Book haul: "Wreck this journal"

Hello! How are you?

Last week I finally bought a book that I have been wanting for a reaaaally long time:
WRECK THIS JOURNAL.

Basically, this book is a journal but it's not a normal journal. You can't write about your feelings or stuff that happened that day. It's a book with many activities that you can do - no typical activities, but okay - sounds fun to me!

I think when I did everything in the book, it won't even be a book anymore. You have to take it with you when you're in the shower, you have to throw it around (which my dad already did for me when I was reading it in the park), you have to pick it up without using your hands, ...

Normally I'd go crazy if someone threw my book around or did anything else with it, but I mean, it's obviously the meaning of this whole book.
It's something new and I'm sure good memories will be made. I'll let you know how it goes!

Do you have this book already?

Book haul!

Hi!
Here I am again with another book haul! Last week I bought two really interesting books!

The first book that I bought is "Mr. Mercedes", by Stephen King. It looks like an amazing book to me, I've always liked Stephen King's books! As always it's full of scary things, murder and mystery! I'll let you know what I think about it!

The next book I bought is a book about mythology. In this book, all the mythology from different areas and times is written down. I think mythology is very interesting and I also think it's going to come in handy next year when I'm studying History.

Thanks for reading!

Book haul!

Happy Wednesday!
I have been reading a lot these last months, and of course when I'm out of books, I like to buy a couple of new ones.
Today I'm here with a new book haul.

The first one that I got is "The Selection" by Kiera Cass. It's about 35 girls who all want to win one prince's heart. It reminds me of reality tv a little bit, I hope it will be better than reality tv. This is the first book of a series. I'm quite curious!

Next I also got "Pandemonium" and "Requiem", the second and third book in the "Delirium" series by Lauren Oliver.
I have almost finished the first book, "Delirium" and I'm craving more!
I will be writing more book reviews soon!

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

Book haul: "Delirium" by Lauren Oliver

You guys know that I love books, right?
In case you didn't: I love books!

I have been in love with dystopian books especially! I just finished a young adult series (4 books) and now it's time to look for something else to read. I've been wanting "Delirium" by Lauren Oliver for a long time, but I only wanted to buy it once I had read my other books, so now was a good time!

I was so happy they still had this book in the bookstore! It was the last one!
Here's a short summary, in case you wanted to know what the book is about:

"The totalitarian government teaches that love is a disease, named amor deliria nervosa, commonly referred to as "the deliria". A surgical cure for the deliria has been developed and is mandatory for citizens 18 years old and over. Lena has looked forward to the procedure for years, convinced as she is by the government that love is a horrible disease that must be destroyed from mankind's system.
However, mere months before her scheduled procedure, Lena falls in love with a boy named Alex."

I looked online and saw that Elle Fowler did a review on this book, so, if you still want more information... Here it is!

Thanks for reading!

NEW IN: hair care and and colour explosion!

Hi! I have another mini haul for you! Let's start by saying I forgot to put one item in the photograph because my sister had it in her bag (mine wasn't big enough). It's a hair repair hair mask by Schwarzkopf. I got it because my hair has always been a bit dry, but going back to blonde didn't give my hair a boost so...
I really want to do the best I can and keep it healthy.

Next I got another hairspray for when I decided to make another hair do. This is just the drugstorebrand, nothing exciting really.

I also got an Essence nailpolish. Lately, I've been buying more nailpolishes. These last few months I've barely painted my nails but now I'm back into it! The colour that I got is a cute mint green, which I like a lot, and it looks fresh this summer as well!

The last item that I got it a blue mascara by 2B. I was so excited when I heard about coloured mascara's coming back again! I'd been searching for it for a while, and now that I saw it, I had to have it! They also had purple and other colours. I was doubting which one to take at first (since I didn't want to buy 4 mascara's at once) but I decided to go for the blue in the end. Maybe I'll pick up the purple one later!

