Maybelline "Nude Embrace" lipstick review

Nude has been trending for some time now. I'm 100% for a nude look when it comes to eye make-up, but nude lipstick has never really been my thing.
I walk into a beauty store, get a nude lipstick and I will absolutely love it. But the minute I come home, I fall back out of love with it.
Nude not being your shade is absolutely okay, but stubborn as I am, I decided to give it one last chance before finally giving up.

I spent a good hour (or maybe two) at the drugstore and came home with a Maybelline lippy called "Nude Embrace". The colour doesn't look too exciting but it is a nude so it's not supposed to stand out that much.

Here's what the lipstick looks like. Below you can also find a swatch.

I like the swatch of this lipstick a lot. You can really see how pigmented it is.
After all these years I finally found a nude that I like! Below you can find a before and after picture. The lipstick applies very well and is very pigmented, however it does feel a little dry after a while. I do really like this one though, it's just a matter of moisturizing your lips before and after applying this lipstick.
I also don't like to apply too much, because that will make you look a little sick. This lipstick is also gorgeous with some lipgloss on top of it!

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid review!

Goodmorning everyone!
A couple of days ago I told you about me getting on the liquid lipstick bandwagon - I'm very very late!
I reviewed my first Catrice liquid lipstick, which was a good experience for me. I enjoy that liquid lipstick and it made me even more excited to test the second one I got that day: my Maybelline liquid lipstick in the colour "05 Nude Flush".

The packaging of this liquid lipstick is quite simple. It's just a rectangular tube. I do like that they made the top of the liquid lipstick matte, it's a small detail, but it makes sense if you're trying to sell a matte product, make your packaging matte as well. That's something some other brands haven't thought of.

This liquid lipstick came out a lot pinker than I thought. I actually thought it was going to be more nude.
"Nude Flush" has a good coverage, it's not one of those lipglosses or lipsticks that are streaky and take hours to apply evenly. The colour payoff is amazing and the texture is very soft. It does feel quite thick and it is rather sticky on my lips. I'm personally not a big fan of that but okay.

Aside from the gorgeous colour payoff and the very smooth texture, I do have some negative things to say about this Matte Liquid Lipstick (unfortunately):

The first thing I don't like about this liquid lipstick is that it doesn't feel like a liquid lipstick to me. I thought it'd dry - because that's what the product description says it will do - but it doesn't and it's quite sticky, which is a bit annoying, like I said before.
I thought it'd be a matte liquid lipstick and the best thing I can compare it to is the Nivea lip balms - the really creamy ones. That's what it feels like. I've tried keeping this liquid lipstick on for a couple hours, but they don't seem to go matte.

The second thing I absolutely hate is the taste of this product. You know, sometimes it'll get on your teeth or you might accidentally get a bit of product in your mouth... Most brands have lipsticks that smell nice and don't taste very bad, but this Matte Liquid Lipstick tastes like hell - and we all know that's not a good thing when it comes to lip products.

I'm not as impressed with this product as I thought I'd be. I really wanted to like it, but I don't think I'll be getting another one of these. Ever.
Sorry.

Maybelline Color Tattoo

You should always enjoy the little things in life. Blogging and experimenting with make-up brings me a lot of joy, so happiness to me is finding amazing drugstore products that are good for my wallet as well.
It's no secret that I'm a really big color tattoo fan. I love everything about them. I either use them as a base for eyeshadow or just on it's own.
Last week I treated myself to two more Color Tattoos.

The colours that I got are "Metallic pomegranate", a beautiful shimmery burgundy colour and a matte beige, called "Crème de nude" (Does this name rings a bell? MAC fans?).

Both of these colours are absolutely gorgeous.

Here's what the swatches look like. Good pigment, like I'm used to with these Color Tattoos.
I tend to use "Crème the nude" as an eyeshadow base and I always use "Metallic pomegranate" as eyeshadow. It's also a great colour for fall.

I was a huge Color Tattoo fan before I got these two and once again I am convinced of the quality of this product.

"Pleasure me red" by Maybelline

Hello everyone! How are you?
I've been obsessing over red lipstick again recently. It's been a while since I got new make-up but recently I found the time to go make-up shopping again. I didn't really need another red lipstick, but I fell in love with it and I simply couldn't resist.

This lipstick is quite popular, I've seen it on a lot of blogs and in a lot of video tutorials. Being the beauty blogger that I am, I just HAD to get it!

The packaging of this product isn't very spectacular. It's just a silver plastic tube that comes with a red plastic cap. Even though the packaging isn't eye popping, the colour certainly is!

This specific shade of red is darker than what I usually wear but it's still very vibrant. It's a glossy kind of lipstick. I usually go for the matte lipsticks, but changing up or adjusting habits every once in a while is healthy!

As I had expected, the pigmentation is simply flawless! Great colour payoff and a very smooth, creamy texture!  The picture below shows you what Maybelline's "Pleasure me red" looks like on my lips.

I'm definitely impressed by this gorgeous red lipstick!

What's your favourite red lipstick?

Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Pink Gold"

Happy Monday everyone! How are you doing?
I hope you've enjoyed this weekend!

Remember last time I got a new Color Tattoo by Maybelline? I am obsessed with them! I told you I wanted more and last week, I got another one!
This one  is a pink one, it's called "Pink Gold". Normally I don't go for pink eyeshadow very often, but I swatched this Color Tattoo and I was just so impressed. Both by the pigmentation and how long the swatch stayed on!

This is what the colour looks like, it's so pretty! I love how simple it is to achieve a beautiful make-up look with this Color Tattoo. It literally takes me 5 minutes.

Swatch! This is one swipe of the colour. Of course you can build it up.
This swatch lasted a whole day, even after washing my hands a couple of times and taking a shower!

Have a good day!

Maybelline Color Tattoo review

Yes. I did it. Enough of the doubting and stalling the purchase of this product. I've been wanting it for such a long time, I decided to go ahead and buy it for myself as a Christmas present!
I'm talking about the Maybelline Color Tattoo, in case you didn't know I've been wanting it for a really long time.

As always, I stood there, not knowing which colour I wanted to pick first. I just wanted all of them! However, my brain said I should pick a colour that I would and could wear everyday. So I went for "Permanent Taupe".

This is what the colour looks like. Perfect taupe. I think I'm in love! I have worn it on it's own like an eyeshadow but I've also used it as a base for eyeshadow and it looks beautiful in both ways!

The texture is so incredibly creamy and pigmented. It's a real pleasure to work with.

Swatch! You can see yourself how beautiful it is.

I'm very happy with this Color Tattoo. It's everything I wanted and more, I can for sure understand why other bloggers love it so much.
I paid €10, which is about $13.69. I thought it was a little much for a cream eyeshadow but the quality is good so I'm happy to pay the full price.

Maybelline FIT me foundation swatches + review

Hi guys!
Yes, as you can read in the title, I did break my makeup challenge. I finished two foundations and got another one. The only reason I did this is because I have been suffering from acne again recently and I prefer covering it up a little bit.
So yes, I got a new foundation. It's called "Fit me" and it's by Maybelline. I'm pretty pale so I got nr 115, which is the lightest colour, I believe.
This foundation has SPF 15.
I do like this foundation, you don't need a lot and it covers good. I do still need to use concealer after applying foundation so it's not like it's a miracle product but it's good for a drugstore brand foundation.

The foundation has silicones in it, so people with sensitive skin might want to be careful with this. Silicones can make you break out easily. I haven't had more problems than usual with my skin.

This is the amount that comes out if you pump it once.

And this is how it looks if you rub it open, I use a makeup primer first and then I work with a makeup sponge to blend it all in.

Have a good day!
