E.L.F. "Candid Coral" blush review

Hello! I think I have reviewed every product that I got from E.L.F., exept this blush. Ironic really, because it was one of the things that I tested first! I can already tell you right now that this has become my favourite, everyday blush.

First things first: packaging! I think the packaging of this product is very cute. It's quite similar to the eyebrow kit that I have from E.L.F., but I don't have any problems with that. Mat black with a little "window" through which you can see the colour of the blush. Lovely!

The blush is coral with gold shimmers. The shimmers don't really show that much though. Anyways, I like the colour. I used to always pick really bright pink or orange blushes so I would always walk around with a pale head, really blushy cheeks, eyeliner and red lips. Not anymore! This blush is more neutral and probably won't make me look like I was smacked in the face.

Swatch! The pigmentation of this blush is alright. As you can see, it's a subtile colour. I like that this is buildable, you can always apply more, you don't have to be super super careful because you might end up looking like a clown (which is a problem that I did have with my previous blush, I always had too much on).

That's it! So far I'm happy with all my E.L.F. products! I can't wait to try more!

E.L.F. 144 Piece Bright eyeshadow palette review

Hi dolls!
How are you doing? I'm enjoying a few free days: I'm writing and reading a lot, messing around with makeup, taking tons of pictures and cuddling with the cats. Sometimes, that's just all you need in life. I hope you are still reading with a lot of pleasure!

If you've been reading this blog for the last month, you've seen me talk about the E.L.F. 144 piece bright eyeshadow palette a lot! I made quite a few different looks with them, but I have never really properly reviewed this palette. That's what on the menu today, but first of all I will post the links of all the looks that I have made with this palette. Go check them out if you are interested!

The E.L.F. palette comes in a pretty simple packaging. I don't think it needs a lot, the colours of the eyeshadows draw a lot of attention already! There are so many colours, I don't think I can ever not have a certain colour. There are so many shades of every colour, I don't know what to use first!

A few minutes after it was delivered, I was matching the colours already. Later that day I experimented with looks. The quality of these eyeshadows is quite nice. The pigmentation is amazing! With some colours I do get a bit of fall out but that's the least of my problems! I've been using this palette most of all this month and I can't stop loving it. Very budget, but such great colours and quality. I'm stunned.

And here are some other E.L.F. products that I've reviewed, just in case you're getting curious!

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

E.L.F. eyebrow kit review

Hello you guys! A few weeks ago I placed a huge order at E.L.F. cosmetics! I got a lipstick, a blush, two huge palettes and this eyebrow kit in "Ash". I started using it the day I got it and I'm still very happy with it.

The eyebrow kit holds has a simple, classy, black packaging. The kit holds one gel (on the left) and one eyeshadow (on the right). It also comes with a brush. The left side of the brush is very tiny and the other side is like a regular brush.

The first thing I do is define the lowest line of my eyebrows with the gel. That way they look sharper. I also trace that line with concealer to make it look cleaner. After that, I do thesame thing with the arch of my brows - those are the spots that need most touching up so that's where I use the gel as well.
Then I take the fluffy side of the brush that comes with this palette, and I use it to apply the powder to my eyebrows. As you can see this is a light colour so it won't make look like you've put a dark eyeshadow on, but it will make you eyebrows look more "put together". If you have a few spots with less hair, like in the beginning, you can fill that in easily as well!

For me, this whole "gel - powder" concept is new but I'm loving it! I'm very happy with this kit and I've even hit pan on the gelly side already! I will be repurchasing when it's empty!

In this picture is used the eybrow kit to shape and define!

E.L.F. lipstick review

A lipstick as red as a cherry. What pin-up girl lover wouldn't like that?! Years and years, since the start of my pin-up, vintage ànd makeup obsession, I have been looking for "the perfect red". A few weeks ago I saw this baby online and I decided to order it! What am I talking about? I'm talking about "Cheerful Cherry", a lipstick by E.L.F. cosmetics!

First things first: the packaging! I'm probably not the only one who tends to "like the product more" when the packaging is cute. I don't know, cute packaging is just a way to trick me into buying the product! Ah, marketing tricks! I know what you are, I just can't resist you!

This lipstick comes in a matt black tube, which I love. I don't know why, but I have this thing with matt packaging. I like it with lipsticks and I love it when my foundation has matt glass. I just think it looks fancy. Aside from the brand name "eyes lips face" there are no other details, no patterns or anything. I don't think that's needed either.

Here's what I saw when I first opened the tube and rolled out the lipstick. As you can see, a beautiful red appeared! Love-ly! I don't think it looks like a cherry, because it's not very deep red, but that's okay! It has more of an orange undertone to it, I think.

