Exams!

Hello everyone! You might not know this but I actually just had my first exam this Friday. I have a couple more to go, this Monday and Thuesday. I don't have a lot of exams left, only three (economy, french and math) but they are rather difficult. That's why today I'm not going to write a Weekly Diary, I want to focus on studying.

Also, Tuesday, immediately after my math exam, I'm leaving to go on a little holiday. Well, it's not technically a holiday because it's with school but I'm going to Dresden and after that I'm going to Prague. I'll be gone for 5 days.
Hopefully the hotels we stay in will have Internet so I can stay in touch. If not, I'll tell you all about it when I come back on Sunday.

Instead of having a boring "nothing happened this week" diary, I want to make a longer, interesting Weekly Diary. I will probably also film a lot, because I'm going to be visiting Buchenwald amongst other very important places, so you'll see that soon.

I am so excited, this is so interesting for me because I love learning about the World Wars and I will also be studying history in college next year.
Like I said, I will try to keep in touch but if there's no Internet I'll try to keep in touch through Instagram. Click here to find me on Instagram.
For now, I'll try to write as many posts as possible so you don't have to wait to long for new blogposts but if I don't update, you know why.

I hope you all have a lovely week and exciting things coming up. I will see you very soon (hopefully).
Have a fantastic day and thank you for reading!

Make-up Inspirations ♥ #3

Hello everyone! As you all know, I love collecting pictures of beautiful or special make-up. I have done two other "Make-up Inspirations" post in the past, but I decided today I will show the newest pictures that I found online.

These are so inspiring, I think. I don't know who they are made by, please please leave me the names or links of these people if you know who they are. Okay, I'm done talking! Enjoy the pictures!

Thanks for watching! Have a lovely day!

March favies!

Hello everyone! March is almost over, time for my favourites!

I have gotten a lot of new items this month, a lot of them have become favourites this month as well. Some of them I've had for a long time and I've only started using now. I'll start with face products!

I have been obsessing over the L'Oréal True Match foundation. It really is a great foundation, I am in love with it! The colour is perfect, the coverage is even more perfect. Yep, I'm going to buy this product many more times when I run out of it. I am truely addicted.

Everyone wants a beautiful glow when spring starts, the way this higlighter looks when the sun hits your face, it's just so beautiful. This is my MAC mineralize skinfinish in "Adored" (from a limited edition). It has both cool and warm colours in it, which I think is amazing.

I got this eyeshadow primer just a few weeks ago and I've been using it eversince. Even though it looks a little too dark and too yellow on my eye (because I'm pale), you don't see it when I put eyeshadow over it. And it's cheap and it gets the job done, so I'm 100% satisfied.

I'm also very happy with my Catrice made to stay inside eye higlighter pen. This thing is amazing, it does make you look more awake but it's not as obvious as a white eyeliner would be. I can totally see the difference when I'm not wearing it.

This spring, I've been obsessed with gold for my eyes. When the Essence pigments first came out, I got one called "Smell the caramel" but I never really used it because the colour was so intens and bright, I didn't know how other people would feel about it. I didn't even know how I feel about it. A couple of weeks ago I pulled it out of my make-up drawer and I put it on my desk to use the following day. But I didn't look at it again until I accidentally dropped it and spilled a whole bunch on the floor.

It might sound crazy but again, I was amazed by the pigment and I thought I should start using it! So I did.

Another caramel kind of colour that I've been using a lot lately is "Texture" by MAC. I have incorporated it into my daily make-uplook and I like it! (Want to see my daily make-uplook? Maybe I can do a video or a photo tutorial on it?)

As for my lip products, the colour of those babies have either been really soft and neutral or really bright.
The first favourite is my lip shine by Catrice called "My Cherry Berry", a lovely "my lips but better" shade that isn't too expensive and looks really amazing.

Next I have a super bright, sheer, but so very adorable lipstick from Bourjois. It's called "Famous Fushia" and it's from their Shine Edition. I feared this colour a little bit for a little while (wouldn't it be too bright, too much?) but I finally wore it again and I just felt the confidents coming over me. Sigh, it's so surprising what a lipstick can do to you, haha!

What are some of your favourite products for this month?

Collar dress obsession ♥

Are you looking forward to the summer as much as I am? God, I can barely wait!
I especially miss wearing skirts and dresses, as you might know if you've followed my blog for a while, I'm crazy about dresses. The weather has been nice for a little while but I'm hoping for even better weather, I'm bored of the jeans.

