Back to basics: the tutorial!

Hello everyone!
My last post on this blog was a very easy, but (in my eyes) very beautiful make-up look. It's the look that I wear when I have no inspiration for something else, or my go to look when I'm in a hurry.
In this look I incorporated pink as the "most important" colour. Pink is a soft and sweet colour that's easy to wear because it can still look quite natural.

I recorded this three minute tutorial to give you guys some inspiration! If you've got some time to spare... check it out!
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Back to basics: easiest, quickest make-up look!

Goodmorning everyone!
Today I have my "back to basics" look for you guys. I wear this look very often, if I have to get up early for school but I still want a put together make-up look. It's not just nice for people who have to get up early in the morning and want to snooze as long as they can, but also for young girls in high school and people who are just getting into make-up.

I used a couple of eyeshadow to achieve this look. No harsh eyeliner, this is more like a soft, simple look.
I used my Maybelline Colour tattoo in Pink Gold and my L'Oréal Infallible eyeshadow in "Pink". In my crease I used a light brown transition colour (just dark enough to create a bit of shadow, but not obvious) and my L'Oréal Infaillable eyeshadow in "Enigmatic Purple".

I also have filmed a make-up tutorial on this look, which will probably be up on Sunday.
PS I also recorded a "day to night" look video where this is the day look, so keep your eyes open for sure!

Have a lovely day!

EOTD: Spring is just around the corner!

Goodmorning everyone!
These last few days have been cold, but sunny. I say this every year, but I feel like I'm always in a much better mood when the sun is shining. I have been wearing either really dark make-up or not much make-up at all, so I went for a put together, much lighter look today.
I still smoked it ou a bitt, but I actually used cranberry/orange/peach eyeshadow colours for this look! Here's a tip for you blue eyed girls (and boys) out there: these eyeshadows will make blue eyes pop!

I used my Nude 'Tude and Nude Dude palette from The Balm for this look, as well as my MAC make-up palette.

I also recorded a tutorial for this look, but right after applying foundation I moved a tiny bit, which means that I was out of focus the whole time. I will try to record it once again this week! If you have any other requests, don't hesitate to let me know!
Here are some full face pictures!

For my brows, I used the MUA eyebrow set. I used my Essence concealer underneith my eyes and my Catrice camouflage cream on my face.
My eyeliner and mascara are also by Essence.

Steam Pod!

Happy Monday everyone!
You know I like to change my appearance every once in a while. I have - once again - changed my hair colour. I'm blonde again. Turns out that I feel like this colour fits me the most. A lot of people think red is just too rough for me, and I also notice it in the way people treat me when I have different hair colours.

Anyway, the constant changing of my hair colour does damage my hair a bit. Especially going blonde is a bit of an unhealthy habit.
Aside from getting different hair colours, I also use quite a bit of heat on my hair: curling, straightening, putting it in really tight ponytails or knots,...

Time to make a change! One of the small changes I wanted to make, was using less heat. So I got myself a steam pod. If you aren't familiar with what a steampod is, it's a "healthy" hair straightener that uses steam.

I wasn't really convinced about this product until my hairdresser actually used it on my hair a couple of times. My sister told me that even though it's a rather large amount of money (€199), it's a good investment - and that maybe spending a bit more money on a healthier iron, would be nicer than having to chop my hair shorter and shorter everytime I go to the hairdressers.

I have used this Steam Pod for about a week now and I must say that I'm a really huge fan. I think it straightens very well without damaging my hair.

Because I haven't had the change to really document my hair before and after the use of this steam pod, I looked up some pictures online and found this one from Pinterest.
I don't think I need to say more, the pictures speak for themselves.

What do you think? Have you ever used or owned a steam pod?

Unpublished outfit of the day

Hello everyone! Thanks for tuning in again! Yesterday evening I had problems getting to sleep. I sometimes have days -or even weeks- where I have problems getting to sleep. My favourite thing to do when I can't sleep is browse on the Internet a little bit.

I grabbed my laptop and started writing a post or two, when suddenly I saw this untitled blog in my concepts. It turned out to contain outfit of the day pictures that I had forgotten about. I shot these pictures right before changing my hair colour back to blonde, which is why it might look a bit weird. Anyway, here's my long lost outfit of the day!

These are pictures of the café where my friend and I went after shooting my outfit pictures. I thought it looked so nice inside so I snapped a couple of pictures.
