Graduation make-up!

Hello everyone!
As you may or may not know, I graduated last week! It was a lot of fun (and a big relief). Today I want to share my make-up look with you.

I wanted to go for something a little bit darker. I was doubting which palette/colours to use, but later on I decided I'd use my Essence quattro palette in "XOXO".
It's a budget palette, but I think it's very pretty and it works well!

My liquid eyeliner and mascara are also by Essence! (What a budget make-up look! I didn't realize!).
The eyeliner on my lower waterline is by L'Oréal. This is the best kohl pencil I've ever had!

What do you think of this look?

Big Apple Bound

Hello everyone!

I'm back!
I'm sorry for not updating and virtually disappearing for a while. I didn't plan it! My keyboard on my laptop has been giving up on me for a while now, but a few days ago, it completely stopped working. I got a replacement now and I'm ready to roll!

Today I'm here with a little bit of a different post. I was challenged to put outfits together for Kendra,  a mom of three who's going to New York. This is the assignment I got:

Big Apple Bound
In just a few short days, I will be leaving to meet up with a group of friends in New York City. The Big Apple has a long history and offers visitors the chance to experience a vast array of new experiences. Planning this trip has built excitement and a new appreciation for all that this major city has to offer travelers. Now that the time to leave is almost here, I have started to pack. I am a mom with 3 children and find myself in need of some real fashion advice. I have created the Kendra Fashion Challenge to get some much-needed advice on what to pack for my upcoming trip in one of NYC best hotels, The Standard Highline Hotel.
In all of our planning one of the easiest thing to agree on was a special outing at the Biergarten. This trendy German restaurant located at the Standard High Line Hotel is home to Chef Kurt Gutenbrunner. In the summer months, guests enjoy dining al fresco, while in the winter months the restaurant is glass enclosed. We are all excited about enjoying a traditional German meal that includes sausage and pretzels. Of course, we will enjoy our German beer during our games of ping-pong. One of our friends ate at the Standard Biergarten on the rooftop of their Los Angles hotel and could talk about nothing else for days after.
Selecting our meal at Biergarten was easy, but there were other outings that required more compromise and research. Choosing between so man wonderful things to see and do is not always easy.. From taking a horse and buggy ride through Central Park to visiting the Standard High Line hotel, one of the best places to stay in the city, I want to look my best and feel my best.

Here are some of the outfits that I had in mind! Eventhough everyone is running in heels in New York, I also got a couple of outfits with wedges or even ballet flats. Who says you can't be fashionable that way? It'll sure  be more comfy, after all, you're on a holiday!

I mixed casual, classy, sexy,....

OOTD: Oral exam 1.0

Hello!
Today I have another outfit, from another oral exam!
I was in a really big hurry so I only got one picture. I wore a dress that I found in Prague. I can't remember the name of the store, sorry!

My necklace and handbag are by H&M. My watch is from New Look.
My shoes are from a local shop!

Thank you for reading!

Bookreview: The Iron Fey series part 3: The Iron Queen

Hello everyone!
Happy Tuesday! Today I have another bookreview for you! I read the third part in the "The Iron Fey" series called "The Iron Queen, and of course, I have some thoughts to share with you!

If you have read my previous bookreviews on this series, you will know that it's about a girl called Meghan Chase, who finds out she's the daughter of a Fey ( a magical creature).
She finds out she has certain powers and in the first two books she battels the Iron Fey. Basically, Iron Fey are the exact same thing as normal Fey, but they're made out of iron, which killes normal Fey.
The more the Iron Fey population grows, the more the world of the normal Fey disappears.

In this book, she has to battle the Iron Fey once again. They are now coming to kill every other Fey because they are ruled by a truely evil king.
Meghan decides to put a stop to it. She is half Fey, but she's also half human, because of that iron doesn't influence her. She takes her best friend and her boyfriend with her. They both can't resist the iron, so they are in a hurry.
Along the way they have to face new dangers and fights everyday, but they also get unexpected help. In the end they do find a way to fix things, but it changes all of their lives.

