Bookreview: "Pandemonium" by Lauren Oliver

Hello everyone!

As you all know, i’ve had a lot of time to catch up on my reading this month. Here I am with another bookreview! This time I will review “Pandemonium”, which is the second book in the “Delirium” series by Lauren Oliver.

 

In the previous book, “Delirium”, Lena was “infected”. She got “delirium amoris”, which basically means she fell in love. The only problem is that it isn't allowed in her society! She crosses the border of Portland with Alex and tries to live a free life. It's a life with little food and constant watching over the shoulders, but it's a life where love is allowed.

In this second book, Lena loses Alex, the guy she left everything behind for, the guy that "infected" her with love.

Not only does she lose Alex, she also gets kidnapped while on a mission, along with a very important teenager in the Delirium Free society. 

After a while, it turns out that this teenager is not who she thought he would be and they actually grow to like each other.

But then Lena discovers Alex didn't die while trying to cross the border...

I loved this book, it's even more cruel than the first one but it's explained so well that I actually can understand why everything happens.

The details have been thought through and the storyline just keeps getting better. I am falling in love with this book. I hope the next one is just as good!

Weekly Diary

Hi! Happy Sunday!
How have you been doing?
This week has been probably the best week of this entire summer, I did so many cool things! As you probably know, if you read my blog on a daily basis, I celebrated my 18th birthday last Friday. My sister had a little party on Saturday and I decided to have a little party as well, on Monday.

On Monday, I invited some friends over and we had breakfast together. It was more like a breakfeast, there was so much food! We really had a huge buffet ready for my guests. I had this little party at my best friend's house.

After the breakfast, 10 of us went to an amusement park. We did so many things and had so much fun! It was a long day, but it was a very satisfying day. It wasn't something that a lot of people would do for their 18th birthday, I guess, but it's something that I wanted to do for a long time and my friends decided it would be fun so we made the best of it!

 

I got a lot of amazing presents - I even got a few MAC gift cards! Amazing! 

I got a really huge palette with 7 new colours (the other 8 were in my collection already), a pro longwear concealer and a pigment!

 

I also went to see another movie this week - I've been going to the movies a lot lately, but I really wanted to see this one - "Lucy", with Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman (♥).

I enjoyed the movie, it's genious!

EOTD: Paradisco

Hello everyone! Yesterday I showed you the new MAC make-up that I got, and today I'm going to show you my very first eye of the day post with one of my new eyeshadow colours.

This look is quite simple. I was doubting about this new eyeshadow colour called "Paradisco" because it's a kind of pastel colour but I started to like it more and more during the day. The special thing about this colour is that it's orange, but also pink, and also gold. It's perfect to use in a lot of looks.

I used "Paradisco" on my eyelid, "Bronze" in the crease and "Espresso in my outer corner. Before doing this, I used MAC pro longwear concealer. Many people don't know this but this is also an eyeshadow primer!
The eyeliner and mascara that I used are by Essence.

John Green book haul

If you haven't been living under a rock for the last year, you'll know that "The Fault In Our Stars", both the book ànd the movie are wildly popular.
I read the book and watched the movie, and I loved both, so I can see why!

John Green is absolutely amazing – I love him, what a genius! - and I’ve been wanting to read more of his books, so when I saw these two books in the bookstore, I grabbed them rightaway!

The two books that I got are called “Paper Towns” and “Will Grayson, will grayson”.

I'm very excited to read these books and I'm curious if I will like them as much (or maybe even more?!) as "The Fault In Our Stars"!

Of course I will have bookreviews up as soon as I finish these books!

HUGE MAC Cosmetics haul!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm back with a huge MAC haul! Last Friday I celebrated my 18th birthday and on Monday I had a little get together with friends. A few of them gave me a giftcard from MAC. I couldn't be more excited!
Today I went to the MAC store and I got a couple of items that I liked!

The first thing that I got was a palette that could hold 15 colours. I filled it up with seven colours (you can see them above). I got "Paradisco", "Star Violet", "Cranberry", "Deep Truth", "Satin Taupe", "Espresso" and "Trumptuous Olive".

I also got a liquid concealer in NW 20. I'm normally a NC 20 but they didn't have it in stock so the make-up artist gave me this one instead!

When I went to check out, I saw these mini MAC pigments. I decided I wanted to try one! I got one called "Rose", which is a pigment with pink and gold. It's absolutely stunning! I think I'll be wearing this one often, it's a real eye catcher!

Et voilà, c'est ça!
I'm for sure really excited about my new products and I'm really happy my friends got me such a lovely present.