Swatch! Even though this is a very cheap product, the pigmentation isn't crappy! Don't you just love it when that happens? I know I do!

And this is how it looks on my lips! Even though it's a matt lipstick, it looks a little bit shiny on my lips. I'm not bothered by that, I think my lips look very moisturized and healthy this way.
The lipstick glides on, it's quite creamy which makes it smooth and oh so easy to use. Without eating, this lipstick lasts me quite long but after eating lunch I did have to touch up a little.

That's it! Conclusion? I love this lipstick! Budget but good quality. Nice to use, lovely packaging. Yeah, I'm quite happy with this lipstick! More to come...?
Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

EOTD: Mermaid mood

Hi!
Today I have another "eye of the day" for you! I have been trying out a lot of new looks, that are often created with my E.L.F. 144 piece bright palette. This look was made with this palette as well!
The goal was to create a look that was colourful and challenging. So, I decided to go for a "mermaid makeup look".
I actually ended up really liking the result, so I decided to share it with you!

I was making a photo tutorial of this look. Every step I did, I photographed. It's just that I got so carried away in my mermaid mood that I forgot to take pictures!

Products used:
* E.L.F. 144 bright eyeshadow palette
* Essence liquid eyeliner
* Essence mascara
* Gosh turqoise eyeliner (for the dots on my outer corner)

I hope you liked it! Thanks for reading!

E.L.F. chubby lipgloss stick review

Hello! The chubby lipstick trend has been going on for a little while now: Clinique, Bourjois, Catrice, they all have chubby lipsticks or jumbo lipsticks in their assortment. I decided to go ahead and test one myself. This one is by eyes lips face or E.L.F.

The jumbo lipgloss stick that I got is called "In the Nude", it's a nude colour. Perfect for everyday, nice and neutral.

Swatch! As you can see it's very nude, it's almost my skintone! It also has a bit of sparkles!

And this is what the jumbo lip gloss looks like on my lips! I normally put this on first, and then I go over it with a peachy gloss!
Thanks for reading! Stay safe!

EOTD: Rainbow

Hello! Today I have a very colourful makeup look for you! I received my e.l.f. 144 makeup palette recently and thesame night I was experimenting with the colours already. I have made a rainbow tutorial and I thought it looked quite nice so today I wanted to show you! The colours aren't very wearable for everyday (unless you're a real badass) but I think they are pretty for every once in a while.
You might have seen a sneak peek in my weekly diary of yesterday!

This is the palette that I used for this look. I used the brightest yellow, the orange bottom colour in the second row (from the left), the brightest pink, the purple next to it and then the blue in the first horizontal row. The blue mascara that I used is by 2B.

I hope you liked the pictures! Thanks for reading!

E.L.F. 144 Piece neutral eyeshadow palette review

Hi sweeties!
A few days ago I received my E.L.F. order. I was very happy and excited to use the palettes that I got - and I have used them ever since I got it. Sometimes I use this one, sometimes I use the other, brighter one, it depends on the look I want to make. Today I wanted to review this neutral palette for you.

This palette is called the 144 Piece neutral eyeshadow palette review and it was $16. Quite cheap for all the colours you get! When I first looked at the palette I thought two things. The first thing was: "Woah, I can make so many looks with this thing!" and the second thought was: "Oh gosh, how am I ever going to use all of these?"
There's a lot of choice, if you don't find a colour that you like in this palette, I might not understand you. Also, this huge variety of colours makes sure that there are colours in this palette for every skintone. I think this makes a great, inexpensive but impressive gift!

Some swatches of random colours in this palette. Some of them are less pigmented but most of them are pigmented very well! The picture below is a picture of eight different colours that I swatched. The pictures are taken with natural daylight.

With flash.

Great, isn't it? I am in love with this palette!
Thank you so much for reading!

EOTD: Show some yellow

Hello beauties! The E.L.F. palette that I received earlier this week has been used every day so far. It's so beautiful and it holds so many colours, ah, I think this is perfection in a little box! The makeup look that I'm showing you today is - again - a colour pop makeup look. But, it's not the regular "neutrals on top, bright eyeliner on the waterline". I decided to go for quite a light and still wearable look where I used yellow in my crease.

Take a look at the pictures!

All the eyeshadows I used are from my 144 Piece Bright eyeshadow palette by E.L.F.. The liquid eyeliner I used is by Essence, so is the mascara and so is the pencil eyeliner on my waterline.

Thanks a lot for reading again! Have a great day!
