The Body Shop shower gel review

One of the litte things in life that can make me really happy is scents. I love waking up in the morning when my room still smells like the perfume I put on the day before. I also love taking long hot showers.

 

Showering has just gotten better since I started using The Body Shop Mango shower gel. I never tried these before but about a week ago, the shower gels were on sale. Perfect time to try! I got three bottles (mango scent, choclate scent and strawberry scent) for €12, which isn't even really expensive if you think about it.

I decided I would use my mango shower gel first, because I also have a mango body butter and using them together seemed like a good idea to me. This shower gel is soap free by the way, for any of you ladies or men who are allergic!

Let me just say, I feel like I'm in a tropical paradise when I smell this. My god, does this make me feel reborn! I nearly can't stop sniffing myself (haha, this sounds so wrong)!

When I get out of the shower I put on my mango body butter over it, which makes me smell like mango's even more and I love it. I smell good all day and in the end, isn't that what we all want? 

I was also surprised how little of this product you need! I didn't expect it but I think if you use it everyday, you won't empty it until one or two months after. Unless you really use lots and lots.

 

So yes, these shower gels are a big big favourite of mine! I can't believe I didn't try them for so long! Next time they are on sale, I will probably get 20 more of these bottles.

Manicure Monday ♥

Hi sweeties! It's been quite a while since I've done a manicure Monday so today I'm going to change that! For months now, I've been in love with a drugstore nailpolish. I tried it for the first time about a month before my exams, when I tried fake nails for the first time. Even though I had to get used to the nails, I didn't want them off because the nailpolish I put on them was so beautiful I couldn't keep my eyes off!

 

I would catch a glimps of my nailpolish when I wrote something down in class or when I was shooting pictures for the blog and it would make me smile. It's the little things that make me happy or that give me a good feeling, and this nailpolish did too, it made me feel beautiful!

 

This nailpolish is by Essence, it's from the Colour&Go line. The colour is called "The boy next door". It's a marine/dark blue (I used flash in the pictures so it looks brighter and you can see the glitter better, in real life you don't really see it) and the nailpolish covers in one layer but I always put two on just to be sure.

Aside from all that, do you know what's best? It's super cheap!

Weekly Diary

Hello everyone! Another week has flown by! It's been quite the week! Take a look with me?

The week started of with a ride to the mall with my dad. I enjoy driving, I love watching the space around me. And above me. These beautiful clouds just came up out of nowhere and I decided I needed to take a picture!

I also started a two week internship this week! I do like it there, although the hours are a bit of a change for me, and I have to work on Wednesday afternoons whereas I'm free when I'm at school on Wednesday afternoons but it's okay. I have one more week to go and I think I'm going to miss it when I leave.

Oh, they also have the most amazing soup there! And Homer Simpson coffee mugs!

Time for a little treat!

When I have my internship I'm not allowed to wear a lot of makeup or wear my vintage clothes. Well, the teachers have just told me not to do it, no matter what. I'm glad there's still the weekend to dress up! This outfit is up already, it came online yesterday. I wore this to go grocery shopping because my parents weren't home (they were picking up the new cat! Yes, we have a new cat!). I got a few really nice comments from people at the store. Sometimes all is not bad!

And my cats love the dress as well apparently. I sat down to stroke one of the cats and she got under my skirt. RUDE. Haha, just kidding, there's enough of space under there.

Here I am with an outfit post, finally. I had to do some grocery shopping today and I figured I'd wear one of my swing dresses again, it's been a long time! The swing dress is from Topvintage (and so are my shoes) and my shirt is by H&M. I love the colour!

I added pearl earrings and a little elegant necklace, and of course I couldn't leave my lipstick behind! Today I'm wearing MAC's "Russian Red".

In my hair I have some flowers. I wanted to curl my hair at first but I didn't have enough time, unfortunately. The white flower is by H&M and the black one is by Claire's. My watch is by New Look.

Bookreview: Stephen King

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to review one of Stephen King's thrillers.
Since I'm Dutch, the title of the book is in Dutch as well but it's translated to "Dreamcatcher". In this book we follow Sam. The story starts off when he has to do a presentation because another one of his collegues couldn't do it. Sam doesn't know how to do presentations or speeches so he asks his secretary Naomi for advice. She tells him to get some books and get tips from there. So he does.

 

The only problem is that you have to return the books in time, or else the "book police" will come after you and do horrible things! Only, Sam forgets about the books. Next thing he knows, he's lost them!

In his search for the books he meets Dirty Dave, who's responsable for the missing books and the posters of the book police in the scary library. He also meets a whole new side of Naomi. And what's up with the library? Why does it keep on changing? Why does the book police look so familiar to him? Why does he hate licorice but knows exactly what it smells and tastes like? And then there's this girl.... Ardelia!

Sam is in a parellell, terrifying world where nothing is what it seems.

I absolutely loved this book. It was scary, yes, but that's why Stephen King is the thriller King. Luckely it wasn't so scary that I couldn't read it, which has happened with one of his books, it just gave me nightmares! Haha!

I also love how unexpected things happen in this book and how there's played with flashbacks and flashforwards. Really great, loved this story! It takes a true genious to come up with something like this!
