EOTD: Glitter Dust

Goodmorning eveyone! I'm back with an extra sparkly eye of the day.
H&M has had crazy make-up sales and I have taken advantage of it. I think I got all the coloyrs of their mono eyeshadows. I also got their glitter dust, which is so absolutely gorgeous and sparkly.
That's what today's make-up look is about!

I made the look extra smokey by applying eyeliner on upper lashline and lower waterline.

EOTD: Post #1000!

Goodevening everyone! How have you been doing?
I am so happy to announce that today, I'm writing post number 1000 on this blog! I have spent so much time on this blog and I have learned so much, but the most important thing is that my passion has continued to grow- and still grows every single day.
Also, not to sound too lame, but I also want to thank those of you who read my blog on a daily basis.

This look is created with the I heart Make-Up Dark Chocolate palette. You can click here to read the review on that palette.
I went for a smokey eye withour a winged eyeliner but with a subtle eyeshadow liner. The eyeshadow shades are red/purple - a bit tricky, but lovely when the look is finished.

Thanks again for reading! I hope to still welcome you on the blog when I'm writing my 2000th post.
Have a really great day!

Manicure Monday: Olive

Goodmorning and welcome to Manicure Monday!
Olive green has become a colour I really like. A couple of my friends have had olive green manicures before and I always think they are so beautiful, but I never had an olive manicure myself.

Last week, all the beauty products in H&M went on sale and I found two gorgeous nailpolishes: one olive green and one clear with gold flakes. Time for an olive green manicure!

"Flake it" and "Olive Grove"
Two layers of this nailpolish covers everything. So smooth and pretty. The colour is really nice as well, as an extra detail, I applied some of the gold flakes on my ring finger. Subtle but a nice detail.

Have a happy Monday!

EOTD: Phoenix

Goodmorning everyone!
About two months ago I got two palettes by Make-up Revolution and a lot of the looks I have been creating lately, have been created with these two palettes.

For today's look I decided to use my Flawless 2 palette. I have been crazy about the orange, pink and cranberry tones in this palette. I decided to create a phoenix inspired look using the brightest colours in this palette.

I used an orange eyeshadow in the crease and blended that out. Next, I used the two brightest, cranberry pink eyeshadows in my crease.  This way my crease pops more and the look becomes even brighter. I darkened up the outer corner by using a brown eyeshadow with a red undertone. This gives the look more depth. You can make this as intense as you want, I decided not to go too overboard with the darkest eyeshadow.

The blending of the colours is very important with this look. If you find your eyeshadows are difficult to blend, I recommend picking up a flesh coloured eyeshadow to help blend out the harsh lines. After blending, you will notice the eyeshadows are like an ombre, they fade into each other very nicely.

On  my lid I used two colours: a bright gold eyeshadow in the inner corner and a shimmery copper on the outer corner. At this point you can blend some of the darker eyeshadow into the outer corner of the lid. By doing this you create a "V" shape, which will make the eyeshadow look more put together.

Next I grabbed a pencil brush and applied gold, copper and some brown on my lower lashline, then blended it out.
Because red shades can make you look really sick, I made sure to apply enough eyeliner. The black eyeliner will neutralize some of the red. I applied eyeliner on both upper lashline and lower waterline.
Some mascara, and done!

I hope you enjoyed this look!
Thanks a lot for reading and have a good one!

EOTD: Universe

Last week I got new "glitter dust" by H&M. I already had some gold glitter dust and since I am so crazy about them, I've been wanting to get more.
A few days ago I found some colours I liked - and they were on sale as well! I got a silver one, a white one and a black with blue one - all for €3 a piece.

I love glitter. It comes in handy for special occassions like birthdays and New Year's celebrations, but it's also a fun to wear on a daily basis. You get to create a fun make-up look and the sparkly just makes it that extra bit special.

This look that I made today doesn't just have glitter dust, it also has a bright eyeliner and some black eyeshadow. Easier than you'd think and great to steal the show on a night out!
Oh, and when you look up, you might notice that the sky above you looks just like the make-up you have on your eyes.
Let's have a look!

I applied two shades of brown in my crease first and blended them out. Next I applied black eyeshadow all over my eyelid and just a tiny bit of glitter glue on top of that before applying the glitter dust.
I also put on black eyeliner, to put blue eyeliner on top of that later (it just shows up better when there's a base already). Some kohl liner on the waterline, mascara and done!

Not your everyday kind of look. It is a bit of a dramatic look, but it sure is fun. Below you can find two full face pictures!

Thank you again for reading today! Have a good one!

EOTD: Day-to-night gold!

For the last couple of years, I have had a love affair with gold, orange, cranberry and copper eyeshadow. When I was younger, these were the eyeshadows that I - and all the other girls who were just starting out with make-up - feared.
Red shades can make you look very sick very easily, so it goes without saying that plenty of us looked as if we had a bad case of hayfever some days, hah!

Today I'll show you one of my favourite (easy) day-to-night looks. Let's go!

