Revolution blush palette review

Goodmorning everyone! I'm back with a product that I'm crazy excited about!
Today I'm going to tell you about my ultra blush palette by Revolution. I am a huge blush fan (always have been) so when I found this palette, I could barely keep it together!

Although the packaging looks exactly thesame as all the other palettes, what's inside is absolutely stunning. This blush palette holds eight different colours. Some of them are sparkly, some of them are matt. The colours vary from peach to pink to tan, which is amazing because there's something in this palette for everyone.

Here's a closer look!

The colours are quite pigmented. I tried the second one starting from the left on the top row a couple of days ago and you have to be so so careful with these blushes because of the pigment in it. I tried the more nude shades on the left side of the palette as well and those too are very pigmented.
The blushes on the right are very shimmery and metallic so I use those as highlighters. Below you can find a picture of what I look like after a long day. The blush is still there, it has faded a little but I think it looks quite natural. Nice!

Thanks once again for reading! Have a good day!

Catrice blush trio

If people would ask me which products I'd love to take to a deserted island, blush would be one of the things I'd bring rightaway. I am a very pale girl and I don't blush easily, so I need some cosmetics to help me...

I recently got this Catrice blush trio. It holds three different kinds of colours and I couldn't be more excited!

The left blush is a shimmery purple-ish kind of colour. In the middle, you can find a hot pink, matte bronzer and on the right you've got a peachy, shimmery blush.

In the next picture, I mixed the middle colour and the right colour together.

I think this is a great budget product and I use it on a daily basis. The packaging is not too big, it's not too expensive, the product isn't chalky and there's a good colour payoff.
I love the idea of having more than one option to choose from as well! Especially if you're trying to build a stash or if you want to try out new things, I'd recommend this for you!

Thanks for reading!

The Balm blush review

A little while ago I purchased a Nude 'Tude palette, and I am loving it!
While unpacking, I noticed there was something else in the little bag that the lady at the shop put my palette in. A receipt and... THIS!

This is the "Instain" blush from The Balm. I saw it in the store as well but I didn't get it so this was a nice little surprise! I love the name of the blush. "Instain". I wonder who comes up with these names!

I can't believe how beautiful the packaging is. The front totally reminds me of a magazine and the lady on the 'cover' is so beautiful! Seeing this immediately put a smile on my face!

This is the inside. Like I said, I saw it in the store as well but I thought they were eyeshadows. Now, it's clear that they're not. I wondered how I would get my blush brush in this little pan, but I tested it already and it works out just fine.

Here's a swatch of the blush! It's quite pigmented, especially for a blush! I'm a huge fan of bright blushes so they couldn't have given me anything better!
You do have to be careful not to put on too much though, just a little whipe is enough to brighten up both of your cheeks. Lovely!

Below you can see a picture of what my cheek looks like without and with blush.

Without any makeup
With "Instain" blush on!

I am loving this blush a lot! Great pigmentation, lovely colour, you don't need a lot of product at all. It's a "yes" from me!

E.L.F. "Candid Coral" blush review

Hello! I think I have reviewed every product that I got from E.L.F., exept this blush. Ironic really, because it was one of the things that I tested first! I can already tell you right now that this has become my favourite, everyday blush.

First things first: packaging! I think the packaging of this product is very cute. It's quite similar to the eyebrow kit that I have from E.L.F., but I don't have any problems with that. Mat black with a little "window" through which you can see the colour of the blush. Lovely!

The blush is coral with gold shimmers. The shimmers don't really show that much though. Anyways, I like the colour. I used to always pick really bright pink or orange blushes so I would always walk around with a pale head, really blushy cheeks, eyeliner and red lips. Not anymore! This blush is more neutral and probably won't make me look like I was smacked in the face.

Swatch! The pigmentation of this blush is alright. As you can see, it's a subtile colour. I like that this is buildable, you can always apply more, you don't have to be super super careful because you might end up looking like a clown (which is a problem that I did have with my previous blush, I always had too much on).

That's it! So far I'm happy with all my E.L.F. products! I can't wait to try more!

Essence "It's popul-art" blush review!

