Essence ♥ Merry Berry ♥

Recently, Essence came out with a limited edition called "Merry berry". This was a Christmas collection. Due to work, I didn't have a chance to check it out and when I saw these nailpolishes appear on other blogs, I was sad that I missed these amazing nailpolishes.

A few days ago, when I went to go get some new shampoo, I found a couple of nailpolishes from the collection! Here they are!

The packaging of these products are so, so adorable. The name of the collection is written in curly cursive, gold letters on the bottle. The applicator is a big, gold "knob". Very cute and special!

I got two purple colours called "a masked ball" (dark purple) and "purple with purpose" (lighter purple). These were actually the only two colours they had left, but they are very fall/winter appropriate, so that makes me very happy.

It's very nice to see beautiful packaging, but if the product itself is not nice, that's kind of a waste of money. Essence nailpolishes are normally very nice quality, so I had high expectations for these two purple babies.
I tried "purple with purpose" first. This is the lighter purple colour. Here's what it looks like on my nails!

I was actually very happy when I saw how good this nailpolish looked! I applied two layers because I wanted great colour payoff, but it pretty much covered perfectly with the first layer! Just for fun, I added a little bit of glitter on the nail of my ring finger.
After all, I'm still feeling a little Christmas-y.

What do you think? I'm very impressed and I hope Essence comes out with colours like these in their permanent collection!

Thanks for reading! Have a good day!

Manicure Monday: happy girls are pretty!

Recently, Essence has released a collection called "happy girls are pretty". Such a beautiful name! I wasn't just impressed by the cuteness of the name, but also by their cute nailpolish!

This is such a cute grey/purple nailpolish. This nailpolish is a little bit textured, like sand. You can't feel it though. It's hard to explain. It covers in two layers, but I always apply three (just to be sure).

Manicure Monday: Dark purple

The days are getting darker and so is my nailpolish!
I tend to adjust my nailpolish and outfits, even my make-up, to the weather. It just inspires me a lot. Sometimes I will go for orange eyeshadow because the leaves that fall down from the trees look orange and that inspires me. Today I chose to mix up my nailpolish. I usually never wear a dark nailpolish like this, but sometimes, change is good.

This is a nailpolish by New Look, it's matte.
The colour looks like a dark purple in the bottle, but on my finger nails it looks more grey than purple. That disappointed me a teeny tiny bit, but the quality of this product made me happy again. I have two other nailpolishes from New Look that haven't disappointed me when it comes to coverage and texture, and this one is amazing as well.
I applied three layers, because that's how I like it and that's what I'm used to, but this nailpolish perfectly covers with two layers.
It also dries quickly and stays on for quite a while. I can keep this colour for about a week without chipping.

What do you think? Have you tried New Look's nailpolishes yet?

Manicure Monday: All white everything

Hello everyone!
It's been a little while since I've done a 'Manicure Monday'. White nailpolish is a challenge. It can look very sloppy but when done right, it can look absolutely stunning!

I haven't owned a white nailpolish in my life, but recently my sister gave her mine because she didn't use it. Challenge accepted!
This one is from New Look. It came in a collection by Kelly Brooke (from a while back) and it's called "Pristine Sheen".

I didn't think I'd like this, but I did! I think it looks quite nice. Not really a fall appropriate colour, but still, beautiful!

Do you like this manicure?
Thank you so much for reading!

Manicure Monday: Blues

Electic blue has to be my favourite colour. It's so vibrant yet not too flashy.
Recently I got this new blue colour from Essence and I think it looks really good! I've been wearing it on my nails for about two weeks now!

I've been getting and trying a lot of Essence nailpolishes recently and not one has let me down! Yay for Essence!

What a gorgeous colour, am I right? Ugh, I can't get enough of it!
This nailpolish covers in two layers! It costs €1.69.

New Look Nailpolishes

Goodmorning everyone! How are you doing?
I went on a little shopping spree not long ago and one of the few beauty things that I got were these matte nailpolishes by New Look.
Apparently they also sell beauty items now, which makes me happy! I decided to try these babies out and I got a purple and a pink matte nailpolish.

The packaging is pretty simple but I don't think it needs to be extravagant for a nailpolish.
The bottle is matte because the nailpolish is matte. I like that!

Here's what the nailpolish looks like on my nails. I think it's extremely beautiful.

This nailpolish covers in just one layer. I always do two just to be sure. It does dry pretty quick so you have to work fast. I don't have a problem with that but I'm just putting it out there for those of you who are interested in trying this nailpolish.

I paid €3.99 for these nailpolishes and they were worth every penny!

Have a good day!

Manicure Monday ♥ Be berry!

Hello everyone!
Today's post is a litte different, I have a Manicure Monday for you guys!
I rarely post Manicure Monday's because I don't like my nails (I used to bite my nails for years and years) but it's been almost a month and I haven't touched them.
I'm quite happy (and proud!) and I decided a little bit of nailpolish would be nice!