I also placed an order at eyelipsface (E.L.F.) - so those products should get here soon! I know E.L.F. is a quite cheap but good quality and a very well known brand in beauty world, but for some reason I never got anything.
Maybe that's because I don't like to order makeup online? Oh well, I did for the first time now and I can't wait to get my new stuff delivered! I'll haul that too! (Oh god, I'm buying a lot of makeup again!)

Thanks for reading! Have a nice day!

NEW IN (and lovin'): everyday makeup organiser

Hello everyone! Good morning! How are you doing?
I'm so excited to show you one of my newest purchases! My father always complains that I have too much makeup laying around on my vanity, but it's always stuff that I use on a daily basis.
Yesterday I found this! This is an acrylic makeup organiser. Basically you just put your most used makeup in there and put it on your desk or on your vanity - how easy can it be?

I have been searching for something like this for a while now so I'm very happy to finally have it!

The first thing I did was to fill up the biggest space with a lipbalm, a concealer (review), a makeup palette (review), shimmer powder and fixing compact powder (review). Then I put my newest foundation in the biggest hole I could find. Next to it, I put my two BB creams (review).
After that, I had some space left for two lipsticks (review), my liquid eyeliner (review) and my mascara (review). I also squeezed an H&M lipgloss next to my foundation (review). Voilà, this is everything I could possibly ever need on a "normal" day.

I thought I'd let you know in case you want one yourself. I got mine for - I think - $1 or $2 and I got it from a shop called "Action", which is a store that sells a lot of different things for a low amount of money. If you don't have Action stores in your town, I think they also have these makeup organisers Office Depot or Target. I don't have Office Depot or Target in my town, but I've seen a bunch of makeup organisation videos on youtube in which those stores are mentioned.

Thanks for reading! Have a nice day!

Huge book haul!

Hello you guys!
Two more days and my exams will (finally) be over! The last few weeks I have been collecting some new books to keep myself busy during summer but I've never shown them. That's why today I decided to make a huge bookhaul!

Here’s a list of the names and writers of these books:
  • Sebastian Fitzek: “The eye collector”
  • Asa Larsson: “Sun storm”
  • Dutch, non translated book (holds two stories) Kluun: “Komt een vrouw bij de dokter” and “De weduwnaar”

Next I have a book from David Baldacci, I've never read one of his books but I'm quite excited to see if I like them. I don't know how the book is called in English but literally translated it's "Foul play". It's a thriller!

I also got a war diary by an artist and soldier called Len Smith, who wrote from 1914-1918 about his experiences in the trenches. Over the last few years I've become very interested and fascinated with the two world wars so... I also think this book is personal and it's a good source of information. Bookreviews of these books will be up as soon as I finish them! Have you read any good books lately?

See you later! Thanks for reading!

New in: Color Magic eyeshadow kits!

Hey you guys! Last week a very cheap shop called "Action" opened in my city. Action is a store that has a big assortment, you can find everything there: they have makeup, cooking stuff, food, hair dye, home decoration,...

I went to check out there makeup products and I found these eyeshadow kits by a brand that I had never heard of before. The brand is called "Color magic". I brought home two of their eyeshadow sets.

This is what the sets look like, I got both warm and cold colours!

The "warm colors" set holds two different colour palettes. One side is green, the other side is pink (and purple). The design of the eyeshadow palettes reminds me of Dior, by the way!

The "cool colors" palette holds brown and blue colours...

I think these palettes look amazing! I haven't had much time to play around with them yet but I certainly will! Now, I'm curious... Have you ever heard of this brand?
Swatches and makeup looks will be up soon! Thanks for reading!

New in: Things I bought in Paris

Hello you guys! As you know I've visited Paris on Friday. Not only did I visit a lot of special places like the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame (amongst others), I also did a little bit of shopping. We didn't have a see of time, it was more like what I like to call 'speed shopping'.