Hi!
Earlier in my Essence beauty haul (way back in March, do you remember?) I told you about a new blush I got called "It's popul-art". It's from the Vintage District collection and it's stunning!
I have waited as long as I could to test this blush because I know the gold glitter in this blush is an overspray and it'll disappear when I touch it.

Eye candy!

So this is what the blush looks like. Gorgeous. I have never had a blush as beautiful as this. And it was really cheap which is good too!

Time to see what it looks like on my face....

This is what my face looks like without any makeup on. No foundation, no BB cream, no concealer, no moisturizer, absolutely nothing. You can see how pale I am.

And this is how my face looks after applying the blush! I think it's really beautiful actually. I look less pale and less dead. The gold overspray also gives me a glow, which I love. The blush is orange toned and for some reason orange toned looks better than pink on me.

I just wish it wasn't an overspray so that I could always have this glow. Aside from that, I'm very happy I got the blush, I think it'll still be really pretty, even if the gold is gone.
It's cute and I'll be wearing it a lot this spring. Great job Essence!

The ten products makeup challenge!

Hi everyone! In my post about "2013 goals" I told you I wanted to stop buying a lot of makeup and just use what I had.
That's why I'm going to do the 10 products makeup challenge. The 10 products makeup challenge is quite a known challenge, because a lot of beauty addicted people try it.
Basically you just try to empty 10 products before you buy anything else.

The first product is the L'oréal Youth Code Luminizer. I got it in one of my Deauty boxes and I use this on a daily basis.

Now call me crazy but I'm going to count each of the eyeshadows as one. So I have four items here. The reason why I choose to do this is because I only have a few single eyeshadows, but they're all quite bright or not school or work appropriate. So that's why I decided to go for a neutral palette.

This blush by Catrice, called "Apricot Smoothie" is one that I got from my best friend. Again, this is a product that I use on a daily basis and I love it very much, so it just had to be in the challenge.

Another product that I've been using for quite a while, and I still use it on a daily basis: the L'oréal True Match Foundation. I have the colour "Rose Beige".

Again, another daily used product, my L'oréal Black Smoke Volume mascara. I got this in a Deauty box as well.

The next thing that I'm going to empty before getting anything else is my gel eyeliner! I use the Essence "Midnight in Paris" gel eyeliner.
And another Deauty box product.... This is Kiehl's lipbalm. Love it! I loved it too much to use it at first, but why not use it when you need it? I mean, I could always get another one!
I'm very curious if I'll be able to hold on and actually finish this challenge. I think I'll be very proud if I do and I might go shopping after the last drop of my last product!
Wish me luck!

November Favourites!

Hello everyone! We've been December for a while so I wanted to do a post on my favourites of November. In November I tried out a lot of things, I emptied a lot of products and I loved a lot of products! I'm going to show them now.

The first thing is my Mega volume black smoke mascara by L'oréal. This came in my October Deauty box and made me so happy! I was running out of other mascara and I actually wanted to try one by L'oréal so it was the perfect timing! Lovely product! I really enjoy using it!
This mascara is extreme black and seperates my lashes perfectly. It also makes my lashes very long!

Another product that came in my October Deauty box! The Kiehl's lipbalm. I think that I'm going to empty it soon if I keep on using it as much as I do now. I really can't help it, it's an amazing product! So moisturizing, not sticky, just perfect!

Two palettes by Essence that I've been wearing and loving! The first one (above) is a palette with four neutral colours called "To die for" and the second palette (below) is from the Sun Club collection. It's in "02 long beach". Lovely fall colours! The pigmentation is great! They were both $3.91.
Super affordable!

This blush below, called "Apricot smoothie" was a gift from my friend, a beauty lover like me. I love how there's a red, shimmery part and a more orange toned part. I love blush because I'm pale myself, especially in winter, so this product is really one of my favourite products of these last couple of months. Also, I have a thing for cute names, and this one is so lovely! I like to use a little bit because the colours are quite bright, but if you wanted to, you could build up the intensity.

Well, well, well. You shouldn't be too surprised to see the YSL volupté sheer candy glossy balm in this post. Ever since getting it, back in September, I've been using and loving this. Expensive, but so worth the money. I love the packaging by the way! (Click here to read more about this product).

