OOTD: Be your own sunshine

Hey guys! How have you been doing?
Even though spring is not happening for another (few) month(s), the sun has been shining and it has been very uplifting for everybody's mood!

There's nothing like having lunch or a drink with people you cherish and feeling the sun beams on your skin. Through the window that is, because outside it's still too cold, but I guess beggers can't be choosers.

This coat is one of the newest items in my closet. I have quite a few coats, but I don't have bright ones like this one. I really loved to colour and have been looking for a similar coat for a while now, so I took my change and brought it home.

Because this coat is so bright, I kept the rest of my outfit basic. Black boots, black jeans and a black sweater.
I ended up going for my Kenzo sweater, which is black, but the brand logo is stitched on in thesame shade of yellow as the coat.

OOTD: Belfort

Goodmorning! How have you been? How did you spend your Valentine's Day?
I hope you had a really good one!
We don't really make a big holiday of it, we try to spend time and effort on each other every week when we have the day off.

Days off are also my favourite days for outfit pictures! This one is from a little while back. I got this dress online.
I got this because the promo picture was a lady with this dress and a red handbag. The details of the flowers in this dress and the handbag matched so beautifully, I had to have it! Women's logic, right?

We went to the belfree in the centre of Bruges to take this picture. I live very close to the belfree, which is so efficient for everyday life, but the belfree never loses it's beauty to me. I often find myself looking at it. Some people say that if you live in a historic city with many tourists, you don't think it's special anymore because you've gotten so used to it. I haven't, just yet!
I can't wait to explore more parts of the city for outfit pictures!

My handbag and boots are by H&M. My tights are from Calzedonia and my coat is by New Look!

Have a good one.

OOTD: The skirt of a lifetime

Happy Monday!
I'm back and for the first time in a really long time, I have an outfit post for you! Although the temperatures are getting lower and lower, I'm trying not to wear a simple tee and jeans everyday.
Every time winter rolls around, I'm happy to have found an excuse not to dress up too much "because it's cold", but I wanted to change that up a little bit.

Today, I got what is probably the skirt of a lifetime. This one is nice high waist, but it's not too short. It's a knee length skirt, which is nice in winter, without being too boring.
I decided to wear a green blouse with some pearl detailing on the shoulder. To go along with it, I brought my green purse with cute bow detailing. My tights and boots are plain black.

In fact, I loved the skirt so much that I got two ones in a different colour. You'll be seeing more of my outfits online soon!

- Blouse: Stradivarius
- Skirt: Pimkie
- Purse: Moggy's
- Boots: H&M

OOTD: November, November

Goodmorning! Happy November!
It's been a while since I've done an outfit post, so... here's one!

I got this dress yesterday. It's a dusty pink wool dress with choker detail. There are even pearls attached to the choker. This one's from Moggy's. I think it's so pretty!
As it's getting colder, I decided to go for tights and my knee high boots.

This outfit looks great with my long, black, open coat and my pink and tan scarf.

I'm liking this outfit a whole lot! What do you think?

Thanks so much for reading!

Malaga outfits ♥

While Belgium is getting cold and rainy, Malaga is a tropical, magical place with lots of sunshine and very little clouds.
While we were there, we had the chance to take a couple of pictures. We only had handluggage for out flight so the pictures are taken for a phone - nevertheless, I wanted to share them.

OOTD: Pinky promise!

Hi! I'm a bit late with my post today, my apologies!
It's been a while since I've done an outfit post, I was starting to miss it already. But, here I am, with my first outfit post of August!
Have a look!

On the way to the location where we wanted to shoot the pictures, we saw some funny and/beautiful things. This was hanging outside a café, which I thought was pretty funny.

Today's outfit was pretty simple. I simply paired my black jumpsuit with a cropped checkered shirt, which I tied together to create a waistline.
I combined them with my new white shoes, which have a glittery detail - so cute!

Since this outfit was pretty simple, I decided to spice things up with accessories: my clutch being the most important detail in this outfit. It's a very hot pink bag in the shape of a bow. I got it ages ago but never wore it, until now!

Clutch: New Look
Jumpsuit: New Look
Checkered shirt: H&M
Shoes: local store
Pearl bracelet: Claire's

OOTD: Somewhere on a boat

Hello everyone! I'm back with an outfit of the day!
It's been quite a while since I've done one, but this one I liked in particular. I'm wearing a copper/burgundy maxi dress with an open back (which is so beautiful)! Of course, I was on a boat and it was quite windy so I wrapped my favourite scarf around me and secured it with a burgundy belt that had gold detailing on it as well! Not my usual style, but I actually liked it!

Simple, but sometimes that's all you need. Simplicity is key.

I got my scarf as a gift and I can't remember where I got the dress... Sorry about that!
Have a good day!

OOTD: The Venice of the North

People often say that Bruges is the Venice of the North. I have no idea if it's true or not, I've never seen Venice with my own eyes.
But there is one thing I do know: I think Bruges is pretty wonderful. It's quite small if you think about it, different from Ghent (which is another important city here in Belgium), but I think there's a lot of atmosphere, culture and character here.

