Travel Diary: A diner and good food ♥ #1

As a teenage girl, I was always very inspired by the fifties. I had a Tumblr blog about Marilyn Monroe and followed Idda Van Munster on Facebook to get vintage inspiration. A few years later, I finally decided to get into it myself, to stop shying away from it, and went full pin-up for a while. (X, X, X, X, X)
I still, to this day wear quite a bit of vintage clothes or like to style my outfits like they did back in the days. Some days a bit more extreme than other days, but always "there".

I have always been fascinated by the American diners, but never found any. In Madrid, I got very lucky. I almost didn't notice this diner, but I'm so glad I did. Apparently this is a chain of diners in Madrid. I'm a BIG fan!

We stayed a couple hours and had some good food (and cocktails of course) while I freaked out about the interior and outfits.

Take a look!

How cute are all the girls? Love their uniforms!

Quite surprising, a chicken and waffle dish. Never had this before, but so yummy!

The food was so good, I overate big time, but it was so worth it! We spent two or three hours inside the diner and it was pure happiness.

OOTD: Pastel Perfect

Hello everyone!
How have you guys been doing? Today I have an outfit of the day for you! I actually wore this outfit last week, when the weather was still good.
Right now, there's a whole lot of rain, a lot of thunder and lightening (which I'm not a big fan of... like, AT ALL) so I'll probably have to stop wearing skirts and dresses for a while.

Anyway, in this outfit I'm wearing I have on a burgundy T-shirt that you (unfortunately) can't see. Over top, I'm wearing a white cardigan. I paired that with my pastel blue skirt (which also has burgundy, light pink and green details in it) and my light beige ballet flats.

OOTD: Parrot ♥

Hello everyone! How have you been doing?

Once again, I have an outfit of the day post for you guys. I know this is not as much fun as it used to be because you always see thesame white wall in the background,
but I don't have my "photographer" (aka sister) here with me now that I live alone and I can't go outside and put my camera on timer because I'm pretty sure it'd get stolen while I wast trying to take a picture.

Okay so today I wore a babyblue dress with parrots on it. This is a halter dress, which is perfect for this kind of weather, it's still quite hot outside!
I got it online (on Topvintage.nl).
I put my beige cardigan over it. This one is from H&M. I tied it in a knot so it wouldn't be too long and take away the "wow" effect of my dress. I quite like how this turned out to be honest! My nude ballet flats are by H&M as well. My watch is from New Look.

I like this look a lot, what do you think about it?

OOTD: Swinging!

Hello everyone!
How have you been holding up?
It's getting colder and colder here in Belgium, but I can't give up on skirts and dresses just yet! This outfit of the day is one that I wore last week, during my very first "real" week of school!

As with my first outfit during the introduction week, I was doubting if I should wear this.
I come from high school and in high school people are very judgemental, not that I have a problem with that, I have a problem with their need to put you down.
Anyway, I decided to just go for it and again - I got zero negativity!

My T-shirt is by H&M, as well as the bun and the flowers in my hair!

OOTD: Casual rockabilly!

Hello you guys!

Ever since I've lived alone, it's become easier for me to take pictures. I have a whole wall to take pictures in front of and the lighting is practically always good!
Today's outfit is an outfit I wore last week. It was a bit colder that day so I decided I wanted to wear pants, but I wanted to keep a vintage feel to it.

These jeans are just basic skinny jeans but I decided to cuff them so that they look more vintage. I put on a striped sweater because stripes and dots are always your friends (especially as a vintage girl).
Then I just added a beige cardigan and a tiny little belt.
A scarf in my hair (it sounds weird but it looks pretty good), shoes on and you're ready to go!

OOTD: First day of school!

Hello everyone!
I've had a good and a long summer, but school has started up for me as well!
This new schoolyear brought a lot of excitement, but this "first day of school outfit" made me freak out a little. I didn't know if I wanted to wear jeans, or go for my pin-up outfit - which would probably make me look like "the weird kid". It's something I have always struggled with and I will probably continue to struggle with it. It isn't easy.

But I thought I should be loyal to myself. There's no point in waiting, there's no point in crawling in a hole, because I know that if I crawl in a hole, I'll never come out of it.
So dispite fear or anxiety, I decided I should just give it a try.... Here's my outfit!

The weather was crazy, it was so hot outside!
I put on one of my favourite skirts by Hell Bunny (pin-up brand ♥). My watch is by New Look. The flowers in my hair, my bun, my shoes, my T-shirt (and a grey cardigan that's not in the picture) are by H&M.

What do you think of this outfit?

Thanks so much for reading today!

Have a good day!

OOTD: Spring is coming!

Hello everyone!
Spring is here and I'm so excited, it's so nice and warm outside. Time for dresses again! I have a little outfit of the day for you. I took this pictures in the house before I went to a friend to celebrate his birthday.

I got my dress from Topvintage. I have said it before and I will say it again: I love their dresses. They are so  comfortable and beautiful! Oh, and also very va-va-voom!
I put a few flowers in my hair for more pin-up "feel", these are by H&M. My make-up is based on this tutorial (click here) and my lipstick is "Russian Red" by MAC.

I love this look!

OOTD: Chin up, pin-up!

Happy Saturday!
Here I am with an outfit post, finally. I had to do some grocery shopping today and I figured I'd wear one of my swing dresses again, it's been a long time! The swing dress is from Topvintage (and so are my shoes) and my shirt is by H&M. I love the colour!

I added pearl earrings and a little elegant necklace, and of course I couldn't leave my lipstick behind! Today I'm wearing MAC's "Russian Red".

In my hair I have some flowers. I wanted to curl my hair at first but I didn't have enough time, unfortunately. The white flower is by H&M and the black one is by Claire's. My watch is by New Look.

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

Vintage haul part 2

This girl right here is so excited for spring and summer! Over these last few weeks, I've collected a couple of skirts and dresses (all pin-up style) that are so incredibly adorable and beautiful! I have put up a post not so long ago showing you a couple of skirts that I got, today it's time to take a peek at two other dresses that arrived!
In these pictures I'm actually wearing the dresses, they're not on my mannequin. What do you like to see most: clothes on the mannequin or clothes on me? Let me know!

Both of the dresses that I got are by Hell Bunny and they're both light blue. I really love bright colours and patterns in the spring and summer, it feels and looks refreshing in my opnion! Ok so here is the first dress (I also have a skirt with thesame pattern that you have seen in outfit posts before!).

This is the skirt with thesame pattern.

The next dress that I got is a halter dress, it's blue as well and it's got parrots on it. It's by Hell Bunny as well! They also had this kind of yellow colour that I really liked but someone got the last item just before I wanted to order it so yeah.

That's my new vintage stuff! Thanks for reading again today!