Another lipproduct! This jar filled with strawberry scented nourishing lipbalm is by Yves Rocher. I let my sister convince me to bring this home. Holy moly, that is one of the most expensive lipbalms I've ever got (basically because I normally just get the cheap drugstore ones- they work just fine). But okay, it's worth the price. Oh, and also, don't count on finishing this jar in a month, it'll take a lot longer, trust me!

Recently I had an acne break out so I was so so happy I had this allround concealer palette by Catrice to help me hide the blemishes!
This one comes with a green to conceal rednesses, a pink to conceal dark circles under your eyes and three shades of brown. You could mix the colours to get the shade of your skintone. This palette is a good buy because it costs a lot less than buying five different single concealers. Also, like all the other Catrice products, you can count on quality.

And last but not least: "Basic instinct" eyeshadow by New York Color (NYC). I use this as a highlighter and god, it is such a lovely colour!

October Favies! ♥

Hello everyone, happy Tuesday!
I know I'm a little late with this post but today I wanted to write about the products I loved and used a lot in October.

This first product is a mascara. I'm very picky when it comes to mascara's because I hate spending money on one when you can't even notice it. This is the L'oréal Mega Smoky Black (Volume 24h) mascara. It came in my October Deauty box. I was pretty excited to try it out because a lot of my favourite mascaras are often by L'oréal or Maybelline. So I was kind of expecting this to be a good product and it didn't let me down for sure. I have days that I only wear mascara and I get compliments on how long my lashes look.

Another product from the October Deauty box! I had never tried this lipbalm by Kiehl's before, in fact, I had never even used a lipbalm in a tube. But I decided to try it out because I was pretty curious, and also since it's getting cold, I could use some lipbalm every once in a while. Let's just say that I don't want to apply it because I'm afraid it's going to get empty. This lipbalm is very smooth and moisturizing. Also, I personally like how it looks on my lips, it's like I'm wearing a clear lipgloss.

This YSL Volupté Sheer Candy Gloss Balm was my first high end beauty product I ever purchased. I got it somewhere in September, I believe (or maybe it was at the end of August). First of all, I love how the lipstick looks. I already feel pretty when I look at it! Also, this glossy balm is very moisturizing, it's great to wear on a daily basis and you could build up the intensity of the colour (so if you don't like really bright lipstick or lipglosses, you could just put on one or two layers). Lovely!

Aaah, this blush by Catrice! I can't say anything negative about it! I love it so, so much! I did a post on it yesterday, so click here if you want to read it! (It's a lot more detailed)

This strawberry scented lipbalm by Yves Rocher is absolutely amazing! I love the smell, I love the colour, I love the product! Let me warn you, I didn't think I'd ever spend a lot of money on a lipbalm and after getting this I was regretting it already, but when I started using this I really fell in love with it after all.
(Oh and I don't mean it was like $50, I just mean that compared to my other lipbalms, this was probably the most expensive.) I also have a new raspberry scented lipbalm, again by Yves Rocher. I haven't opened that one. It looks a lot more pink than this one, almost like a Barbie pink!

In this picture, you see two lipsticks by Catrice. Actually the one on the left is my favourite one for the moment. I've been using it for a really long time now, it's a hot pink/ red lipstick that I absolutely love! It's called "Pink me up". Maybe not for everyone, because I'm pretty much the only one wearing hot pink and red lipstick to school, but oh well.
It would also look great if you were putting it on before going out!

My favourite fall palette! The Essence sun club palette called "02 Long Beach". This is the palette with more neutral colours, there's also another one that holds a lot of bright and shimmery colours. I recently wrote a post on this palette.

Another Essence palette! I think it's pretty obvious that I like Essence for their eyeshadows! This quattro was probably one of the most used palettes in October. I might have used it more than the Sun Club palette!
I love this palette because it holds four neutral colours that look good on every skintone, so no matter if you are pale or a little darker, these colours will probably look great on you! The pigmentation is good, it's easy to apply and as always, it is cheap. This palette is called "To Die For". It's one of my favourite neutral makeup palettes ever.

Let me know what you liked last month!