I was a little bored when I felt a new war coming, I mean, the second book had a war too and I was hoping it wouldn't be thesame all over again. It quite honestly took me some time to read through it because whenever I saw the book on my desk I'd be like: "No, I'm not into this fighting thing".
However, I read through it.
The ending surprised me a lot. It SHOCKED me! I never saw it coming, after all that they have been through you'd think they have a little bit of a happy ending, but no!

I am certainly looking forward to reading the fourth - and last - book in the series. I'm excited to see what's going to happen next!
I sure hope things will be right again between Ash (boyfriend), Meghan and Puck (best friend).

Thanks for reading! Have a good day!

A new tattoo!

Hello everyone! How are you doing?
I am doing really great these days!
I'm excited about a lot of new products I got last week while shopping!
I got a color tattoo by Maybelline last year during the holiday season but I just haven't been using it anymore because it's a dark taupe colour and it's not that pretty to wear dark eyeshadow on a bright, sunny day (at least, that's what I think!).

Of course you know that for every problem there is a solution, so I got one that was beautiful and bright for sunny days. I was doubting if I should get the pink one or the gold one (I never get two at thesame time, they're quite pricey!), but I went for the gold one - even though I was really impressed by both of the color tattoos.

This colour is called "Eternal Gold".

This is what it looks like! It's like summer in a tiny jar! I love it!

As you know, because I said it a hundered times the last time I got a colour tattoo, the texture is creamy, smooth and easy to apply.
The pigmentation of this product is quite nice. It's not too overwelming, but it's just enough to be pretty!

Do you have any colour tattoos you'd like to recommend?

Weekly Diary

Good Sundaymorning guys!
Today I'm going to be showing you some (weekly diary) pictures from these last couple of weeks!
I did try to study a lot so I didn't walk around with my camera all the time to snap some pictures, I just shot a few pictures when I remembered I had some time.

First: flashcards. These have been my best friends EVER these last few weeks. I never used them before, but this year, I noticed it's a quick way to study and I love it!
They have helped me so much. I just wish I didn't have to use so much paper all the time, because yes, I do care about our trees and our environment.

A couple of summaries.

Accountancy! I don't like accountany at all, so I'm glad I had the exam in the first week. I can't wait to see what my result will be.
One thing is for sure: I don't want to be an accountant.

In the meantime I kept receiving letters from some of my pen pals. Made my day (and my study break) more fun! Here I'm decorating my letters with 3D flower stickers!

Unread books...

My make-up look during these few weeks (exept for oral exams): BAREFACED.

Friday evening means a little treat. No studying. Jaclyn Hill videos!

Counting the days until freedom!

In the meantime I have been saving up to buy stuff for my little studio that I'll be moving to in September. I've pretty much got everything, but I wish I could take my dad with me haha, I don't know how I'm going to cope without him! I'm so lucky I can still come back and visit my parents a couple of times each week.
What can I say? My dad is my hero!

How are you all doing? I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday!
Good luck to those of you who are still dealing with exams! Thanks for reading!

OOTD: Oral exam

Hello everyone! How are you?
Even though I had exams, I did get to shoot a few outfit pictures.
Today's outfit is the outfit I wore to one of my oral exams. My goal was to look classy and sophisticated, yet to be dressed warm enough (it was really cold and rainy that day).

My embellished T-shirt is by a new store in my town called "Appel's". It's peplum. It shows just enough curves and it hides just enough curves. I decided to pair it with my regular black pants.
I wore high heels by New Look and I used my H&M shiny clutch to carry my flashcards and pencils and pens in.

What do you think?

Beauty haul!

Hello everyone! I'm back!

I finished my last exam and I couldn't be happier. My sister and I always go shopping after the last exam. So that's exactly what I did yesterday.
I got some fashion items but since most of the items I got are private (if you know what I mean), I decided not to share them with you. Hopefully you'll understand.

I did also get a couple of beauty items.

I heard MUA was coming to Belgium but since it wasn't available in my local drugstore yet, I decided to get it from elsewhere. I looked for the Undressed palettes first (they are cheap Naked Palette dupes), but they were sold out. So I got a couple of other items.

