Accessories haul #1 💗

Any fashion blogger or stylist will tell you that basic items are the most important items in your closet. They will also tell you that you should use accessories to spice things up: okay, the trendy accessories do change up from time to time, but they're cheaper to replace. Fashionable clothing items are not so easy to replace (imagine having to buy something from every new collection, sometimes it's just not possible).

I decided to follow my own advice and go shopping for accessories, since I obviously needed some new, fresh items!

You may or may not know this, but I'm a huge fan of statement necklaces. I love the ones that H&M and New Look sell, because they have so many options: there's literally something for everyone (different styles, colours, sizes,..).
Here's what I got!

H&M
I love the necklaces that H&M makes with more than one option. For example this shell necklace, it's so cute, but they give you some more ocean inspired jewels in case you want to change it up!

New Look
So delicate and sophisticated!

Claire's

Claire's is a shop that in my opinion you love or you hate. Some of my friends think it's an awesome shop, others think it's a shop for teenage girls.
I used to go there to get hair grips and such, but after getting my nose pierced, I also tried a couple of their piercings. I never had any problems with the studs and they're quite cheap, so I went back to check out the other piercings they have for sale.
I ended up getting this pack of four with summerproof belly button piercings!

That's it for part one! I have a part two coming up that are a bit more about earrings and ear cuffs. I hope you'll be here to read that too!

Thanks for visiting today!

Sleek haul!

Happy Thursday everyone!
Today is my daddy's birthday, so happy 50th birthday dad!

It's been quite a while since I went shopping, but I had to be in the city center to get my dad's present anyway, so I decided to look around some shops while I was there.
Of course I was drawn to make-up stores, and in one of the stores, I actually found a rather nice suprise: Sleek!

Sleek is a brand of make-up that used to be nearly impossible to get your hands on. Back in the days, I used to dream of these palettes, but I never got them before. (Mainly because I don't like to order online - especially not make-up).

I think we all know I didn't just get my dad a present, I also got myself a present! I bought two items by Sleek. One eyeshadow palette called "Storm" and one eyebrow set. My eyebrows are quite important to me and my other MUA set was done anyways, so why not test this one?

I didn't really know which eyeshadow palette to pick, I think I had six options, but I decided not to go for neutral colours, because I tend to do that quite often and I have enough basic/simple/neutral palettes as it is.
I also didn't want a very flashy eyeshadow palette because I know I wouldn't touch it anyways, so I got something in between: a palette called "Storm", which has neutral/more intense colours. The packaging of this product reminds me of MUA, but I will go more in depth about that in my review.

I must say that the eyebrow palette reminds me of the ELF eyebrow set that I used to have. There's also one gel and one actual powder. This kit also holds mini tweezers and two brushes.
These products look really, really good to me! I can't wait to review them for you!
My reviews on these products will be up shortly so I hope to see you then! Thanks for reading!

"Crossed" bookhaul!

Happy Thursday!
Welcome back! How's life?

I have been living a pretty normal life. Reading books in school, and reading books at home! Of course books don't last forever, so I have to get new ones!
That's what I did! I told you about the "Matched" series by Ally Condie before. Maybe you've read them yourself (if so, please let me know what you think of this series).

I'm currently reading the first one (Matched) but I also purchased the third book (Reached). Now, I can't continue this series if I don't have the second book, can I? Ive been looking for it for quite a while, but I couldn't find it (just like I couldn't find the first one for a really long time), so I decided I'd order it!

It finally arrived! I have no idea what's going to happen in this book, but I know I can't wait for whatever adventure is coming my way!
By the way, am I the only one who LOVES the covers of these books? They are so simple, but so pretty! I know you're not supposed to judge a book on it's cover, but a pretty cover always helps!

I'll keep you posted!

Book haul: Young Adults!

Hey you guys!
It's the last days before school start for me and I've been trying to enjoy myself! It's a good thing there are books around to keep me busy sometimes!
I recently did some bookshopping (again) and I got two books. Both books are dystopian and both books are the sequals of books I already have!

The first book that I got is the second part of the "Selection" trilogy. I must be honest, I haven't even read the first book yet, so it better be good!

The other book that I got is "Reached" by Ally Condie. This is the last book in the "Matched" trilogy. I have just started reading this trilogy right now.
Reviews will be online soon!