I used a colour by Essence called "Be berry now". This colour is just a lovely summer colour and I instantly get happy when I see it!

This colour is from Essences Colour&Go line, and it's basically really cheap. I think you pay about €1.69 for a nailpolish.
It covers perfectly with two layers.

I'd say try this one out if you have the chance, I'm a big fan already!

NOTD (nail of the day): Sparkly pastel!

Hello you guys! In my last haul - about a week (or two) back, I believe - I showed you two nailpolishes that I got from Essence. A pastel purple and a sparkly topcoat.
I was very excited to try it out. I used the two colours in combination with each other. First the pastel purple and then the topcoat with glitters. This is what it looked like. I think it is so pretty!

Excuse my ugly nails - stress!

The purple nailpolish covers well with 2 layers. It's easy to apply, I like the brush very much. Same with the glittery topcoat.
The nailpolish dries quite fast. I wanted to let you know how long it lasted, but that experiment got a little bit messed up. You see, the day after doing my nails, I spent three hours doing dishes. Three hours in hot water. Later that day, some of the nailpolish did chip. I can't say that it's a bad nailpolish though, since I know not everyone spends three hours on doing dishes, and so this nailpolish won't chip as fast as it did with me.

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

Little beauty products haul!

Hello all of you!
Yesterday I did some pre-birthday shopping. It was lovely, I had a great time! These days there's a lot of sales in a lot of shops and I got so many new clothes, I don't even know which item I should wear first! Of course you'll be seeing that in outfit of the day pictures! There are too many items to photograph all of them and put them online (and I can't put them all in one picture like I do with my beauty items). Since beauty items are easy to photograph (and you can put a lot of beauty items in one photograph), I though I'd show you what makeup I got today.

I haven't bought an awful amount of stuff, but I did get a lot of things that I loved and have been fawning over for quite a while.

First of all I got two Catrice intensif' eye wet & dry shadows. These won't be in the stores for much longer (they're going out of the permanent collection) and so I took the chance to get these before it was too late.

Next I got a 2B bronzer, which I'm very excited about, however, I'm probably more excited about my three new lipsticks! I got one from Kate Moss by Rimmel London in "107", which is a darker, berry kind of colour. I've wanted this for quite a while now and it was the last one so I was lucky!

Next I got two lipsticks by Bourjois. One from the Shine collection (first one in the picture) and one from the Rouge edition. They are stunning, wauw! I wish I could have bought more (but I promised myself not to buy too much so, haha!).

The first colour in the picture is called "Famous Fushia", it's a gorgeous, bright pink. The Rouge Edition lipstick is called "Violine Strass". I think it looks a little bit like the one that I got from Kate Moss by Rimmel London. Maybe it's has more of a purple tone to it.

And then I got some new nailpolish. I haven't been doing my nails a lot recently but I missed it! I got two Essence colours, a pastel purple and a glittery topcoat. They fit very nicely together!

December Deauty box Unboxing

Hello! I got my December Deauty box! Yay! I'm so happy, I really love getting this every month! I only paid for three months to try it so this is the last month for me. I might subscribe for three more months, I'm still doubting a little bit.
This month had a few items that really surprised me, the good way.

The first thing you always see is the black box "Deauty on it". I love the bird that holds a mirror, it's very cute.

This month we got some "beauty stuff organizer"stickers.

And this is what was inside the box!

The first thing I got was extra-gentle dry shampoo with oat milk by Klorane. I'm glad that I got some dry shampoo because having bangs isn't always easy and some days they just get greasy without you really knowing what's going on with your hair. I can't wait to try this.

The second thing is another hair product. It's by Kérastase (I recieved two other Kérastase items in my previous box). This is a beautifying scented oil for colour treated hair (which is good because I dye my hair so...)

Next item is shower milk. This is by Bee Nature, it's an organic cosmetic brand that 100% Belgian.

Wow this next item was a great surprise! The Giorgio Armani "Acqua di Gio" perfume! It's only 5 ml but I'll enjoy every last bit of it!

And it just kept on coming! An Essie nailpolish! I never had one before but I always heard many many good things about it! Now I finally have my own! Well that's a nice surprise! This one is called "Bobbing for baubles" and it's a dark blue nailpolish. Sometimes it looks dark blue and sometimes you'd think it's a black nailpolish, it has a bit of grey tones in it as well! I swatched it on my thumb already and I have to say.... Thumbs up!

This is some kind of creme that you can use when you are suffering from a dull complexion and loss of radiance. I have never heard of this in my life but I'm open to anything so I'll try it!

Last but not least we got this! To pin on your shirt. Cute!

I am very happy with the things I found in my box this month! Reviews of all the products are coming up very soon!