I got a new eyebrow set by MUA and a beautiful neutral make-up palette.
I also got false lashes by Essence and Catrice.
Aside from that, I got another colour tattoo by Maybelline and an eyeshadowbase by Catrice.

I'm not a big nailpolish fan, I don't use it that often because my nails are too weak, but a lot of the beautiful "colour & go" nailpolishes by Essence were on sale so I decided to get a few of them anyway.
I'm graduating soon so I want my nails to look pretty!

Thank you for reading!

Did you see it coming?

Hi everyone!
As you may or may not know, I have exams right now. When you're reading this, I had my first exam (history) already.
History is a good subject of mine so I decided to blog yesterday, but harder subjects that require more studying are coming up very soon.
Needless to say, school is always my first priority, which is why I won't be blogging during the exams. This is my last year in high school and I want to end it properly.

From now until the 19th of June (the day of my last exam), it will be a lot more quiet on here. After that, I'll be back with my results and lots of other blogposts like outfit of the day's and tutorials.
I'm sorry to leave you for nearly three weeks - I really am -, but I will be here all summer to spend time with you guys!

Good luck to all the students out there who will be working their butt off for school. I hope you can reap the rewards.
Thanks for understanding and supporting me. I love you guys.

OOTD: Purple flowers ♥

Hello everyone!
Last month the weather was so so good, I enjoyed it very much. The ladies all over time finally got to show off their legs again, even though they were still a little bit pale... Haha!

I got to wear one of my newest vintage dresses, which I absolutely love! Since I wore it to school, I had to wear a T-shirt underneath. To be honest, I liked it more without T-shirt, but I have to obey the rules.

I don't remember where I got the glasses and the T-shirt from. My dress is from Topvintage (online vintage shop) and my hair flowers are by H&M. My earrings are from New Yorker and the bracelets were a gift from my sister.

 Thanks for reading!
Have a good day!

May empties ♥

Hello everyone! I'm back with my May empties today.
I have emptied two products this month! Two really good products...

First of all, I finished another Catrice camouflage cream. This concealer is high coverage for a very low price, I love it! I think this is the third one I've emptied! What do cost, like €3 ?

I also finished this BB cream that I got from my sister, it's by Miss Sporty and it's called the "So matte perfect stay" in 02 Medium.
The colour is a little bit too dark for my pale face, but I liked it! Miss Sporty is a budget brand and I for sure didn't expect this kind of result. I enjoyed using it a lot, especially on the hot days this month!

May favourites

Hello everyone!
May has been a beautiful month with a lot of good weather and... beautiful new products!
Today, I will be showing you my favourites of May.

The first products I'll be showing you are my favourite eyeshadows of this month.
I love my newest eyeshadow palette called "All about Sunrise" by Essence.

I'm also still madly in love with this L'Oréal eyeshadow called "Forever pink".

And my MAC palette is also one of my favourites. On hot days, this is my go-to palette!

There are times I don't like to use this higlighter and times when I do. This month has been spent obsessing over the higlighter. It's called "Adored" and it's by MAC.

This chubby lip pencil has also been one of my favourites this month. The texture is great, the pigmentation is great, the price is amazing!

Which products were your favies last month?

Weekly Diary

Hello everyone!
It's Sunday again! I hope you're all enjoying a nice, relaxing day!

This week has been really short for me. I only had three days of school, followed by four days of "weekend"! :)
What did I do with all that time? I'll tell you now!

First of all, I got a ton of letters this week! Sometimes I get nothing for a while, sometimes I get a lot all at once. This week, I got a lot! I also went shopping for new stickers, pens and more!

The next few days, I worked a lot. I got to wait tables with German, French, English and Dutch people. They were all mixed up and even though switching languages was a bit confusing at first, I loved it so much!

Of course, I also worked for school, because my final exams are coming up. I'm starting on Wednesday with History and I won't be finished until the 19th of June. This is so weird. In less than a month, I am going to be a graduate (hopefully).

A few good guidelines....

And the next few weeks, I will be working my ass off. I hope I will see some result!

Have a lovely day!
