Fenty Beauty Galaxy eyeshadow palette review

It's been a couple of months since Christmas. Almost all of my Christmas presents were make-up and blog related and after two months of testing and trying, I have a pretty good idea of which items I like and which items I don't.

The first review I'm going to be writing is my Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette. I've done quite a few looks on this palette and I've been hinting on my Instagram page, so this might look familiar to you.

The packaging is so gorgeous. Out of all the palettes I own, I think this one is one of my favourites - if not, my biggest favourite.

All of the eyeshadows in the palette are shimmery. They are all quite light in colour and there are a lot of different shades: from pink to gold, to purple, to copper, green and taupe.

Here are some colours that I have swatched. I was very surprised by how good the quality was. I'm always a little bit sceptical of celebrity make-up brands, but this is one that I don't regret.

Here are some eye looks that I've done with this palette. I'm very satisfied with how these shadows apply on the eyes. Very cute!

Have you tried out any Fenty Beauty products?

Have a good day!

EOTD: Frost

Every once in a while I get really inspired. It can be by nature, like when I see a sunset I like to create a similar look using yellow and orange eyeshadows.
I can get inspired by buildings, or by things I see on instagram.
I've been wanting to do a very bright, colourful look for a long time now. I have a gorgeous blue liquid eyeliner in my drawer that I can't use on a daily basis so I decided to do a look with this one. I used to be scared of pink and then I started doing a lot of pink looks. It's been ages since I've done anything with any blue eyeshadow, so I thought this would be a nice change for once.

The blue eyeshadow that I used is from a new Zoeva palette that I'm testing. I'm also using the blue eyeshadow from my Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette.
Probably my favourite product in this whole look is the MAC pigment that I used on my eyelid. It's called "Blue Brown" and it's a taupe with some blue sparkles in it.
So pretty - and you can make it wearable!

Christmas make-up look #1

Goodmorning  everyone! Are you feeling the Christmas spirit yet?
Today I have a new look for you guys, the first Christmas make-up look that I'm going to do on the blog! I went a little more out of the box than I normally would. This look is mainly green - and glittery - of course! Tis the season!

The star of the show for this look is my Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette. This palette is absolutely gorgeous and of course I will be doing a more in depth review on it!

Here are some close-ups of my make-up! The sparkly green is from the Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette and all the other ones are from the 35E palette by Morphe. The extra touch is my green eyeliner! I used the Glam Aqua Luxe liner by NYX!
The little green highlight in my inner corner is from a new palette by Kat Von D that I got! It's called the "Alchemist Holographic palette" - you'll see it appear very soon!

And here are some full face pictures!

I hope this inspired you a little bit! Have a nice day!

EOTD: Red Halo

Goodmorning everyone! Here I am again and this time I have a bit of a special look for you!
The look that I am wearing today is a little out of my comfort zone, it's based on orange and red eyeshadows.
I have said it before on this blog and I'll say it again: red eyeshadows can be very intimidating and can make you look sick or like you've just cried in no-time.

These past few months I've started to appreciate oranges and reds a lot more.
The look that I made today is a "halo" look - this means that you have darker colours on the in- and outside of your eyelids and a lighter colour in the center.
This technique makes your eyes look bigger and brighter, which is really nice if you have small eyes.

I started by working a tan eyeshadow from Urban Decay's Naked Heat palette into my crease and blending it out.
Then, I put "Red Brick" by MAC in my crease, inner- and outer corner. This is a really bright orange, matt eyeshadow colour. Next, I darkened things up with the shimmery red "Ruddy" eyeshadow (also by MAC).

Fenty Beauty "Trophy Wife" - MAC "Ruddy" - MAC "Red Brick" - Urban Decay Naked Heat "Sauced"

Because the Fenty Beauty "Trophy Wife" highlighter is a little bit too dark for me during the wintertime, I decided to put it on the middle of my eyelid, the part that I had left blank.
I carefully blended this in with "Red Brick", going back and forth between the two colours.

After that I went in with my H&M gel eyeliner and my trusty old Essence liquid ink eyeliner. I put a little highlight by Kat Von D in my inner corner, et voilĂ !

Fenty Beauty 'Throphy Wife" highlighter review!

There's nothing a woman like Rihanna can't get away with. Time and time again she steals the show. Rihanna has recently launched a beauty line and while I was in Malaga, I got my hands on one of her products (since we don't have a Sephora in Belgium)! Fenty beauty is a reference to Riri's real name: Robyn Fenty.

I got.... a highlighter of course! This one is a beautiful gold highlighter called "Trophy Wife".
The packaging is simple, but beautiful. It's shaped unlike any other highlighter in my collection.

This what you see when you open up the highlighter. A beautiful gold highlighter with the Fenty Beauty initials.
Below you can see the swatch. I was quite positively surprised. Look at that pigment! What I really like about this highlighter is that, when you apply it, it's still quite subtile.

This is what the highlighter looks like on my skin. I really like the way it looks on my skin. When the light catches the highlighter, it's just so beautiful. I do think the highlighter could be a little too dark for people with very light skin, but I think you could even use this highlighter as an eyeshadow.

I'm very happy with this Fenty Beauty highlighter. It's the only product I got from the whole collection but I'm very happy with it!

Thanks for reading!
