2014 in a nutshell

Hi everyone!
I feel like the lifestyle part of this blog only comes out in the holiday season. Today is the first lifestyle post about the ending of the year 2014. More posts might follow, I'm not sure yet.
2014 has gone by so fast but it was so much fun. A lot of special stuff happened this year. I would say this was for sure the best year of my life (so far).

Travelling
If you've followed this blog for about a year, you'll know that I travelled quite a bit this year. Well, I travelled to Germany and visited Buchenwald. Right after that, I went to the Czech Republic and visited Prague.

I fell in love with Prague. It's so beautiful out there, I love it. I wish I could go back, I had a really good time and I'm happy I went!

School
This year, I graduated from high school and I started my education in college. I'm currently studying history and English and I LOVE it.
I still have to take my exams so I'm really nervous about that but I'm sure everything will be fine. I was doubting a teeny tiny bit if I had made the right choice in the beginning, but I now know that this education is perfect for me.
In a few weeks I'll actually go to a high school to teach as an intern! Can't wait!

Work
For the first time in my life I did something else than service industry this summer. I worked at Volvo Cars. It's a big change and it for sure was a job that I never thought I'd do, but it was a great experience. I felt at home immediately! I had a great team and once again I was just one of the guys.

Life
First of all, I turned 18 this year!

It's also the first year I kinda forced everyone to accept me as I am by simply not changing haha! Feels good!

I also learned how to drive! I don't have my drivers licence yet because I haven't had time to go get it yet, but dude, I can drive!

I also moved out of the house this year. Yeah, a lot of big changes. I'm used to living alone by now and I'm happy - I'm learning to stand on my own two feet.
So far so good, I have a roof over my head and food in my fridge. I can't complain. I do miss my pets and my dad a lot though! I'm not allowed to have pets in my new place and I wish I could see my cats more often!

Events
I've done a lot of really cool things this year! I usually don't like to go out partying, but this year I went to a few special events!

Health
I have also been accomplishing my "dreams" when it comes to health, working out, moving. About a month ago, I started working out. I got myself a fitness card and I've been working out for at least 5 days a week (not too much or too heavy though, don't worry). In the meantime I ran my first 6km for charity and I'm still keeping up my work. I feel good!

2014 was a year with a lot of changes, but it was for sure a year where I achieved a lot. It was a good year. Cheers to 2015!

Christmas 2014 ♥

Hey you guys! How are you doing?
I hope you all had a really lovely Christmas! I know I did!

First I went to my parents' house. My sister and her boyfriend were there as well and we gave each other gifts. I got amazing stuff that I really liked. I might write about the presents that I got in a next post!

I put on a not-so-festive outfit: turquoise shirt and my H&M statement necklace. I wanted to put on a very ugly Christmas sweater, but I didn't buy one yet! I did put an extra touch on my nails! Simple, but I think it still looks festive and elegant!

Then we went back to my sister and her boyfriend's house. There we ate a lot of snacks and played monopoly with a bunch of friends.
We didn't get to the end of it though, it was early in the morning when we stopped playing and I only had about one or two hours of sleep left before I had to go to work!
I did have a lot of fun though!

Have a lovely day and thank you for reading!

"Crossed" bookreview

You guys.... I have tried so many times to write this bookreview and I have waited so long to do it.
There's only one reason for it.

I never finished the book. I noticed when I started reading the "Matched" series, it took me a bit of effort to stay focused and I had to really motivate myself to read the book. That feeling didn't get better at all when I started reading the second book called "Crossed".
I kept hearing about how great it was and how everyone loved it, but I realised that I don't like it. At all.
Everything goes so slow that it becomes frustrating and I just didn't feel like I was part of the story or that I could relate, which is part of what makes a book good in my opinion.

I don't want to write this, but I also don't want to lie to you. I don't get why this series is such a big deal. It didn't please me. Too bad because I had already bought the third book and now that's just a waste of money.

Fitspiration #3: food

Merry Christmas!
By the time this post comes online, I'll probably be preparing for a lovely day with family and friends, which is why I won't have any Christmas pictures up yet, so I decided to give you some healthy food inspiration!

I know during the holidays food is everywhere, but healthy can be so good as well! I am trying to live healthier as I told you before, which means I need some inspiration every once in a while. Inspiration for fruit salads, or inspiration for being healthy.

I got all the beautiful pictures from Tumblr. Hope you enjoy!

Winter things

Hey everyone!
In the last month I have snapped some pictures that represent how I experience the 2014 winter!
We haven't had any snow here, which is a pity because I'm sure it would have made for some beautiful pictures! Anyway, here's are some pictures that I did like! I hope you enjoy!

Have a really good day!
Thanks for reading!

Happy Holidays! ♥

Hello everyone! I just wanted to drop by to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
If you read this blog regularly, you'll know I adore Michael Jackson. He liked making goofy faces and I was lucky enough to find a Christmas inspired one!

Enjoy!

Weekly Diary

Hello you guys!
How are you doing? It's Sunday again! I believe it's been a while since I've done a Weekly Diary.
So much have happened over the last few weeks!

I taught my second class last week, I taught history which is so much fun because my subject was the society in Egypt which is so, so interesting!

At the end of the week I also ran 6km. I still can't believe I did it!
I did have a lot of fun though (and I also have one picture). I'm the girl on the right and the girl on the left is my friend who ran 10 km.

I have been keeping up with my working out as well! I've been going to the gym a lot. Of course it'll close soon for the holidays and I'll be eating a lot with Christmas so my results might be delayed, but I'm looking forward to both the holidays ànd working out more and better! Of course I'll keep you updated on everything that's going on!

More inspiration!

Right now the gym isn't my main focus either. Even though I like it and it's become a habit, I have to focus on the more important things in life right now: exams!

This is my first year in college, which means it's the first time that I actually have the holiday break before my actual exams in January. I hope I won't be too distracted and I can't wait for the exams to be over.
I'm very excited but I'm also very nervous because....well, sometimes first times are scary, especially when a lot depends on the results.

Anyway, the exams are the reason I might not update regularly this month. I know I haven't updated too much this month, but it probably won't get any better.
I'm very annoyed because I love my blog, but I need priorities, and right now, school is the most important thing.
I hope you can understand this.

Have a very lovely Sunday and I'll hopefully see you soon!
X

EOTD: Falling leaves

Hey everyone! Here I am with an eye of the day!
I haven't updated a lot this month due to my busy schedule but I for sure wanted to update today!
Last month I made a look called "Autumn leaves". It was a look with a lot of copper and cranberry in it, and in that post I told you I was inspired by the falling leaves. Today, I have a look with copper again, but instead of more cranberry and purple, I used more gold and orange in this look.

I started by applying eyeshadow base and after that I applied "Espresso", a matte brown eyeshadow in my crease.

I used three MAC eyeshadow colours for the lid. First, I used "Amber lights" in my inner corner, which is a pretty gold colour, in the middle I applied "Texture" and on the outer corner I applied "Coppering".

It's been a while since I did some winged eyeliner (this last month I've only been wearing mascara mostly) but I was in the mood for a wing, so here you go!
My liquid eyeliner and mascara are by Essence.

Do you like this look?