So I went to a couple of local souvenir shops to get some presents. I'm not going to put a picture up of those items because the people who will receive these gifts do read my blog (I don't want to spoil anything).
I also got a new dress by New Look that I'll be wearing when it's sunny! Outfit posts will come up as soon as possible!

On to the items that I CAN show you! These are, exept for the wine opener, all by H&M and New look.
The first palette is by Kelly Brook for New Look. It's a smokey eye palette - I already took a peak and it looks good. I can't wait to start swatching and making looks!

Next I have two palettes by H&M; a palette with neutral brown colours (smoky) and a palette with nude, light colours (nudes). I've never tried H&M makeup before so it should be interesting!
As always, reviews will be up as soon as possible!

Next I have two hair flowers, they're also by H&M and an iPhone cover, which is not for me, I don't have an iPhone. I thought it was adorable!
The wine opener next to the cover is from a local shop in Paris

Book Haul: "Genesis" by Karin Slaughter

Hello you guys! These last few weeks I haven't only been reading young adult books (like The Hunger Games and Divergent) but also a lot of thrillers. Normally I'm not really good with thrillers because I get scared really easily but the book stand with thrillers on it in my bookstore has become something that I always check when I go there.

I think it was two days ago I went to the bookstore and I was hanging out there, reading the summery of a lot of books when I found this one. It seemed quite interesting to me!

"Three and a half years ago former Grant Country medical examiner Sara Linton moved to Atlanta hoping to leave her tragic past behind her. Now working as a doctor in Atlanta's Grady Hospital she is starting to piece her life together. But when a severely wounded young woman is brought in to the emergency room, she finds herself drawn back into a world of violence and terror. The woman has been hit by a car but naked and brutalised it's clear that she has been the prey of a twisted mind.

When Special Agent Will Trent of the Criminal Investigation Team returns to the scene of the accident he stumbles on a torture chamber buried deep beneath the earth. And this hidden house of horror reveals a ghastly truth - Sara's patient is just the first victim of a sick, sadistic killer. Wrestling the case away the local police chief, Will and his partner Faith Mitchell find themselves at the centre of a grisly murder hunt. And Sara, Will and Faith - each with their own wounds and their own secrets - are the only thing that stands between a madman and his next crime..."

I already get the chills when I read the summery. I can't wait to read the book and see what it's all about - more detailled. I love it when all the pieces start to fall together in thrillers, it's both fascinating and scary in a way!

Have you read any good books lately?

March book buys

Hi guys! I'm on a study break right now so I thought that maybe it would be nice to show you guys this months book buys. I only do these kind of posts when I've bought more than one book in a month, and this month I got three.
I love books, I buy them all the time, but especially now it takes me a little while to read them. It's a good thing I'll have two weeks off soon, so that I can catch up on my books.

So the first book I got this month is "Insurgent" by Veronica Roth. It's part of a series. First I got "Divergent", the first book in this dystopian series and I loved it so much that I went to check my bookstore very week. It took me a little while to find this book and when I did I had to have it! Of course, now I don't really know what happened in the first book so I'll be re-reading that one, just to understand the second one better.

And then yesterday I got two Stephen King books, they were cheaper than normally and since I don't own any Stephen King books yet (I have read a few already though) so I though I wouldn't regret getting these.
Whenever I read a chapter that he's written I get so scared that I can't sleep for two days (last book I read was about a man who killed his wife and rats would start to haunt him - and that was only the beginning!)
But I admire the man and I think I will enjoy these books a lot. I'm really excited to read these books. I'll probably do that in weekends or so, so that I don't appear like a zombie at school, haha!

"Lisey's story" and "Four past midnight"

Bookreviews will be up as soon as I finish the books! Do you have any book recommandations for me?
I'll see you soon!

Shopping Haul

Hi everyone!  Today I'm going to show you what I got when I went shopping yesterday. I know it's a little bit later than expected but the internet is so slow at the moment! Sorry!

