EOTD: Flawless part 3

Happy Monday! How have you been?
I'm back with another make-up look that I made using the Original Flawless palette by Make-up Revolution.
This will probably be one of the last looks I make with the Flawless palette.
Next week I'll start doing make-up looks using the Flawless 2 palette, which I haven't used for a look yet so that's something to look out for!

Today's look is another "darker", but soft look. I used a taupe eyeshadow in the crease and a chocolate brown eyeshadow in the outer corner of the crease to darken it up. After blending, I used two shades of shimmery silver. The lightest shade in the inner corner of my eye and the darkest shade in the outer corner.

Instead of going for liquid eyeliner, I decided to go for pencil eyeliner. I smudged it out a little bit and applied mascara as a last step.

I'll see you soon!

FOTD: Mom 💄

Hello! How are you?
I've been spending a lot of time with friends and family recently. Last night I spent time with my mom and I did her make-up. My mom doesn't wear make-up that often because she has very sensitive skin but she sucked it up and made the best of it.
Of course I decided I wanted some pictures for the blog!

We went for full face make-up with contouring and everything. Mom wanted a smokey eye so that's what we did, we ended up adding green. We both were very happy with the endresult! What do you think?

FOTD: College friend ♥

As someone who is very interested in make-up, beauty and hair, I spend a lot of time on the Internet. I like to read other blogs to get insiration or watch videos/tutorials on youtube.
When I first started going to college, way back in September, I never thought I'd meet someone equally interested/obsessed with youtube beauty guru's and blogs. But I did meet someone like that, my good friend Rani.

We have been spending so much time working on school assignments and studying for exams that somehow, our passion got a little lost during the year. Now that the exams are over, I decided it was time to do what I hadn't done in so long: make-up!
Before going out I did a neutral smokey eye on Rani, using "Texture" from MAC as the main eyecatcher. All the other colours I used were different shades of brown.

I realised that it's been too long since I've been doing what I love; blogging, doing make-up. Anyway, I will be working on my timemanagement, as I've said many times before on this blog, and here are a few pictures of the make-up I did on my gorgeous friend!

Have a nice day!

FOTD: Purple Rain

Hey you guys!
Today I have a face of the day. Last week I had to go grocery shopping, but I felt in the mood for something different. So instead of putting a lot of effort in my eye make-up, I decided I'd spice up my lips for a change!

I have to admit I actually really like this look. It's quite simple, yet special! I used my NYX "Purple Rain" lipliner and my Estée Lauder "Violet Crush" lipstick!
As for the eyes, I just lined my waterline using an Essence kohl pencil. My mascara is also by Essence.

What do you think?
Have a lovely day!

Nude 'Tude palette makeup look #1

Hello everyone! I'm back with another post on my Nude 'Tude palette! Today I will be showing you the look that I made with my favourite fall colours from this palette. The girl covered up with these eyeshadows also happens to be my favourite pin-up girl in this palette!

I used "Sexy" on the lid and "Silly" in the crease. It might be a little bit of a darker look, but I think when the days are getting darker, the makeup is allowed to get darker too. It is still wearable though, it's not like a smokey eye or anything. I used blue mascara by 2B for this eyelook because I wore a blue sweater and I wanted to see how it looked. I must say I'm quite satisfied.

On my lips, I used a berry red/wine red/purple-ish kind of lip liner. I got this one from my mom, unfortunately it doesn't have a brand name on it. This colour is for sure a challenge if you're not the kind of girl (or boy) to wear dark colours but it looks very sophisticated and chique (in my opinion).

What do you think of this look? Thanks for reading!

FOTD: Three times blue!

Hi everyone! Last week I tried something new with my makeup! I made a color pop like I often do, but this time I used three different blue colours!
I put a turqoise on the inner part of my waterline, a darker blue (more navy) on the outer part of my waterline and then I put blue mascara on!

It's still quite a simple and wearable look but it has a special "touch" to it!

All the colours (eyeshadow on the lid and eyeshadow on my waterline as eyeliner) are from my E.L.F 144 piece bright eyeshadow palette. The mascara that I used is by 2B.

Face of the day: Old Hollywood

Hi guys! I'm back!
God, am I happy that math exam is over!

Today's weater is nice. It's still cold (still freezing maybe?) but the sun is shining and it's not snowing anymore. I love sunny (and warm) weather because it makes me feel like dressing up. Today I decided I wanted to have a "fancy face".
Liquid, winged eyeliner is a part of my daily look, but I've been skipping the red lipstick these last weeks - so I decided to go for a bit of a "glamour", "old hollywood" look by applying red lipstick and bright pink blush again. I have also been wearing my hair to the side lately, I don't know if I want to grow my bangs out yet or not. It would be nice for vintage hairstyles, but I like my bangs as well, my hair just grows too fast to keep them for a long time.
You'll find a list of the products that I have used below the pictures.

