EOTD: Keep your eyes on the prize!

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my mini tutorial on a "colour pop" look.
This look is a look that I wear every once in a while. Sometimes I switch it up, but the idea behind it is always thesame: neutral on top, colourful on the bottom.

I used my MAC "Bronze" and "Espresso" for the crease. I used my Color Tattoo by Maybelline as a base for the lid and then I applied the "Melon" pigment by MAC on top of it.
After that, I used my Essence "Mari-time" eyeliner and set it in place by going over it with my "Steamy" eyeshadow by MAC. I also used MAC's "Plumage" on the lower lashline.
You can click the names of these products in this post to open a new tab, which will lead you to my review on the product.

I love this look a lot. I think this is actually one of my favourite go-to looks for summer! What do you think?

Accessories haul #1 💗

Any fashion blogger or stylist will tell you that basic items are the most important items in your closet. They will also tell you that you should use accessories to spice things up: okay, the trendy accessories do change up from time to time, but they're cheaper to replace. Fashionable clothing items are not so easy to replace (imagine having to buy something from every new collection, sometimes it's just not possible).

I decided to follow my own advice and go shopping for accessories, since I obviously needed some new, fresh items!

You may or may not know this, but I'm a huge fan of statement necklaces. I love the ones that H&M and New Look sell, because they have so many options: there's literally something for everyone (different styles, colours, sizes,..).
Here's what I got!

H&M
I love the necklaces that H&M makes with more than one option. For example this shell necklace, it's so cute, but they give you some more ocean inspired jewels in case you want to change it up!

New Look
So delicate and sophisticated!

Claire's

Claire's is a shop that in my opinion you love or you hate. Some of my friends think it's an awesome shop, others think it's a shop for teenage girls.
I used to go there to get hair grips and such, but after getting my nose pierced, I also tried a couple of their piercings. I never had any problems with the studs and they're quite cheap, so I went back to check out the other piercings they have for sale.
I ended up getting this pack of four with summerproof belly button piercings!

That's it for part one! I have a part two coming up that are a bit more about earrings and ear cuffs. I hope you'll be here to read that too!

Thanks for visiting today!

OOTD: Bright city lights

The beginning of the summer is always extra exciting here in Belgium, because the sales also start in the beginning of the summer.
I haven't had much time to go shopping lately but there was one dress that I saw earlier and I couldn't get it out of my mind.

Do you know the feeling of not getting something and spending the next week thinking about it? That's what happened with this dress. After a week I decided I just had to have it. It's the dress that I'm wearing in these pictures.

I got this maxi dress at H&M and it just looks like the perfect dress for a walk on the beach or a picnick in the park. Or you could wear it if you're going on a dinner date with a friend or a lover, just like I did.

The blazer that I'm wearing is also by H&M. I got it last season. It's a bit oversized and it's a very sleek, simple blazer: no zippers, no buttons, nothing. I thought the colours of the dress already drew enough attention, no need for more detail on the blazer.

While we were looking for a nice place to shoot the pictures, I actually re-discovered a part of town that I love. This place is in the center of Bruges and it's beautiful by day, but absolutely breathtaking by night. It's not far away from where I live, which is even better, because I love late night strolls.

I didn't realize how much I take Bruges for granted. I walk passed these buildings every day and sometimes I forget how beautiful they are and how much history there is here.
I remember trying out filters on one of these pictures on Instagram and thinking that the backgrounds in these pictures look like a movie decor.

I will for sure try to appreciate these places more. What can I say, it's the little things in life that can blow your mind, if only you allow them to.

As always, I hope to see you in my next blogpost.
Thanks for reading!

Miss Sporty coloured eyeliners! ♥

Coloured eyeliners are a big thing right now. They're a big thing every year, like, it's not really groundbreaking - but this year, a lot of brands have made coloured eyeliners.
I was in The Netherlands earlier this week (I don't live far away from the border) and they sell "Miss Sporty" over there. Miss Sporty is a very affordable make-up brand, which happens to have a whole new line of coloured eyeliners.

They had mint greens, this purple/blue-ish shade, navy, yellow and a couple more. I decided to get the blue and the yellow. Let's see if they're any good!

The two liquid eyeliners have a nice packaging. Quite simple. The eyeliners are black but the caps are bright coloured. The blue one has a blue cap, the yellow one has a yellow cap. I like that.

The brushes are made out of plastic, which feels a bit weird at times but I actually learned how to apply liquid eyeliner using these kind of applicators, so it's not a big problem for me.

Here are the swatches!
I think the colour payoff is amazing! I've tried it a couple of times now after applying eyeshadow and I'd be lying if I said I didn't like these eyeliners.
I do have to apply more than one layer to get everything even. I also noticed that even though I don't feel anything on my hand, these liners do tend to 'sting' a bit.
It's a weird sensation and besides the stinging, I don't have any problems with this (I also don't get eye problems or anything), so that's a bit odd.
I've gotten a few glitter liners by a different brand a couple of months ago, and I do get that sensation with those eyeliners as well. I don't know what causes the eyeliner to feel like that on my skin, but I only feel it when I apply it.
I don't have a big problem with it, but I'd advise you to be careful, especially if you have very sensitive eyes or skin.

I will continue to use these eyeliners and I enjoy using them a lot. I paid €3.49/eyeliner. Good deal.

PS I want to thank those of you that have been supporting me; reading my posts, liking FaceBook/Instagram posts, Twitter and so on...
You have really made this an amazing month for me and I couldn't be more thankful for you. I hope to see you soon.

EOTD: McSteamy

Goodmorning to all of you! Last week I told you about my sudden inspiration when it came to make-up. I don't know where the inspiration came from, but I'm not complaining!

Today's eye of the day is a very bright one. I love to use these minty eyeshadow colours on sunny days, because they simply look amazing and brighten up your face.

For this look, I used a bunch of MAC eyeshadows. I recently broke four of my MAC eyeshadows by dropping a palette (cry, cry), but luckely the ones for this look were still intact.
I used "Bronze" and "Espresso" in my crease. "Steamy" - which reminds me of McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy a couple of years ago - is the colour on my lid and I used "Plumage" on the outer corner.

You can read my reviews on MAC's eyeshadows here, here and here.

I hope you liked this look. Let me know what you think. You can also follow me on other social media to see more looks/inspiration.
