The Body Shop shower gel review

One of the litte things in life that can make me really happy is scents. I love waking up in the morning when my room still smells like the perfume I put on the day before. I also love taking long hot showers.

Showering has just gotten better since I started using The Body Shop Mango shower gel. I never tried these before but about a week ago, the shower gels were on sale. Perfect time to try! I got three bottles (mango scent, choclate scent and strawberry scent) for €12, which isn't even really expensive if you think about it.

I decided I would use my mango shower gel first, because I also have a mango body butter and using them together seemed like a good idea to me. This shower gel is soap free by the way, for any of you ladies or men who are allergic!

Let me just say, I feel like I'm in a tropical paradise when I smell this. My god, does this make me feel reborn! I nearly can't stop sniffing myself (haha, this sounds so wrong)!
When I get out of the shower I put on my mango body butter over it, which makes me smell like mango's even more and I love it. I smell good all day and in the end, isn't that what we all want?

I was also surprised how little of this product you need! I didn't expect it but I think if you use it everyday, you won't empty it until one or two months after. Unless you really use lots and lots.

So yes, these shower gels are a big big favourite of mine! I can't believe I didn't try them for so long! Next time they are on sale, I will probably get 20 more of these bottles.
What's your favourite scent?!

Thanks for reading! Make someone smile today!

The Body Shop lip balm review

Hello everyone! Today I have a review om my lip balm by The Body Shop. I got it one week ago and I had never tried this before so I was very excited!

Below, you can see what the packaging looks like. There's a lot of product in it actually! I think this will last a while. I also love the packaging. It's been quite a while since I've seen a lipbalm this cute.

The flavour of my lipbalm is passionberry. It smells and tastes amazing. The lipbalm is purple which is cool too, but luckely it doesn't really show on your lips. That way you can still wear it and take good care of yourself, but your lips won't look bright purple, so it's still appropriate.

This is what you see when you open up the jar, a jelly substance. Some people might not like this because you have to actually put your finger in the jar and apply the lipbalm with your fingers (unless you use a brush but nobody I know does that with lipbalm).

I actually personally prefer this over the "lipbalm stick". If other people want to barrow it, they just wash their hands, apply the lipbalm, done. Whereas you can never really tell someone to wash their lips when they want to put chapstick on and so it's less hygienic. Or at least that's my opinion.

This lipbalm was €2.50 if I remember correctly. I can't wait to purchase and try more of these lipbalms! Have you tried lipbalms by The Body Shop? What's your opinion?
Thanks for reading!

Haul: a few makeup products and a lot of The Body Shop

Since the sales have started, I've been wanting to go and check out what was left in the stores. Most of the time I only get basics, but every once in a while, there's actually something interesting to find. I decided to do that yesterday. After I succeeded my theoretical driver's licence exam (yay!) I took myself out for lunch and quite a bit of shopping. I thought the winter clothes were a little disappointing everywhere (the best had been picked out already but I still got a couple of nice things) but I got a lot of other stuff such as pants, skirts, summer clothes, clothes for exercising and .... makeup!

I actually got a little bit of makeup and a lot of The Body Shop goodies. Normally I don't purchase more than one or two products but there was a lot on sale so I decided to test out a couple of products. I got two body butters (love them!), three shower gels and one lip scrub. I should like the shower even more thanks to these products! I'll have a list below with all the products and prices!

Claire's false lashes: €3
H&M "Nudes" eyeshadow palette: €2.95
Bodybutters by The Body Shop: €20 (for two)
Body gels by The Body Shop: €12 (for three)

Chocolate Strawberries!

Hello everyone!
The post is a bit later online today, I know, I've been working on a school project with class mates and I just got home, that's why.

Anyways, today my post is going to be about the amazing body butters by The Body Shop. I know a lot of bloggers write about this and it's a very known product in the beautyblogger world, but oh well.
I got these two little body butters a little less than a month ago. They are "mini", so they were cheaper.
Not only is this great to give away, like for the holidays, it's also amazing if you want to try out a new scent but you're not sure if you'll still like it after a while. So you grab this just to be safe.

I got two mini body butters for myself. These two are ones that I had been wanting for a really really long time. The Chocomania body butter, which smells just like chocolate (and I also like the picture on the jar a lot), and the strawberry body butter.

So after almost a month using these two body butters, I'm still not close to emptying the jars (which won't happen soon, I hope, because I love them so much!)
I combine them; one week I use strawberry and the other week I use chocolate. My sister doesn't like any of the scents, she says she likes the mango one better (she has it herself).
I know I do really like them and I know exactly which ones I would like to repurchase... Full size this time!

If you ever have the chance to try out the little ones, don't pass up the opportunity, I have been enjoying it for quite a while now and I think this is just a safe way to try all of the scents, or a great way to give your friends something they might want to try/like. I'm not sure if they still sell it throughout the year, but I'll check next time I go there and I'll let you know!

Have a good evening!

Shopping Haul

Hi everyone!  Today I'm going to show you what I got when I went shopping yesterday. I know it's a little bit later than expected but the internet is so slow at the moment! Sorry!

I almost got Steve Madden shoes yesterday. After shopping for a few hours I had a lot of money left. I asked the girl in the store if they had the shoes that I liked in my size and she replied that there were almost no shoes left in my size! It made me a little bit sad because I really loved the shoes they had in the store. Next time better?
Anyways I did get quite a few beauty items and I'm going to show them today. There are both budget proof items and a high end item! Here we go!

The first palette I got is "Twinkle in the eye" by Catrice. I thought it looked cute and I didn't have any palette with colours that looked like this.

Swatches! Looks pretty good, huh?

This lipstick is called "Violet Crush". It's a matte lipstick.

Oh how glad I am I finally got myself a lipstick from Estée Lauder! I hear such good things about it all the time. This lipstick is pink/purple. It's a very special colour. I really love it. In the picture it'll look a bit more pink than it is in real life. Normally I like red lipsticks more but this one is really great as well!

This "stay all day" eyeshadow by Essence is called "Coppy right". I think it looks great! You can build up the colour and I just love it! The colour is a bit between green and brown.

I got two body butters! Oh god I really love these! They smell very very nice!

Another Essence item! A little while back I got an eyeshadow from the Fantasia collection and now I got a highlighter. The main reason I didn't get it last time is because it was sold out, haha! I heard great things about this and I'm very excited to try it. Doesn't look to bad, now does it? I really love the design.

Nothing really special, this last item. I got an eyebrow pencil by Catrice!
I also got some non-beauty items. I got 5 of the Harry Potter books (like I said, I really wanted them!). It was the perfect day to celebrate the ending of my exams.
Reviews and more pictures are coming up soon!

How was your day?
