MAC 15 X Warm Neutral palette review

Hey guys! A while back I told you that when I travel and I see a Sephora, I like to take some make-up items home that normally I don't get to buy.
When I got back from Malaga, I had so many items to review and then I went to Portugal about a month after and got even more stuff.
Needless to say, some of the items haven't been reviewed yet and I thought today would be a nice day to catch up on that.

The palette that I'm reviewing today is the MAC 15X Warm Neutral palette. This palette holds 15 eyeshadows that MAC has picked out for this certain palette. The pans are the size of the singles that you can get in the store.

I think this palette looks so good. There are so many different shades and textures. Some matt, some shimmery. I think this is a perfect everyday palette, good for both neutral and more eyecatching looks.

Here you can see the swatches. This first picture contains the swatches of the first row. The lighter colours are well pigmented. A bit powdery but that's it. The black-ish colour isn't pigmented very well.

The second row is well pigmented as well. Especially the gold (called "Amber lights", which I own in a single eyeshadow as well) is very pigmented, but if you pay attention to the highlight colours near my hand, you'll see that those are quite nice as well.
They just don't show up on my skin that much because the colours of the eyeshadows and my skin are nearly thesame.

And the third row is probably my favourite. There are a few yellows and a very beautiful green eyeshadow.

I decided to work mostly with the colours from the third row. I applied a brown eyeshadow in my crease and blended out and decided to darken it up a little bit more with the black eyeshadow. It might not be very pigmented in the swatch, but it did work quite well on the eyes. I had no problems applying or blending it whatsoever.
I used the yellow "Lemon Tarte" in my inner corner, the gold in the middle and the green on the outer corner.

And this is what the end result looks like. I'm very satisfied with this palette.

I hope you have a really good day!
Let me know what you think and I'll see you soon!

Too Faced Natural Eye Palette

Goodmorning everyone. It's been a while since I came back from Madrid and aside from visiting musea and exploring the neighbourhood, I also did some shopping.
For as far as know, there are no Sephora's in Belgium and even though there was one in the Netherlands that I could have gone to, it closed pretty soon. The only option was ordering online, but I prefer buying my make-up in a store.

The first thing I got when I saw they had a Sephora here was the Too Faced Natural Eye palette. This one goes way back. I remember Blair Fowler (aka JuicyStar07) make a video using this palette when she was only 19. The hype is long over, but the palette was still on my "most wanted" list.

The packaging has changed a little bit, but the concept is still thesame. Speaking of packaging, let's take a look!

The packaging excites me so much! It's so pretty and girl, with soft pastel colours and lace print detailling.
When you open up the palette, you get to lay your eyes upon nine stunning, neutral colours. A couple shimmery ones, a couple matt ones.

This palette is so beautiful that in the beginning I was almost a little bit hesitant to use it. I did have to though, how else am I going to get swatches for this blog? Haha!
Here you go, some swatches:

Even though the colours could have been a bit more pigmented, they are quite nice in use. The colours are absolutely stunning and looks can very a lot - depending on which colours you use. The balance between warm/cool/light/dark is absolutely amazing! Love it!

I paid €36 for this palette.

MAC "Beauty marked" & "Trax" + make-up look!

Hello everyone! I've been enjoying the summer break -  a break from studying and working for school, and actually getting to experiment with other things, such as my blog, traveling, make-up, etc... .
MAC has been and will always be one of my favouite make-up brands. I'm especially crazy about their lipsticks and eyeshadows. I have a nice collection of eyeshadows already, but there's always room for more.
I always use tan or brown shades from budget brands, because blending colours can be found anywhere and really don't have to be that expensive. It's the special, eye popping shades that I like to get from MAC.

"Trax"

"Beautymarked"
I recently got two new shades, both purple shades, called "Trax" and "Beauty marked". I've had my eye on them for over a year now and decided to just do it.

I had a bit of a hard time taking pictures of these eyeshadows because they look different from every single angle.

"Trax", the lighter purple is just a really pretty colour, whereas "Beautymarked" is a dark eyeshadow with a twist; there are pinik and purple glitters in it. It's so beautiful!

I created a smokey eye with these two eyeshadows and "Espresso", which I used as my blending/crease colour. I applied "Trax" all over my eyelid and the darkest colour "Beautymarked" on the upper and lower lashline.
I didn't use liquid eyeliner for once, instead, I applied kohl eyeliner on my waterline.

What do you think?

Balm Voyage!

I'm a huge  fan of The Balm. I think it's an amazing make-up brand with fun products and amazing, creative packaging.
This week I treated myself to a bigger palette in their collection called "Balm Voyage", which is obviously the funnier version of "Bon Voyage" ("have a good trip" in French). This palette contains 16 different eyeshadow colours.

Look at the packaging! As you know, I'm a huge pin-up fan and this palette just blows my mind! So, so pretty!

