H&M lipstick review

As a beautylover, it's a bit weird that I have never tried out the make-up line from H&M. I have a few of their glitter dust items, but aside from that, I have never tried anything else.
Working for H&M has given me the chance to get to know the brand and the products. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised, because I never expected the cosmetics to be this good.

I try not to post too much about H&M because I'm a bit worried some people might just see this as a promotional post. However, when I got two of the lipsticks, I was beyond excited and couldn't just keep this to myself.

Today I'm reviewing "Lenox Lounge" for you, a beautiful, matte wine red lipstick by H&M.
The packaging of this lipstick is black and gold. I love the fact that the packaging isn't just one colour. It makes it a little more special.

Here's a swatch of what the colour of this lipstick looks like. A little darker than the red lipsticks I normally get, but so beautiful. The perfect cherry red!

Like I said, the quality surprised me in a good way. You pay €9.99 for a lipstick like this, but it's worth it.
The lipstick isn't as creamy as I hoped but it doesn't dry out your lips any more. When I eat, I touch the lipstick up once and I'm good for the rest of the day.

Enjoy the rest of your day! See you on Saturday!

EOTD: Orange

Goodmorning everyone! I'm glad you're here again.
Today's look is a look that I created with the new MAC products I got earlier this week. I was so excited to play with all my new colours because I picked out colours that I don't have in my collection yet. I figured if I'm going to spend a lot of money on make-up, I might as well go for something special. I never really go for neutral shades or highlight colours because there are plenty of other brands (and cheaper ones) that make them too and they're just fine.

This look is so easy but looks like you've put a lot of effort into it.
For today's look I used the "Suspiciously sweet" and "Red brick" in my crease. I darkened up my crease with "Swiss Chocolate".
For my eyelid, I used a sample of the "Copper spark" pigment that the MAC make-up artist made for me. It's absolutely gorgeous!

Here are some close-ups of the look that I made:

And this is what the full face looks like. I did end up applying some gel eyeliner to my lower waterline to get more of the "smokey eye" effect. My eyeliner and mascara are by Essence, still, after all these years.

Thanks a lot for reading! Have a good one!

NEW IN: MAC

Goodmorning everyone!
How have you been? For the first time in a long time, I have finally had the chance to spend some time at my local MAC store and treated myself to a couple of new eyeshadows.

I'm not brand loyal to most brands (I'll try out pretty much anything that looks good to me), but I prefer some products from certain brands. MAC, for example, is the brand that I like eyeshadows from. Not all of them are equally pigmented but the ones that are, blow you away.
The red and copper eyeshadows have been trending for a while now and I decided to get some more bright, vibrant oranges and reds that are unlike any other in my make-up collection.
Let's have a look!

One of the eyeshadows I got is "Amber Lights". I have purchased this one before but I accidentally dropped my palette and this eyeshadow broke completely (and with it, my heart broke as well).
This is just such a pigmented and vibrant gold, I love it!

Next I got two orange eyeshadows. I already have a copper MAC eyeshadow called "Coppering" and also a orange toned one called "Texture", but these ones are even more 'extreme'. "Suspiciously sweet" looks a little bit like their eyeshadow "Paradisco", but is more pigmented and is a little bit more orange.

This next eyeshadow is an eyeshadow that is a very very bright orange. It almost looks like a red. I got this one because I heard so many good things about this colour and various people recommended it to me.

My next eyeshadow, "Ruddy" is a beautiful red sparkly eyeshadow. Unfortunately this one was a little damaged when I got it, but it's so so beautiful!

Last but not least I also got two darker colours, they are called "Antiqued" and "Swiss Chocolate".

I will have some make-up looks soon using these eyeshadows. I'm so excited and can't wait to hear your opinions on it!

Have a lovely Sunday! See you soon!

NYX lipcream review!

When my boyfriend and I went to London back in January last year, it felt like we were in heaven. We both did shopping and both got the chance to buy things that aren't available to us here in Belgium.

My boyfriend's favourite shops to go to were basketball and shoe related stores, mine were - surprise - make-up! I got three NYX lipcreams which I wrote a review on at the time. You can click to read the review here.
However, there were a couple colours that were completely sold out and that I really loved. I don't know how he remembered, but my dad got me some of those colours for me birthday! He was absolutely adorable about it, all of the make-up he got me, he packed seperately, so when he walked in he had a big bag full of gifts.

I got two colours, the nude one is called "Abu Dhabi" and the darker red is called "Rome". You can see the swatches of the two colours in the picture below.

This first lip cream is a nude one. Luckily, it's not too pale and doesn't make you look like you're one of the walking dead.

I thought the "Rome" lip cream would be a very dark red one, but this lip cream turned out to be a little bit darker than the colour of my lips.
It's not extremely dark and can be worn on a daily basis. It isn't too over the top, I'd even wear it to work.

The quality of the lip creams is something that I have discussed in my previous post (that is linked) already.
It's very creamy and is easy to apply - the coverage is thesame everywhere so you don't have to re-apply certain areas which is great. The texture is very smooth and soft.

I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon!

H&M Tuscan eyeshadow palette

Goodmorning everyone! I'm back with a review on one of my favourite birthday presents this year. My collegues at H&M got me a Tuscan eyeshadow palette for my birthday.

This palette is absolutely gorgeous. It holds 20 eyeshadow colours that range from light to dark. There's cool toned shades and warm toned shades in this palette as well. The pops of eyeshadows in this palettes are the copper/red's and the green shades. Most of the eyeshadow colours are glittery.

This is what the palette looks like. The daylight really doesn't do it any justice. If you should come across this palette, see for yourself, it's absolutely gorgeous.
I decided I would go for a pink/copper make-up look (I've really been into coppers and reds for my eyes).

Here are some swatches from the palette. I was very surprised by the pigmentation. Sure, the darker colours have some fall out, but the colour pay off is so much better than I expected!

Here's the finished look and some close up pictures!

Thanks a lot for reading!
Have a lovely day!

21st!

Goodmorning everyone! How have you been?
This week has been crazy for me. I celebrated my 21st birthday! Finally 21!

The day of my birthday, my boyfriend and I decided to go have dinner at one of our favourite restaurants, called Poules Moules. We always go there on birthdays and always get treated like royalty.
We had three courses and some delicious drinks - and my boyfriend ended up paying the bill even though it was my treat. He also surprised me with a gorgeous Michael Kors purse.

We had the best time and a couple days later I organised a little drink with friends, family and collegues. I had a blast and even though it wasn't a night of heavy partying and drinking - I enjoyed it so much!
I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek inside my week. Thanks for reading! Have a good one!
