It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop

Yes, I just quoted the most known Tumblr quote ever in my title and I'm not even sorry.
Recently, I've seen tons of self taught make-up artists, share these pictures of how their make-up was years ago and how it is now.
Feeling inspired, I came online and found some pictures from three years ago. I thought it'd be fun how much I - and this blog - have changed!

Sometimes I feel like I'm not achieving everything I want fast enough and like today's title says, it really doesn't matter how slow you go,
as long as you don't stop.
Because stopping is going backwards. I hope you do take the time to reflect on yourself every once in a while - and if you're a beauty lover like me and you reflect on your make-up skills, I hope it will boost your confidence!

Have a lovely day! I hope to see you soon!

EOTD: Flawless part 3

Happy Monday! How have you been?
I'm back with another make-up look that I made using the Original Flawless palette by Make-up Revolution.
This will probably be one of the last looks I make with the Flawless palette.
Next week I'll start doing make-up looks using the Flawless 2 palette, which I haven't used for a look yet so that's something to look out for!

Today's look is another "darker", but soft look. I used a taupe eyeshadow in the crease and a chocolate brown eyeshadow in the outer corner of the crease to darken it up. After blending, I used two shades of shimmery silver. The lightest shade in the inner corner of my eye and the darkest shade in the outer corner.

Instead of going for liquid eyeliner, I decided to go for pencil eyeliner. I smudged it out a little bit and applied mascara as a last step.

I'll see you soon!

EOTD: Purplish

Hi there!

Today's look is a darker fall look. I decided to use dark eyeshadows instead of the usual liquid eyeliner.
I used two palettes to create this look; my MUA "Undress me too" make-up palette and my NARS "Mélusine" eyeshadow duo.

I started off by applying Essence I ♥ stage eyeshadow base on my eyelid. Then I applied tape on the outer corner of my eye to get a really clean, sharp edge. This is optional, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. (It is a really good guide for liquid eyeliner by the way!)

Next, I applied "Lavish" in my crease and I darkened it up by putting "Obsessed" over it. I blended it out and applied the purple eyeshadow from my NARS eyeshadow duo.
After applying and blending the purple, I decided to apply a little bit of "Corrupt", which is the black eyeshadow from the MUA palette.

The key to a beautiful look is to keep blending and re-applying eyeshadows until you are happy and you have a nice, gradual fade.
After achieving this, I applied "Shy" on my browbone as a highlight and I applied the silver eyeshadow colour from my NARS palette on the lid.

Next, I applied mascara. The one I used is by Essence.

This is what the make-up looks like on my face! I love it! It's so different to not wear eyeliner for once, but I think I'll do this more often!

I hope you have a great day!

MUA "Undress me too" palette review

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!
How are you doing? Last week I told you about my new palette by MUA called "Undressed", but I haven't told you about the second palette, called "Undress me too"!
This palette is - just like the "Undressed" palette - a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palettes.

This palette has more warm colours than the last palette. In the "Undressed" palette I found a couple of pink and brown colours, but this palette has more golds and yellows.
I love gold eyeshadow! Gold eyeshadow makes light eyes (especially blue eyes) pop!

The packaging of this palette is rather simple. This one is packed in white plastic and holds a white brush (the other one was all black). Just like "Undressed", "Undress me too" holds 12 colours, some of them are matte and some of them are shimmery.

Here are the swatches.
I'm quite satisfied. I wasn't very impressed with the other palette because the colours were so light and they didn't look very pigmented, but the colours in this palette and the quality of the palette does please me!
Both the lighter and darker colours are all well pigmented. They are buildable and easy to blend out.

I like this palette a lot. I think the colour payoff is good, the colours are nice, the price is okay.
If you have been doubting to pick this palette up, I suggest you give it a try!
Especially people who want a nice palette that can be used to made for all kinds of different looks or for people who don't wear colour a lot - this is your palette!

Have a lovely day!
Thanks for stopping by!

MUA "Undressed" palette review

Goodmorning!
Today I'm here with my review on the MUA "Undressed" palette.
It has been very very popular because this palette is seen as a cheaper dupe of the "Urban Decay naked palettes".
It took me a while to get my hands on these palettes because they have been old out for a couple of weeks, but last week I got lucky!

The "Undressed" palette is the first palette that was brought out.
The package of the palette is quite simple. I love pretty packaging because it makes me feel special, but these days all the packaging is simple so I guess it's okay. The palette holds 12 colours.
There are a lot of neutral brown and pink colours in this palette, but there are also two darker colours in the right corner.
Along with the eyeshadows, comes a two sided brush.

Here are the swatches!
The swatches are quite good. As you can see, the darker colours are better pigmented than the lighter colours.
I do think the colours are gorgeous, they are neutral but oh so pretty. Who says you need a smokey eye to impress?
I do get fall out so I always do my eye make-up before I do my face make-up. That's always the safest when you're trying a new product.

I'm happy I have this palette. It's a perfect neutral palette and there are so many options on how you can combine the colours. I will for sure have some eye of the day posts up as soon as I can!

Have you tried this palette?
Do you like MUA?

Talk to you soon!

MUA eyebrow set

Hey, hi, hello!
I'm really excited to talk to you about this product! It's the MUA eyebrow set!
I love eyebrow products and MUA is new in Belgium, so I decided to test it!

The packaging of this eyebrow set is pretty simple but I like it!

The palette includes three colours and something that acts like a concealer (in the right corner), there's also a mirror, a little eyebrow brush and a tweezer in this palette.

The pigmentation of these eyeshadows is good enough to get a nice effect, but it's not too pigmented (otherwise you get really dark eyebrows rightaway).
I like this palette, the colours are not too dark and not too light for me, I love how you can mix and match. And it's not that expensive!

Yes, I love MUA. I love this eyebrow set.

MUA eyeshadow palette

Hello to all of you!
Today I'm about to review a product from a brand I have never reviewed before! That's because it's new in Belgium! I couldn't be more excited!

This palette is the matte palette by MUA. I don't own a lot of matte colours so I decided I would take this one home with me.

The packaging of this palette is rather simple. The front is in see through plastic so you can see exactly what colours are in the palette.
On the back, you can see the names of the eyeshadow colours and the name of the palette.

Swatches! The colours are a little less pigmented than I would have hoped.
However, I have used them on a few girls last weekend (for a make-up job) and I find they are easy to build up and nice to work with, even though the pigmentation is not breathtaking!
