Mixing it up!

Hello you guys!
The title of this post is a little bit confusing - you probably don't know what to expect. Unless you've seen the following pictures already!

Somewhere in April I got an Essence eyebrow kit. I reviewed it. A little bit later I got a Catrice eyebrow set. Today, I'm still using the Catrice eyebrow set, because I prefer that one, the Essence one got a little bit forgotten. What to do with the Essence eyebrow kit, that I won't use for my brows anymore?

I decided to go ahead and create a makeup look with these two colours. The eyeshadow that you put on your brows isn't any different than the eyeshadow that's meant for your eyes. The only difference is that the colours from eyebrow palettes are colours that will probably fit the colour of your eyebrows (that's why it's an eyebrow kit! Gosh, I'm rambling!).

The look that I made isn't hard to make at all. I put the lightbrown colour on my lid and the other colour in my outer corner. Then I blended a little bit, just very quickly. I applied mascara and that's it. Super simple, quick and easy. It didn't even take me two minutes!

I didn't put on liquid eyeliner or anything, since it's been really hot and I don't like a lot of makeup on sweaty, hot, burning summer days. The lighter, the better!

So, that's it for this quick, little makeup look! I think I will probably keep using this as eyeshadow, since the lightest colour is too "brown brown" (I prefer brown that looks like grey a little bit, it looks way more natural!) and the darkest colour is too dark to use on my eyebrows.

What do you think? Do you have this palette, and if so, does it work for you?
Thanks for visiting and reading! I appreciate it!

OOTD: Pool Party

Hello you guys!
I've been outside a lot this week! I've been to the pool several times and I went for a drink several times. Today I wanted to share a really simple outfit of the day with you.

This dress is a dress I wore when I went to the pool. I actually didn't swim at all that day, I just did some sunbathing. I thought the dress looked quite cute. It was very hot but with this dress on I thought it was bearable. Also, the colours of this dress make me very happy, it reminds me of candy and summer and happiness, ahh, what more can you wish for?

The dress that I'm wearing is from H&M. My necklace is by Six. I'm wearing simple, black ballet flats, but I can't remember where I got them! Sorry!

That's what my outfit looked like! How are you? Is it hot and sunny out there as well? Enjoy and stay safe!

H&M Smoky eyes palette makeup look

Hello you guys! Back when I was in Paris (a little less than two months ago) I did a little bit of shopping. I got some stuff from H&M, including two makeup palettes; the "Nudes" palette and the "Smoky" palette. Today I'm going to show you a look I made with the Smoky eyeshadow palette.

The thing I like about this palette is that it holds a lot of brown toned colours. All the colours in this palette are colours that make blue eyes appear more blue, which is nice because I have blue eyes.

Like always, this look is darker in real life, it looks less dark because I take all the pictures in front of a window when the sun shines.
I used the "orange" colour all over my lid, the matt brown (second colour from the right) in my crease, the brown colour totally on the right in my outer "V" and the lightest colour (on the left) in my inner tear duct and on my brow bone as a highlighter.
I also used the darkest colour as a subtile eyeliner. You could always use liquid eyeliner if you want to, I didn't this time.

You can make the look darker by applying some of the dark brown colour on your lower lashline. I didn't because I have sensitive eyes. Other alternatives to make the look appear darker is to use liquid eyeliner on the upper lashline and black eyeliner on the waterline.

That's the look! I hope you like it! Thanks for reading!

Video: Dear 16 year old me

Hello sweeties! Wow, it has been hot these last few days! I spent three days sunbathing already! Even though I did cover myself in a lot of sunscreen, I am feeling a little bit sunburnt in some areas. Especially my back hurts, because I didn't have anyone to cover it in sunscreen for me (and I can't do my back myself).

I, of course, try to be very careful and I just want to warn you and to let you know that you should too! Last night I found a video called "16 year old me" which left me with a heartache.
The situations in these videos are heartbreaking and stimulated me even more to take good care of myself.

I just wanted to share this with you, because it's important and because I think my readers should see and know this.

Stay beautiful, stay safe! Have a good day!

Essence match 2 cover cream concealer review

Hello everyone! How are you?
I have been developing a bit of a concealer obsession over the last few months. During my quest for the perfect concealer, I came across this one. This is the match 2 cover cream concealer by Essence. The back of the product says that this is a high coverage concealer. Of course I wanted to take this little concealer kit home and see if it was a good deal (there weren't any testers)!

This concealer kit comes in a very simple packaging that's easy to see through. It holds two concealers: a darker one and a lighter one. I like this, that way you can mix the two concealers if they don't fit your skintone.

This concealer duo should be high coverage, at least that what it says on the back. Finding one that's cheap and high coverage would be really nice! Here are the swatches!

This concealer is very creamy but I don't feel like it's very high coverage. I'd say it's more like medium coverage. My Catrice camouflage cream is a high coverage concealer and you can feel that the substance of that concealer is thicker and when putting it on you can also see that it simply covers more.

I do like this concealer, it's nice, cheap and it'll give you good coverage. I think I would use this one more on a daily basis and then when I have an acne breakout, I would go for something that covers a little bit more, which is my Catrice concealer.