HUGE MAC Cosmetics haul!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm back with a huge MAC haul! Last Friday I celebrated my 18th birthday and on Monday I had a little get together with friends. A few of them gave me a giftcard from MAC. I couldn't be more excited!
Today I went to the MAC store and I got a couple of items that I liked!

The first thing that I got was a palette that could hold 15 colours. I filled it up with seven colours (you can see them above). I got "Paradisco", "Star Violet", "Cranberry", "Deep Truth", "Satin Taupe", "Espresso" and "Trumptuous Olive".

All the MAC eyeshadows that I own now
I also got a liquid concealer in NW 20. I'm normally a NC 20 but they didn't have it in stock so the make-up artist gave me this one instead!

When I went to check out, I saw these mini MAC pigments. I decided I wanted to try one! I got one called "Rose", which is a pigment with pink and gold. It's absolutely stunning! I think I'll be wearing this one often, it's a real eye catcher!

Et voilà, c'est ça!
I'm for sure really excited about my new products and I'm really happy my friends got me such a lovely present.
Thanks again to my friends for getting me this, and thanks to you guys for reading!

Book haul!

Happy Wednesday!
I have been reading a lot these last months, and of course when I'm out of books, I like to buy a couple of new ones.
Today I'm here with a new book haul.

The first one that I got is "The Selection" by Kiera Cass. It's about 35 girls who all want to win one prince's heart. It reminds me of reality tv a little bit, I hope it will be better than reality tv. This is the first book of a series. I'm quite curious!

Next I also got "Pandemonium" and "Requiem", the second and third book in the "Delirium" series by Lauren Oliver.
I have almost finished the first book, "Delirium" and I'm craving more!
I will be writing more book reviews soon!

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

Beauty haul ♥ Dresden and Prague ♥

Hello everyone!
After showing you the beautiful cities of Dresden (Germany) and Prague (Czech Republic), I'm now going to show you which make-up and fashion items I got. A lot of the products are products that are really difficult to get here in Belgium or brands that are much less expensive over there.

Beauty

First, I got a new MAC palette with four colours. I got "Amber lights", "Coppering", "Humid" and "Sketch". I didn't buy anything else because I didn't know if it was going to be cheaper or more expensive but it turned out to be a lot cheaper. I should have gotten the other colours I wanted as well!
Oh well, it's too late now. But I'm really happy with the colours I got!

Next, I got an Artdeco stippling brush and a lipstick. I always hear good things about Artdeco so I wanted to try it.

Next, I got this L'Oréal Infaillible Colour eyeshadow. I think it looks really pretty and I ave been wanting it for a really long time. I just decided to get it since it was cheaper and because I knew I was going to use this.

I also got a Nars eyeshadow duo! I was doubting which one I should get but I'm glad with the choice I made! I didn't get the popular "Orgasm" blush because I already have a similar one.

I also got a gorgeous, tiny lipstick by IsaDora.

...And I bought some stuff at H&M. A lot of the H&M make-up products that are sold in the big cities are often not sold at my local H&M.

Fashion

I bought a couple of dresses and one bikini that I don't have pictures of yet but I will for sure show them to you in following outfit of the day posts this spring and summer.

At H&M, I bought a couple of statement necklaces, one of them I've wore already and you'll see it in one of the following outfit of the day posts.

I also bought these earrings. This is the biggest size, I also have them in three smaller sizes.

Next, I also got a hair donut because I lost mine.

At New Yorker, I got a set of pearl earrings in all different colours and sizes.

These bags remind me so much of Chanel! I got them at New Yorker. They also had the bags in white and red, but I thought these colours were more subtile and would be easier to combine with my outfits.

And I also got a pair of sunglasses!

Make-up reviews and outfit of the day posts will be online soon.
Thanks for reading! Have a good day!

Mixed bookhaul ♥

As a little bookworm, I love coming into my room and seeing that my dad got me a book. I love going to the bookstore and coming home with a treasure as well.
Recently he has done a lot of effort to get me a couple of books. I decided I would do a mixed haul for you.

The first book that I bought was the third book from Veronica Roth's Divergent series. This book is called Allegiant.
It came out last week (well, in my country, it had to be translated first). I had been waiting for it for such a long time so I'm glad to have it!