Recently I've been obsessing over the collar dresses over at Ark's. Collar dresses have been extremely popular last year, but I hear this year they're coming back as a trend and I couldn't be more excited!
I think collar dresses are so adorable and femine, sigh, I can't get over it.
I have included a couple of my favourite pictures in this post to give you an idea of what kind of dresses they sell, but if I'll leave the link right here so you can go and check it out yourself if you'd like. The prices go from £19.99 to £43.99.

What trend are you looking forward to?

Favies for spring and summer: lip products!

Hello everyone.
Today I'm going to show you my part two of favies for spring and summer. In this post I will be talking about my favourite lipproducts for spring and summer.
Naturally, all the products in this post are rather bright, but they are wearable as well!

I'm starting off with my chubby lip pencils or however they are called (I've heard so many names over these last few months that I don't know how to call it anymore).

The first one on the left is actually a lipstain by NYC called "Rock on Ruby". It's beautiful but not too much, great for that everyday lip tint in spring (it's buildable by the way, so you can make it as bright or as dark as you want).

Next I have two chubby lip pencils by Catrice. One of them is from the Glamazonia limited edition, it's called "I've got the Flower", I believe, it doesn't say on the product.
I also have this one called "My cherry berry", which is the one that I've been using for these last few days. I LOVE IT. This one is still available.

I also have one by ELF, called "In the nude", it's the one on the right. Pretty cute, huh?

Next I have my stay matte lipcream by Essence. These are all so pigmented and matte, they stay on all day and even if you've eaten a couple of snacks, there's still a stain on your lips. It's also budgetproof! YAY!
The first one is called "Velvet Rose" and the second one is called "Smooth Berry".

Next I have two adorable lipglosses, also by Essence. The first one is pink and the second one is peach, the names came off though, so I can't tell you which ones I'm talking about exactly.

Next I have three lipsticks. These three are my all time favourites for spring and summer. I use all of them very often!

The first one is my Bourjois lipstick from the Shine Edition called "Famous Fushia", next I have NYX "Eucalyptus" and Revlon's "Kiss me coral". Sigh. They are amazing, just take a look at the swatches (they are in the wrong order though, Revlon's swatch is first, next up is NYC and last but not least Bourjois).

Makeup look challenge update #7: blue

Hello everyone!
Today I have a new make-upchallenge update for you!
The colour of the week is blue. I decided not to apply blue eyeshadow from lid to browbone since I like to just add details of a certain colour if I'm not sure about the outcome. I just used some blue colours to add to my neutral look.

First I used a turqoise colour on top of my black eyeliner. I think it looked pretty cute. The only thing I don't like about this eyeliner is that it's nearly impossible to take it off. I blinked too soon and had some eyeliner dots on my crease, but I couldn't take it off because otherwise I would have ruined the make-uplook. That's why it's still there.
Next I used a darker blue/green colour for my waterline. This look is actually very simple, it's just a neutral look with two colour pops!

Click this link to see the eyeshadow tutorial. It's not completely thesame, I changed the lid colour, but everything else is thesame. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel please!

Essence Get Big Lashes volume boost mascara review

Hello everyone! These last few weeks I've been trying a new mascara. This one is by Essence and it's called "Get Big lashes". As you might know, I have had one of these already in a silver packaging. I thought it was thesame (because the name is thesame) but actually the brush is different. Not a problem, because I think this one works just fine as well!

Let's start with the packaging. I do think some people might not like it because it looks a bit childish but I actually think it's fun to have colourful packaging every once in a while.

This is what the brush looks like. It's really big, which is always a little difficult for me to work with because I can't get to the bottom of my eyelashes without poking myself in the eye. But practice makes perfect, you know.

I find that this mascara only gives me a little bit of volume, but it does give me a lot of length and even a bit of curl (of course I use an eyelash curler for that little bit of extra oomf.) Good enough for me, but I'm not the most picky person when it comes to mascara.

I'm happy with this lovely, budgetproof Essence eyeliner. I think it looks really good. What do you think? Do you have a favourite brand for mascara?

Weekly Diary

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry for updating late, these last few days have been filled with work! I woke up, went to work and then went to sleep again. Lots and lots of work.
Anyway, here I am with a weekly diary.

