Kat Von D Saint & Sinner eyeshadow palette!

Goodmorning everyone! How have you been?
I've been teasing the review of this palette for a little while on Instagram now. I have finally had enough time to experiment with different looks and colours. I still haven't tested all of them, but most of them have been used - and approved.

This is what the packaging looks like. I'm very impressed by the packaging of the palette. It's something different.

The swatches didn't disppoint for sure! There's such a variety!
Dark, light, bright,... I have to say that all of the swatches look very good. The dark ones show up without too much fall out and the light colours are visible, which isn't always the case on my light skin.

Here's a look that I did using the "Saint" side of the palette on my left eye and the "Sinner" side on my right eye. As you can see the left side is a quite wearable look with a halo effect in the middle of the eye.
The right side is a purple smokey eye with pink and red details in the crease.

Here are some other looks that I have done with the palette. I'm very happy with the results this palette gives me, this is one that I would recommend for sure. Beautiful colour range and great pigment!

Christmas make-up look #2

Happy Thursday! I can't believe we're going to celebrate Christmas in a couple of days already! I have been looking forward to Christmas for a few weeks now and one of the things I enjoy most is picking out outfits and looks.

This look is quite different than the one I uploaded on Sunday.
It's a bit darker, but it's all matt. Dark browns and blacks on the lid, orange and red eyeshadows in the crease.

I think it looks different, yet very sophisticated.

The palette that I used to make this look is the Kat Von D Sinner & Saint palette. This palette holds so many colours and has so many options for looks, it's crazy!
I still have a review with swatches of this palette coming up, so if you'd like to see what the palette is like, you can wait for that review.

I will be doing tons of looks with this palette - I think I'll challenge myself to do five completely different looks using this one palette. What do you think?

After finishing my look with the Kat Von D palette, I decided to apply some copper pigment by MAC in the inner corner for that extra touch!

If you'd like, you can also wear false lashes for this look. I'm really not good at applying them (on myself) but I think for this look, it would be extra beautiful!

I hope this inspired you a little! Thanks for reading!

EOTD: Red Halo

Goodmorning everyone! Here I am again and this time I have a bit of a special look for you!
The look that I am wearing today is a little out of my comfort zone, it's based on orange and red eyeshadows.
I have said it before on this blog and I'll say it again: red eyeshadows can be very intimidating and can make you look sick or like you've just cried in no-time.

These past few months I've started to appreciate oranges and reds a lot more.
The look that I made today is a "halo" look - this means that you have darker colours on the in- and outside of your eyelids and a lighter colour in the center.
This technique makes your eyes look bigger and brighter, which is really nice if you have small eyes.

I started by working a tan eyeshadow from Urban Decay's Naked Heat palette into my crease and blending it out.
Then, I put "Red Brick" by MAC in my crease, inner- and outer corner. This is a really bright orange, matt eyeshadow colour. Next, I darkened things up with the shimmery red "Ruddy" eyeshadow (also by MAC).

Fenty Beauty "Trophy Wife" - MAC "Ruddy" - MAC "Red Brick" - Urban Decay Naked Heat "Sauced"

Because the Fenty Beauty "Trophy Wife" highlighter is a little bit too dark for me during the wintertime, I decided to put it on the middle of my eyelid, the part that I had left blank.
I carefully blended this in with "Red Brick", going back and forth between the two colours.

After that I went in with my H&M gel eyeliner and my trusty old Essence liquid ink eyeliner. I put a little highlight by Kat Von D in my inner corner, et voilĂ !