Products used on my face:

FIT ME foundation in "115" by Maybelline
Catrice eyebrow pencil
Catrice "Apricot Smoothie" blush
Drugstore liquid eyeliner
Nivea Lash Elastic mascara
Rimmel London by Kate Moss in "111 Kiss of life"

Have a lovely day!

EOTD: Caramel & Chocolate - Essence pigments!

Hi everyone! I've been meaning to post this look so many times but I just never got around to taking pictures of this look.
As you all know, Essence came out with pigments quite a few months ago. I got two called "Smell the caramel", which is a colour I can't really describe so I would say 'caramel' is a good description, and "Box of chocolate", which is a brown colour.. Don't you just love the names?
The colours are quite neutral, I agree, but all the other pigments that were left in my drugstore were orange or pink ones, and I'm not really a big fan of hot pink eyeshadow on regular days, I think it's just a bit too much.
Oh and I'm sorry for updating this late, my Internet is working against me today.

Okay so here are the products that I've used: my liquid eyeliner from a local drugstore (on the left), my highlighter from NYC in "Basic Instinct" (on top), two jars of Essence pigments - the one on the left is "Smell the caramel" and the right one is "Box of chocolate" - and below, the mascara I used, it's the Mega volume black smoke mascara from L'Oréal.

Swatches! No natural daylight so that's why it looks a bit ... Erm, crappy? Anyways, the left finger is "Box of chocolate", next "Smell the caramel" and last my highlighter.

So this is how it looks... At first I was doubting a bit about how wearable it would be but it turned out to be a fun colour. You can build up the intensity if you want; start light and make it darker if you want to. I ended up liking it a lot, I would just advice to be careful with applying - especially with the darkest colour.

And that's how it looks! Let me know what you think!

I'm leaving + face of the day!

Hello everyone!
Oh god, I am both exited and sad. I'm leaving tomorrow for a trip with school, which is amazing and I think it's going to be a lot of fun. But I won't be able to blog for (maximum) two days, which makes me a bit sad too.
Anyways, I will make it up to you guys with a post about everything that happened there, pictures and all, so that you can see what it was like! After all, I don't want to share fashion and beauty stuff, I also like sharing some personal stuff every once in a while!

Today I just wanted to post my face of the day. I have blogged about my purple Estée Lauder lipstick before and I wore it quite a few times, but never for school. I decided that now was the time to wear it, no matter what anyone said. After all, the only one who has to like the lipstick is me.
And damn, I do really like it! I kept the rest of my face neutral because I didn't want my eye makeup and my lipstick to clash. I don't think it did, I just wore gel eyeliner (Midnight in Paris by Essence, if you're wondering!)
I have a few pictures of my face of the day, scroll down to see them!

Oh, and I just realized that my lipstick matches the colour of my orchids! How cute, don't you think?
Have a good day and I hope to see you on Saturday!

Hello everyone! How is your day?
I'm doing great! I got a new layer of awesomness (read: red hairdye) this morning and I'm really excited about it!
I want to do a face of the day today, I used two products from the Essence Fantasia collection and since I've never shown it in pictures, I got the idea of doing it today.
I used the Essence Fantasia highlighter and a pink eyeshadow from thesame collection called "Have you seen my unicorn"?

Can you see the highlighter too? Isn't it just lovely?

- Purple eyeshadow: 'Swirl it, baby' - Essence Marble Mania collection
- Liquid eyeliner: drugstore brand
- Mascara: L'Oréal 'Black Smoke Volume'

Look of the day using FM makeup palette

Hello!
Happy Wednesday! Wow what a special day! 12/12/12 !

Do you remember the new FM palette that I showed you a few days ago? I finally had the time to make a look with it! I have taken some pictures of it so that I can show it to you.
The look is pretty neutral, I didn't want to over do it or anything. I like to wear neutral colours with a winged eyeliner and a bit of mascara. It's my signature look.
So yeah like I said the swatches of the palette really impressed me. The pigmentation is very good. The eyeshadow applies really well and I think it looks good on me too. I used the lightest colour on my lid, the middle colour in my crease and then I used the darker colour to darken up my outer corner. I made a winged line using Essence gel eyeliner in "Midnight in Paris" and as mascara I used "L'oréal Black Smoke". That's it!

Don't mind the dot next to my eye. It's a so called "beauty mark" ahum! I'm sorry if it bothers you, I'll take pictures of my other eye next time! I just didn't pay attention to it this time.

Oh and don't forget: you can still join my giveaway!