The next book is a book about the first World War here in Belgium. I have always liked history and I'm especially interested in the World Wars. Since I'm also going to be studying history in college next year, it would do well to read it.

Next I got another book, this one is by Pieter Aspe. I don't know if the name will sound familiar to you but he's actually a very known, succesful writer here in Belgium. He mostly writes thrillers and his books have been turned into series on television.

Thanks for reading!

NEW SHOES!

Hello everyone!
Have you noticed that the New Balance shoes have been trending like crazy recently? I did!
I needed new shoes to work out in so I decided I would get these (after it being recommended to me like crazy).

They are a little bit on the expensive side but alright. I got black ones with really bright blue detailing. Don't they look amazing?
They fit really well! I don't normally do shoe reviews or anything but I thought this would be a rather interesting topic to talk about.

Would you ever buy expensive shoes, even if they were recommended? Or don't you follow trends? I know I normally don't but well, when one is in a hurry ...
Thanks for reading! Have a lovely Tuesday!

Haul: a few makeup products and a lot of The Body Shop

Since the sales have started, I've been wanting to go and check out what was left in the stores. Most of the time I only get basics, but every once in a while, there's actually something interesting to find. I decided to do that yesterday. After I succeeded my theoretical driver's licence exam (yay!) I took myself out for lunch and quite a bit of shopping. I thought the winter clothes were a little disappointing everywhere (the best had been picked out already but I still got a couple of nice things) but I got a lot of other stuff such as pants, skirts, summer clothes, clothes for exercising and .... makeup!

I actually got a little bit of makeup and a lot of The Body Shop goodies. Normally I don't purchase more than one or two products but there was a lot on sale so I decided to test out a couple of products. I got two body butters (love them!), three shower gels and one lip scrub. I should like the shower even more thanks to these products! I'll have a list below with all the products and prices!

Claire's false lashes: €3
H&M "Nudes" eyeshadow palette: €2.95
Bodybutters by The Body Shop: €20 (for two)
Body gels by The Body Shop: €12 (for three)

Vintage haul part 2

This girl right here is so excited for spring and summer! Over these last few weeks, I've collected a couple of skirts and dresses (all pin-up style) that are so incredibly adorable and beautiful! I have put up a post not so long ago showing you a couple of skirts that I got, today it's time to take a peek at two other dresses that arrived!
In these pictures I'm actually wearing the dresses, they're not on my mannequin. What do you like to see most: clothes on the mannequin or clothes on me? Let me know!

Both of the dresses that I got are by Hell Bunny and they're both light blue. I really love bright colours and patterns in the spring and summer, it feels and looks refreshing in my opnion! Ok so here is the first dress (I also have a skirt with thesame pattern that you have seen in outfit posts before!).

This is the skirt with thesame pattern.

The next dress that I got is a halter dress, it's blue as well and it's got parrots on it. It's by Hell Bunny as well! They also had this kind of yellow colour that I really liked but someone got the last item just before I wanted to order it so yeah.

That's my new vintage stuff! Thanks for reading again today!

Huge vintage haul!

Hi everyone!
Last week I placed two orders at Topvintage (this haul is about the first order), which is my favourite site for online shopping when it comes to finding good vintage items. First I placed an order for 3 swing skirts and after that I got two items in sale! I had been waiting for the price of the dresses to drop a little bit and I actually got the last piece of those dresses, so I'm very happy about that!

I thought it would be fun to show you what I got exactly. Normally I don't do this if I've got a new shirt or something, but I thought since this is a huge amount of clothes, I would show you! I have a mannequin in my room that really comes in handy with this type of post! I might actually do hauls more now!

This skirt is by Steady Clothing. It's so beautiful and cute! The colour is very pretty, not only for winter, I think I will be wearing this in summer a lot as well!

Last year I got a blue dress by Hell Bunny and this skirt has thesame print on it. Only, it's black. I loved the blue dress (I will post a picture below) so I thought I'd get the black skirt as well.

This is the dress I was talking about!
And last but not least I also got this tartan skirt. It's really pretty and I have a lot of purples and greens like in this skirt so mixing and matching should be fun! I already have a look in mind!

That's part 1 of my haul (my other dresses still have to arrive)! Thanks for reading!
