The glow must go on - bronzing and highlighting palette review!

If you follow beauty trends or if you're on Instagram, there is a big chance you've seen "contouring/higlighting videos" of some sort.
The trend has been in beautyland for quite some time and I'm not ready to give up on it yet.

Essence recently came out with a whole new limited edition collection, entirely based on "blogger's beauty secrets". Every single product in this collection was created by a blogger. One of them was a Dutch blogger called Serena, she runs Beautylab.nl.
She created the item that I liked the most: a bronzing and highlighting set called "The glow must go on".

First things first: I will forever love you if you use a song title and slightly change it to match your product. Especially if it's a song by Queen. I think my mom would freak out if I showed her this palette - she's a huge Queen fan and I actually 'discovered' this song through her.
Funny or witty names aren't a must, but they just make me love some products a little more.

The packaging of this product is very cute, I love the turquoise. Completely designed around Serena, which I think is pretty cool! I'd love to do that in the future (dreaming is allowed, right?).

This palette holds three shimmery bronzing colours, two eyeshadows and one highlighter. It also holds a tiny brush.
Below, you can see the swatches. Not bad at all if you ask me.

On the left you see the three bronzing colours, the brown and orange colours are eyeshadow and at the end of my wrist, you can see the yellow/gold shimmery highlighter.

Below you can see what the bronzer and shimmer looks like on my face. At first I had the impression that the bronzer was a bit too dark for me, but as it turns out, it looks just fine. I love the glow this higlighter gives me!
I'd love it if they'd release the highlighter seperately!

What do you think?

November Favourites!

Hello everyone! We've been December for a while so I wanted to do a post on my favourites of November. In November I tried out a lot of things, I emptied a lot of products and I loved a lot of products! I'm going to show them now.

The first thing is my Mega volume black smoke mascara by L'oréal. This came in my October Deauty box and made me so happy! I was running out of other mascara and I actually wanted to try one by L'oréal so it was the perfect timing! Lovely product! I really enjoy using it!
This mascara is extreme black and seperates my lashes perfectly. It also makes my lashes very long!

Another product that came in my October Deauty box! The Kiehl's lipbalm. I think that I'm going to empty it soon if I keep on using it as much as I do now. I really can't help it, it's an amazing product! So moisturizing, not sticky, just perfect!

Two palettes by Essence that I've been wearing and loving! The first one (above) is a palette with four neutral colours called "To die for" and the second palette (below) is from the Sun Club collection. It's in "02 long beach". Lovely fall colours! The pigmentation is great! They were both $3.91.
Super affordable!

This blush below, called "Apricot smoothie" was a gift from my friend, a beauty lover like me. I love how there's a red, shimmery part and a more orange toned part. I love blush because I'm pale myself, especially in winter, so this product is really one of my favourite products of these last couple of months. Also, I have a thing for cute names, and this one is so lovely! I like to use a little bit because the colours are quite bright, but if you wanted to, you could build up the intensity.

Well, well, well. You shouldn't be too surprised to see the YSL volupté sheer candy glossy balm in this post. Ever since getting it, back in September, I've been using and loving this. Expensive, but so worth the money. I love the packaging by the way! (Click here to read more about this product).

Another lipproduct! This jar filled with strawberry scented nourishing lipbalm is by Yves Rocher. I let my sister convince me to bring this home. Holy moly, that is one of the most expensive lipbalms I've ever got (basically because I normally just get the cheap drugstore ones- they work just fine). But okay, it's worth the price. Oh, and also, don't count on finishing this jar in a month, it'll take a lot longer, trust me!

Recently I had an acne break out so I was so so happy I had this allround concealer palette by Catrice to help me hide the blemishes!
This one comes with a green to conceal rednesses, a pink to conceal dark circles under your eyes and three shades of brown. You could mix the colours to get the shade of your skintone. This palette is a good buy because it costs a lot less than buying five different single concealers. Also, like all the other Catrice products, you can count on quality.

And last but not least: "Basic instinct" eyeshadow by New York Color (NYC). I use this as a highlighter and god, it is such a lovely colour!
