Essence "Tropical Heat" shimmer powder review

Hello you guys! A little while ago I went beauty shopping. Surprisingly I only brought home four items. This was one of the items.
It's a shimmer powder/highlighter by Essence, called "Tropical Heat", and it's from the "Ticket to Paradise" collection.

The packaging is quite simple, as always. I do like the design of the shimmer powder, it does remind me of a tropical place, a Paradise, I think they did a very good job on that! You can recognize a couple of flowers and leaves from palm trees (at least that's what they look like to me). Wauw! I get so happy when I look at it (confessions of a beauty addict, haha!).

The shimmer powder is gold, which I think is very pretty. I prefer to wear warm colours like this, instead of cold colours like pink. I just think highlighter in summer is so much prettier if it has an orange/gold undertone to it.

This is what the shimmer powder looks like on my face. It wasn't as hard to photograph as I thought. As you can see, it's very subtile, yet pigmented very nicely.

I am very happy with this shimmer powder, I think it looks absolutely gorgeous and I've been using it every single day since I got it! So happy I could get my hands on this baby in time! I wish this wouldn't be a limited edition product, I feel like I would buy this every year, over and over again!

Weekly Diary

Hello! Today is Sunday again and I've had the best week in a very long time. It's the first week of summer break and I did a lot of cool things, I've never had so much fun in only a few days.

First we went to go pick up our new school books for next year, which isn't as exciting but after that we were free as birds to do whatever we want. We went to see a friend, roasted marshmallows, played with the dog and went walking with him. We also took outfit pictures that day. It was so much fun!

I've created a new hair do! Bascially, I just put my hair in a side braid and then I twist it around until it becomes a knot. I kept it like this for a day and I had nice curls the day after!

Free time = mask time! I haven't done this in quite a while so it's good to have that back!

Full face photo of the green look I made earlier. I'm still trying to decide if I like the green pencil eyeliner above my black liquid eyeliner or not.

What do you think? This is a close up picture.

Just in the mood to do a Kim Kardashian makeup look. Just for fun, so you don't have to expect a post on it. Unless you really want it? (Let me know in the comments!)
It was so funny, you can't see it here but I had such dark foundation on, it looked horrible!

Pool party! Yay! I haven't got a bikini or a cute swimsuit yet so I just went with a short dress. I, of course didn't go in the water, but I did sunbath a little bit! I ended up getting a sunburn on my back (the only place I can't put on sunscreen, and because my friends were too busy with themselves haha!). Great, I've always wanted a red back!
I also have a video about that subject coming up!

And of course, we went out a little bit. The first day we had a birthday party which I entended (not too long though, haha!), in the picture we are just getting ready to leave to the party.

The day after we were just like "Hey you wanna go for a drink?" "Yeah."

And that's what my week was like! What was your week like? I hope you had fun!

Essence Blockbuster eyeshadow review

Hello!
I got a bunch of eyeshadows by Essence from a friend (she didn't use them) and so I thought I'd review them for you. I'm going to review one eyeshadow at a time because I tend to talk quite a lot about every product I review and I don't want to bore you with a half book, haha!

Okay, so the first eyeshadow that I'm reviewing today is called "Blockbuster". It's by Essence and it's a matt eyeshadow.

This Essence eyeshadow is an eyeshadow from the permanent  collection, so it doesn't have a special packaging. As always, it's just see through plastic with black letters and a sticker with the name, the number and some other information on the back.
I do like the design on the eyeshadow. It's on every eyeshadow but I think it looks fabulous! The design on this eyeshadow faded a little bit already!

As you can see, this is a very light colour. I haven't used it very often but the times that I have used it, I used it as a highlighter. The colour is so light that it's a little too light just to put on the lid (for me). You can barely see the colour (it's so close to my skintone, haha!)

I remember that I've compared this colour in another "makeup dupes" post! I'll link it, just in case you are curious. Click here.

Swatch time! I'm very happy with how this eyeshadow looks, light, perfect as highlighter, I don't get fall out, it applies easily. Yeah, you could say I like it!

OOTD: Dog walking fun!

Hello everyone! I went to visit my friend with my sister and after hanging out at his place and roasting marshmallows, we decided to take his dog for a walk. My sister was also kind enough to take outfit pictures with me.

The bandana that I'm wearing is from a local shop, my lipstick is "Kiss of life", by Kate Moss for Rimmel London. The necklace is a half heart that I share with my sister, but I got it so long ago I don't even remember where I got it from. I think it was from "Six". My watch is from New Look. So are my shorts. My top and T-shirt are by H&M and my shoes are Converse All Stars.

And of course I wanted a picture of them! My sister is on the left, my friend is on the right and his little dog Molly is in the picture as well! Unfortunately she was too excited to get a good shot of her face!

EOTD: Wood nymph!

Hello! Happy Fourth of July!
Do you remember my post on my new palettes by Color magic? I promised I would try to make a look with every palette. Today I decided to work with the green one, since I was in the mood for a bit of colour. It's not over the top, but it's nice.

I, of course, didn't only use the palette. I decided to use two green pencil eyeliners as well, I had them laying around so why not use them?
The pencil on the left is by Catrice. It's from a limited edition collection called "Colors of the ocean". I got it from my mom when I was very young. It also has a silver side, but I didn't use that side today.
The pencil eyeliner on the right is from Chit Chat. I got this eyeliner about three years ago when I went to Canterbury with school.

Swatches of the eyeliners. Chit Chat on the left, Catrice on the right. Beautiful, isn't it? The eyeliner from Chit Chat has glitter in it as well!

I used the eyeshadows for my eyelid and crease, applied liquid eyeliner and mascara and as finishing touch I also applied the pencil eyeliner. The darkest green, from Catrice, was applied on the outer part, closer to the wing and the lightest, glittery pencil eyeliner by Chit Chat was used closer to the nose.

After I took these pictures I also applied the dark green eyeliner above my liquid eyeliner. It was just a thin line, but I think it was a little bit too much. That's why I didn't make pictures of it.

Feeling like a nympf!

I'm not the type of person to wear a lot of green eyeshadow but I do really like this look! I think I will be wearing this more often!

Let me know what you think! I hope you enjoyed this post!