This week has pretty much revolved around working. Next Friday I will start my exams and so I want to be well prepared. After that, I'm taking a 6 day trip to Prague, so I'm preparing for that as well.

Look how beautiful the sky it! The weather has been pretty good lately.

I'm looking forward to Easter! When I saw this little chicken, I had to have a picture of it. It's so adorable (and delicious).

Finally got some stuff for my fish. I want to make their living conditions as comfortable as possible. This is also the very first picture of my 4 fish together. Three on the right and one is swimming behind the bottle (you can see his little head peek).

Ah, I love this book! I wish I had more time to read though!

LIke I said, I've been working A LOT for school. It's starting to look good. I'm looking forward to graduating and going to college next year!

Thanks for reading!

How and why I enjoy reading!

Hello everyone! I have mentioned books a few times on this blog, I mean, it's no secret that I LOVE them! However, I get a lot of "Ew, why do you even like reading? It's boring!".

So today I wanted to share with you the things that I do to make reading more enjoyable for myself.
Maybe you can try to do these things as well, if you've never liked reading but would like to like reading (if that makes sense)!

1. Make it enjoyable for yourself to read
Make yourself a cup of tea, grab yourself a little snack and crawl into bed. I love reading in bed because I'm comfortable and I can focus on the book much better.

2. Read something you want
You don't have to read the Divergent series if you're not into distopian books. Why would you do that, because it's mainstream and cool at the moment? Because the cover of the book is pretty?
Try to read something that you think is interesting. For me, that's young adult books, distopian books and thrillers. If you're not sure what you like to read, you can look up reviews first.
Get yourself a library card, with that, you can get books which you don't have to pay for. If you don't like them, return them. Try something else.
There are books for everyone out there. You just have to search a little.

3. Get motivated/challenge yourself
Get motivated to read. I like to challenge myself to read as much as I can and to gain as much knowledge as I can. I try to read one book a week. That can sometimes make it feel less like a hobby and more like an obligation. When I start to feel it's an obligation I just slow it down and take my time. The main goal is to enjoy.

4. If you want to, read with others/talk about it
Talking to other people who have read books that you've read and have opinions about it is really cool. You can go to a book club or even  start a book club. If you fear there's too much obligation in that, you can also just read recommendations from friends or family and talk to them about it later.

5. Bring reading into your life
If you're sitting in the bus with nothing to do, just grab a book and try to read for a little while. Try to read before you go to bed. If you never try to pick up a book, you'll never enjoy reading because you're not used to it. It's like playing sports, I think running sucked when I did it the first time but I kept trying and I'm feeling better and better about it now. You just have to bring it into your life, do it more and more often. That's how you'll start enjoying it.

6. Try Audible
If you really can't get through a book (or maybe you just don't have time), you can download the Audible app. This app reads books to you. That way you can listen to them when you're on the bus or when you're cleaning. You do have to pay all of the books you download though. I take great pleasure in listening to these books, so maybe it's something for you as well.

7. Knowledge is power, just saying.

PS all the pictures I used in this post are from Tumblr. I think they're incredibly beautiful, all the credits to the photographers!

Favies for spring and summer: eyeliner

Hello everyone! A few days ago I introduced you to my series "Favies for spring and summer". Today I have a very first update for you guys. Now that spring is here, I've been experimenting with colour a lot again. The easiest way to do that is with eyeliner.
So, today I'm going to be showing you spring- and summerproof eyeliners! Oh, and they are very affordable!

Alright so I don't know if you have read my review on the Catrice made to stay inside eye higlighter pen, but this eyeliner is gorgeous! It doesn't really add colour but it does make your eyes brighter and makes you look more awake.
I've been using it for a week now and I can honestly say I see the difference when I don't use it.

Next I have the eyeliner pencil that I used for my weekly make-uplook challenge update. It's from a limited edition by Catrice called "Colours of the ocean" and it has two sides: a silver one and a green one. Not bad!

Next I have all my Essence eyeliners. I'm going to go from top to bottom using the picture above. Below, you can see the swatches.

The first eyeliner by Essence (the blue one) is called "Cool down", next we have "Check me out", followed by "Hola, chika!" and "Nightfever". The white eyeliner, which I also use as a base for eyeshadow often, is called "White" (surprise, surprise).

Voilà, thats it for my first post on my favies for spring and summer. Are there any colourful, beautiful eyeliners that you'd recommend?
Would you like to see a part two of other bright eyeliners I own?

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!