When I first moved here, two years ago, I had this plan to explore Bruges during the weekends... But things kept coming up and I decided that school and work were more important.
However, I decided to make up for lost time and I've been making a lot of walks, discovering more and more beautiful places, with my sister by my side.

Woops! Resting bitch face!

We had such a nice day together, just spending some time, doing some shopping and sipping a couple cocktails in the city center. As always, I was armed with my camera and we snapped a couple of pictures of my outfit.

It wasn't that hot out so I'm wearing beige/light brown trousers and I paired it with this amazing black top with golden glitters in it. It's a bit odd, sometimes you can spot the gold glitter and in other lighting it just disappears.

What I love about this outfit is that the colour of my trousers, shoes and purse match perfectly.

For accessories, I wore these two H&M necklaces, that I showed you in my haul earlier.

That's my outfit of the day! I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
Thanks for reading, I hope you have a nice day!

OOTD: Bright city lights

The beginning of the summer is always extra exciting here in Belgium, because the sales also start in the beginning of the summer.
I haven't had much time to go shopping lately but there was one dress that I saw earlier and I couldn't get it out of my mind.

Do you know the feeling of not getting something and spending the next week thinking about it? That's what happened with this dress. After a week I decided I just had to have it. It's the dress that I'm wearing in these pictures.

I got this maxi dress at H&M and it just looks like the perfect dress for a walk on the beach or a picnick in the park. Or you could wear it if you're going on a dinner date with a friend or a lover, just like I did.

The blazer that I'm wearing is also by H&M. I got it last season. It's a bit oversized and it's a very sleek, simple blazer: no zippers, no buttons, nothing. I thought the colours of the dress already drew enough attention, no need for more detail on the blazer.

While we were looking for a nice place to shoot the pictures, I actually re-discovered a part of town that I love. This place is in the center of Bruges and it's beautiful by day, but absolutely breathtaking by night. It's not far away from where I live, which is even better, because I love late night strolls.

I didn't realize how much I take Bruges for granted. I walk passed these buildings every day and sometimes I forget how beautiful they are and how much history there is here.
I remember trying out filters on one of these pictures on Instagram and thinking that the backgrounds in these pictures look like a movie decor.

I will for sure try to appreciate these places more. What can I say, it's the little things in life that can blow your mind, if only you allow them to.

As always, I hope to see you in my next blogpost.
Thanks for reading!

OOTD: Roman goddess

Channeling your inner goddess is very necessary every once in a while. The normal, daily and sometimes boring routines can make you lack inspiration.  I can reinvent myself through fashion and make-up. I love the fact that a new eye look, some lipstick, a different hair do or a new pair of shoes can make you feel like a totally different person.

Just before leaving to go to Rome - which was a much needed break from my own routines - , I picked up a long, white maxi dress. Simple, yet elegant - and I remember feeling like a true goddess when I put it on for the first time.

I wore this dress to Vatican City, where it is required to cover up - but walking around in this dress - I didn't mind covering up at all.
My dress is from Pimkie. There's some gold detailing around the neck. That's why I decided to put on gold sandals and my gold watch.

I hope you've enjoyed watching these pictures. Below, I have a couple more. This time, I'm behind the camera instead of in front of it.

See you soon!

OOTD: Sheer maxi skirt

Goodmorning everyone! How are you doing?
I'm on the verge of finishing my exams, so I couldn't be doing any better! My last two exams will take place tomorrow and my knowledge of history will be tested, so I'm very nervous! Especially because it's an period of time that I didn't know much about before!

The exams are a very stressful time for me, I often have no time to spare so anything is good enough, as long as it's comfortable.

Most of my exams have been oral, so just going to school with comfy jeans and a basic T-shirt hasn't been an option for me. I always try a little harder when I'm going to be talking to the professor face to face - I think being well dressed at an oral exam proves that you are well prepared and that you wànt to put effort in a good 'reputation'/attitude.

Even though I haven't had much time to make new pairings or think about my looks extensively, I've found an outfit that looks like I've put a lot more effort into it and is still very comfortable.
Take a peek?

This outfit has got to be my favourite outfit of the moment. The shirt with the sequin lips has been a favourite for over a year now, but the maxi skirt is brand new.
It's safe to say it's already a favourite!

Pairing the shirt and the skirt was quite easy. Since the skirt is blue, I wanted to go for something a little more "neutral" for the upper part of my body. A black or white T-shirt was a little too boring so I decided to go for grey and sparkly! It draws attention, but not too much. It's a nice detail, but it doesn't take away from the pop of colour that my skirt provides.

In order to create a waistline, I tucked the shirt in my skirt.

For accessories I wore a bracelet that matched the blue of my skirt perfectly. It's a great eyecatcher. It's only one bracelet, but looks like a whole lot of arm candy. I also wore rhinestone earrings that matched the sequin lips on my shirt.
I got the bracelet and handbag from a market in Barcelona and the earrings were a gift.
My shirt and skirt are by H&M, my shoes are by New Look.

If you're still in school, I'd like to wish you good luck!
Thanks for reading! Have a nice day!