The eyeshadows are named after seats in a plane. (A4-D4,...). Aside from the 16 eyeshadows, there are also three lip colours.
I think it's very cute that everything in the palette is themed! So gorgeous!

Let's take a look at the swatches!

The first four, and darkest colours in the palette are absolutely gorgeous! They are insanely pigmented!

The next four eyeshadows are well pigmented as well, two of them are a bit chalky, so I think I will have some fall out when I use this palette.

I was very surprised to see how pigmented the lightest eyeshadow colours are! Most of the time, lighter colours in palettes are less pigmented, but as you can see these light colours are well pigmented. Better than I expected.

I'm very excited about this palette! I will for sure use it often! I like the pigmentation and texture of these eyeshadows, but also how different all the colours in this palette are!
I will have a lot more looks online soon! Thanks for reading!

Nude Dude make-up palette!

About a year ago, I got a palette called "Nude 'Tude" by The Balm.
It was a palette that consisted of six pin-up girls. Each of the pin-up girls 'showcased' two eyeshadow colours.
Now, a whole lot later, I'm still very fond of this palette. I've hit pan on a few eyeshadows, but I'm still as crazy about it as I was when I first got it.

Recently, while I was doing some shopping, I saw that The Balm had a second palette. This time it's a palette with men. It's called the "Nude Dude" palette. Of course I took it home because - let's be honest - who doesn't like fine men?

Can we talk about the packaging? I'm crazy about it! I don't think I need to explain why, the packaging itself does all the talking!
I noticed that both the packaging and the eyeshadows contain a lot of pink. I like!

Such pretty colours! I am in love! The colours in this palette are a lot cooler than the colours in the previous palette. I don't mind though! The colours range from very light to rather dark. There's no black in this palette though.

I swatched all the colours and wow! All of them are well pigmented. Just like the other palette, the quality is very good! I am a huge fan of this palette already! I will upload more make-up looks for sure!

MAC "Dark Side" lipstick review ♥

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope you have a nice day ahead of you! It had been a long time since I treated myself, after the exams I went right to my internship and I also started working in the service industry again. Soon I will be teaching and school is back on track, so I don't think I will have a relaxed vacation any time soon.
Instead of having a break, I let myself pick out something that I've had my eye on for quite a while now (because sometimes you have to treat yourself).

I got a new lipstick by MAC! This one is called "Dark Side". I actually wanted "Diva" but they didn't have it in stock anymore.
This lipstick is the exact same colour, exept it's not matt and "Diva" is.

This is what the lipstick looks like, it's a gorgeous burgundy colour. Especially for this time of year, when the weather is still quite cold and the days are short, this lipstick is perfect.
I've said it before, I like wearing darker make-up in winter, but the eyes don't always have to be the focus!

If you are into make-up, you might have heard about MAC already - I can't say anything bad about the brand or this lipstick. It's creamy, the pigmentation is really good and it lasts long. I'm also madly in love with the colour, it's so beautiful!
I paid €19 for this lipstick, which is totally worth it! This lipstick is sold in every MAC store.

Thanks for reading!
Have a lovely Saturday!

MAC "Melon" pigment review

Hello everyone!
Earlier this week I went to do some early Christmas shopping because I won't have time in December. I will be studying during the holidays this year (college, you know...).
After getting a couple of things that I liked, I couldn't help it, I went to the MAC store... and let's just say I got myself an early present.

I got a new mini pigment by MAC. I got my first pigment by MAC this summer and I like it a lot, but it's a really bright pigment so I wanted something a little more neutral...

I walked out with the colour "Melon", which is a beautiful, vibrant gold pigment.
The make-up artist that helped me pick out make-up this summer was actually crazy about this pigment and she really recommended it. I can see why now!

Magic in a jar...

This is what the pigment looks like. As always, my pictures were taken in front of a big window, so the colours look lighter than they actually are.
This is such a beautiful shade! I can't wait to create a new make-up look with this pigment!

EOTD: Satin Taupe

Hi you guys!
How are you doing?

I heard there's a MAC cosmetics store coming to Bruges (where I live), which I am so excited about!
That's why in today's post, I've incorportated a MAC eyeshadow.

Normally I always, ALWAYS use some kind of gold or orange in my make-up looks because I like the way it looks (and because it enhances blue eyes), but today I have a very "cold" make-up look.
To be quite honest, I'm surprised by how much I like this look!

So the first thing I did was prime my eyes with my Essence I ♥ Stage eyeshadow base.
Next I used my MAC "Espresso" eyeshadow and I dusted it in my crease very lightly. Next, I applied a black eyeshadow in my outer corner and blended it out enough to keep this look neutral.

A good tip to help blending is to take the blending brush with "Espresso" on it and to go over the black with that brown colour.
That way your blending will look flawless!

On my lid, I applied "Satin Taupe" by MAC.
This colour is quite neutral and I haven't worn it a lot, but I really started to love it!

I applied some liquid eyeliner, kohl eyeliner and mascara. All of those products are by Essence.

What do you think of this look?
