, use scotch tape to remove the fall out.
I always make sure the pigment has something to stick to so I got a glitter glue (by H&M). You can also use foundation, concealer or eyeshadow primer.

Here's my completed look with the "Copper Sparkle" pigment. I'm very impressed!
I hope you enjoyed today's post! Have a good one!