The first look I'm starting off with is pretty simple to achieve. A light brown eyeshadow in my crease and a little bit of a darker brown in the outer corner.
Once that is blended out, I pick the colour that I would like to apply on my eyelid. This eyeshadow colour is a gold/copper-y look. It shows up like more of a gold colour on camera, but it's more of a copper in real life.

With red shades, I always use black liquid eyeliner (most of the time top eyeliner as well as bottom eyeliner) because this will neutralize the red shades. If you're trying looks with brick reds or very vibrant shades of pink, I'd also recommend lots and lots of blending!

To turn this look into a 'night'/party look, I did a couple of things.
The first thing I did was use a darker shade of brown eyeshadow in my crease and blend this out. To accentuate the outer corner, I applied some black eyeshadow and blended this out carefully. I also re-applied my eyeliner and made the wing a tiny bit longer for a more dramatic effect.

For this look, I used my Flawless palette by Make-up Revolution, which is definitely one of my favourites right now! You can read an in depth review by clicking the link here.

Have a nice day!

EOTD: Classic cool toned smokey eyes!

Goodmorning everyone! I'm not sure if you've noticed but the past week has been the week of smokey eyes!
I told you in one of my recent posts that I have been homebound and therefore have had a lot of time on my hands. This has also given me the opportunity to spend some more effort on my make-up.
So far I have been trying to think of creative make-up looks every single day. This look today is a typical classic smokey eye. I rarely use cool tones for a make-up look- so I thought it'd be fun to do that today! Switch it up!

For this look, I used the Flawless 2 palette by Make-up Revolution. This one has a lot of brown shades (cool and warm) and a variety of great grey shades as well.

The black eyeshadow that I used is from the Nude 'Tude palette by The Balm. I think it's a very pigmented eyeshadow but it's also blends out incredibly well. The silver glitter eyeshadow was a single eyeshadow by Catrice. I don't think they have this one anymore, but I'm sure they have a replacement.

Below you can see what my full face make-up looks like. I tried not to go completely overboard and also apply really heavy eyeliner and lashes because this was a "daytime" look but of course you could if you wanted to. At nighttime, I would probably add lashes too!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
See you soon!

I ♥ Make-up Dark Chocolate palette review!

Oops, I did it again...

I have found another chocolate make-up palette and as a big fan and collector.... Well, I got it.
This is the darkest palette in the "collection" of chocolate palette. Hence the name "Dark Chocolate".

I have previously reviewed "Naked Chocolate" and "Salted Caramel" - if you'd like to read those reviews, you can just click the names of the palettes. They are linked and will take you to previous reviews.

The palette looks thesame as the other two. It is just a little bit darker.
The eyeshadows inside the palette are also a bit darker. A lot of shimmery colours and a lot of green tones. The only lighter colours are two highlights and a very soft baby pink.

In the next picture you can see the swatches. To be honest, I was a little bit disappointed. Most of the colours are darker (and shimmery) so I expected them to really pop. There's also a lot of fall out as you can see in the picture.

I'll have a few make-up looks online soon. I hope this palette can still convince me.

Have a lovely day!

EOTD: Mermaid life!

Hey you guys!
I don't know if you can tell, but I have been on a roll with make-up looks lately! I have been homebound for the last week and rather than watching TV, I have been trying to keep busy with new and refreshing make-up looks, as well as keeping my lifestyle healthy and happy.

Today's look was created with my Flawless palette by Make-up Revolution. It holds plenty of grey toned eyeshadows and a couple great green-ish shades.

I also used one of my old Catrice shimmery eyeshadows. This one really is gorgeous. There's so much shimmer in it, it just makes your eyes pop! It definitely boosts this look!
Unfortunately, this one was limited edition and is not available anymore.

I hope you have a really nice day!
As always, thank you for reading!

EOTD: Smokey sunset

Gooooodmorning sweeties! Today's post has been one of my favourite looks in the last few weeks! It's a darker look for sure - a smokey eye using both copper, brown and a purple eyeshadow.
I used my Flawless 2 palette by Make-up Revolution to create this smokey eye. You can click this link to take you to the review.

Here's how to make this look
(also a quick question: would you guys like to see more tutorials? I have been thinking about it a lot because it's easier for me to explain what I'm doing, while I'm doing it. I also think it would be more fun for you to watch!) :

I started by applying copper eyeshadow in my crease. I'm also going to use this colour to blend in my darker shades of brown that I applied on the outer corner for my next step. I used two shades for this next step. The lightest shade was placed in the whole crease and blended out. The darker shade was focussed more on the outer corner. This really gives a nice smokey effect and looks a little bit like a cat eye, which I love.

Next I applied a skintoned eyeshadow as a highlight under my browbone. The last step was to apply the deep purple eyeshadow to my lid and on my lower lashline. I only put on a very thin line of eyeliner on my upper lashline and some kohl liner on my waterline to make this look even more intense. Mascara, and done!

Here's what the full face looks like. I really enjoyed creating this look, it's quite easy to do and it looks great!