I almost got Steve Madden shoes yesterday. After shopping for a few hours I had a lot of money left. I asked the girl in the store if they had the shoes that I liked in my size and she replied that there were almost no shoes left in my size! It made me a little bit sad because I really loved the shoes they had in the store. Next time better?
Anyways I did get quite a few beauty items and I'm going to show them today. There are both budget proof items and a high end item! Here we go!

The first palette I got is "Twinkle in the eye" by Catrice. I thought it looked cute and I didn't have any palette with colours that looked like this.

Swatches! Looks pretty good, huh?

This lipstick is called "Violet Crush". It's a matte lipstick.

Oh how glad I am I finally got myself a lipstick from Estée Lauder! I hear such good things about it all the time. This lipstick is pink/purple. It's a very special colour. I really love it. In the picture it'll look a bit more pink than it is in real life. Normally I like red lipsticks more but this one is really great as well!

This "stay all day" eyeshadow by Essence is called "Coppy right". I think it looks great! You can build up the colour and I just love it! The colour is a bit between green and brown.

I got two body butters! Oh god I really love these! They smell very very nice!

Another Essence item! A little while back I got an eyeshadow from the Fantasia collection and now I got a highlighter. The main reason I didn't get it last time is because it was sold out, haha! I heard great things about this and I'm very excited to try it. Doesn't look to bad, now does it? I really love the design.

Nothing really special, this last item. I got an eyebrow pencil by Catrice!
I also got some non-beauty items. I got 5 of the Harry Potter books (like I said, I really wanted them!). It was the perfect day to celebrate the ending of my exams.
Reviews and more pictures are coming up soon!

How was your day?

New In: Makeup Kit!

I love this time of year: gift sets everywhere, nice products for a very low price, all that kind of stuff.
Yesterday I took a bit advantage of it when I got myself a makeup kit.
It holds two blushes, three nailpolishes, four lipsticks and four makeup palettes (they all hold 6 colours). I couldn't test the pigmentation in the store so I just took it and hoped it would be good.
Once I got home I ripped all the plastic and all the paper of this kit and tried out the eyeshadows (they were the main reason I got this kit).
Holy moly, that pigmentation is great! The makeup doesn't have a brand, which is a bit typical for local stores so I couldn't tell you what it's called, but I do really like it.
After all I was a bit scared to get it because I didn't want to spend money on a worthless product but wow... Very lovely!
I'm a very huge fan of experimenting with makeup and now I own quite a few new or different colours. Also, this is perfect for the holidays, not only to give away, but also to get it for yourself (like I did, after all I'm a makeup freak!)
It's also great because I love doing makeup on other girls, so now I have a lot more colours that I can use.

Remember the Christmas makeup ideas post I once did? Well, a few sequals are coming and I think I will also use makeup from this kit. Today I'm not going to show a look because I don't have very much time (very hard exam tomorrow but I didn't want to skip the blogging), but I'll try to do it later this week or maybe next week. You'll also see swatches and read reviews then!
PS Do you have a look in mind that you'd like to see? With specific colours? Let me know in the comments if you do!

PS don't forget to participate in my giveaway!

New In: Rimmel London and Essence

Hello! How are you doing?
So yesterday I went to a couple of stores and one of them sold makeup... You can guess it already: I got something!

I got the last "Kiss Of Life" lipstick by Rimmel London (the Kate Moss collection) and I got something from the new Essence "Fantasia" collection. It's a babypink eyeshadow called "Have you seen my unicorn?"

I'm very glad I got this lipstick. It was on my Christmas wishlist! Also, it was the last red one in the store so I was very very lucky!

How it looks on my lips...

The Essence eyeshadow! A bit shimmery, level 100 of cuteness! They also had a nailpolish colour that looked just like this eyeshadow! I didn't bring it with me...

And this is how it looks! The pigmentation is "okay". It's not "wauw" but it's not bad either. This is one wipe. I will try to make a look with it so that I can show it to you guys.
The colour is very light so it might by hard to take pictures of it, but I'll try!

PS Don't forget to check out my giveaway!
You can still participate!
