A sneak peek inside my beauty closet: mono eyeshadows

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a part of my "Sneak peek inside my beauty closet". This time I will be showing you my mono eyeshadows. I like palettes more, but every once in a while I find some beautiful colours that aren't in palettes. That's why I have a little mono collection as well!

The first eyeshadows are by Yves Rocher. I actually wasn't very impressed with them when I just got them but I do still use them. I just use a base and build up the colour. The colours are beau-ti-ful, too bad the pigment isn't amazing.

These Catrice eyeshadows are the total opposite. First of all, they are so beautiful but they are also insanely pigmented! And they're cheaper! This is a budget topper!

I do have more eyeshadows by Catrice. Some are better pigmented than others but I can't complain! They are never too expensive and most of the time I end up satisfied instead of disappointed.

Next, I have two eyeshadows by MAC. When I just got them, I didn't want to use them because I was scared of running out of these two beautiful eyeshadows. However lately, I've been using them a lot! Great pigment, nice texture, but I guess that's what you pay for.

And then I have a couple of Essence eyeshadows! What I said about Catrice eyeshadows, counts for Essence eyeshadows as well. Some are really pigmented, some are not so pigmented.
I swatch most of them before buying them. I also got a couple from a friend.

That's it! My whole mono eyeshadow stash!

A sneak peek inside my beauty closet: lipbalms

Hello everyone!

Today I have another "Sneak peek inside my beauty closet". This time I'm going to show you my lipbalm stash.
I have a couple of tubes with lipbalm that I don't use too often. They are very sticky and so I only use them at home or before I'm going to bed. They're by a brand called MAX. The little tin jar on the right side is by thesame brand. The texture is a lot better and I use it very often.

Next, I have a couple of Yves Rocher products. I don't really like Yves Rocher, except for their lipbalms. I own two jars: one is strawberry scented and one is raspberry scented. I also own a vanilla lipbalm. I used to own a coconut one as well but I have finished that one!

Next I have two Labello lipbalms. When I was a kid, I used these all the time. There really is something special about them. I love the texture and the scent.
I actually already had enough lipbalms but I got these on a day that I forgot to take my lipbalm with me. My lips were dry, bleeding and hurting, so I decided to go to the store during my lunchbreak and get these.
One for home, one for my purse.

This Fanta red fruit lipsmacker is another one of my lipbalms that I use quite often. It's not as good as the Labello, but it's close. And it tastes really good!

My favourite lipbalm is this one by Kiehl's. It's almost empty!

I also own this Nivea lipbalm with SPF 15 and argan oil. I didn't get to test the product in the store because it was wrapped in plastic so when I got home it turned out the colour is a little too dark for me. So most of the time I use it at home or when I'm more tan!

I also own this smooth vanilla lipbalm/lipshine by H&M as well. I use it in summer most of the time because it looks like a lipgloss a little bit. Although it's a bit sticky, but most of H&M's lipglosses (or any lipglosses for that matter) are sticky.

What lipbalm would you recommend?

A sneak peek inside my beauty closet: chubby lipcrayons

Hi everyone!
I know it's been a while since I've done an episode of "A sneak peek inside my beauty closet", I haven't actually done one this year. I thought it was time to change it up and end the silence. Today I'm presenting you my chubby lipcrayons!
I actually don't have a lot of them so this post is going to be rather short, but that's okay.

These are the two chubby lipcrayons I own. They are both budget and they both look pretty good.
The nude one, called "In The Nude" is by ELF. I ordered it online.

The pink one is called "I got the flower" is by Catrice, it's from the Glamazonia limited edition.

What chubby lipcrayons would you recommend?
Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

A sneak peek inside my beauty closet: single eyeshadows

Hi guys! I'm continuing my sneak peek series even in 2014! Today I'm going to take about my single eyeshadows. I don't have many single eyeshadows, just because I love palettes more, but over the years I've gotten a few and I thought I'd show you.

The first brand that I own some single eyeshadows from is Essence. Just like their palettes, most of their single eyeshadows are cheap and good quality. I also got a few as a gift from a friend.

Essence duo eyeshadows in "Irresistible Chocolates" (left) and "Vanilla Latté"
These eyeshadow duo's are my favourite items of the brand. They're well pigmented and it's so easy to do a quick daily look with these two eyeshadows. I use the brown colours on my lid and the white/gold as highlighters.

These next three eyeshadows were gifts. I have two highlighters that are absolutely beautiful (I don't use them often enough!) and one brown that is gorgeous as well. Sometimes I'll use it for a look to wear to work and sometimes I'll even go out with that colour applied on my eyes. It's insanely pigmented!
"Dance all night"
"Blockbuster"
"Metropolitan"

Last year I got this pink eyeshadow from the Fantasia collection. I have phases in which I use this colour. Sometimes I love it and I want to wear nothing else, sometimes I don't touch it at all.

"Have you seen my unicorn"
And then I have three other eyeshadows left. The one on top is from the Marble Mania collection, it's called "Swirl it, baby", I use this one in combination with my pink Fantasia eyeshadow. I also have a metallic brown/olive green kind of shade (on the left) that reminds me a lot of MAC's Woodwinked. Maybe I'll compare them in a post one of these days! Anyways, it's called "Party all night". The basic brown colour on the right is called "get ready!"

I have tried many many Yves Rocher products and only very little products pleased me. The first time I tried the eyeshadows I wasn't too impressed and even though I think they could have been a little bit more pigmented, I think they are beautiful. It's funny, seeing all these eyeshadows right now, I realize how much I have and how much I want to use all of these products more!

My NYC "Basic Instinct" is a very beautiful light yellow/white-ish shade with a little bit of shimmer. I use it as a highlighter. As a matter of fact, I've been using it for months in a row now and I'm still not tired of it.

Let's move on! Onto my two most expensive single eyeshadows ever. I wouldn't have gotten them in single size if they were still available in palette form, but they weren't. Aside from the higher price, the packaging doesn't really matter.
I've been afraid to use these colours for a while because I didn't want to hit pan. Recently I told myself to snap out of it (I mean, it costs enough money, why don't I use it?! I can always get a new one) and I started using the colours again.
There are some budget toppers out there and I will credit the brands for it, but MAC never EVER disappoints me. I can't wait to add more products to my MAC stash. But first, I have to save up lots of money!

"Woodwinked"
"Texture"
Talking about budget toppers, here are a couple of budget toppers! All by Catrice, all amazing.
The first eyeshadows are wet and dry eyeshadows. I didn't purchase them for a long time because I thought they were pricey for a budget brand but they surprised me in a good way! I still use them often!

"Lunch at Tiffany's" (left) and "Please gold the line!" (right)
The liquid metal babies are quite stunning as well. They do really look like liquid metal. Crazy pigmented! You do get a little bit of fall out but nearly every brand will give you that. If you want to try something by Catrice, I'd say: "Grab this!". I'm addicted!
Next time you see them, swatch them and see for yourself, you'll be blown away!

Thanks for reading! Stay safe!

A sneak peek inside my beauty closet: eyeshadow palettes

Hello everyone! We're continuing the "sneak peek inside my beauty closet" series with the next subject: palettes! I love palettes just because they have a lot of colours and there are multiple looks you can make with one palette.
Palettes are my thing, I love them. It's quite obvious that I have a huge palette collection. Want to take a look?

The first brand that I have quite a few palettes of is Catrice. They have a bunch of amazing palettes that have good pigmentation and are budgetproof! I keep collecting!

Catrice "Twinkle in the eye" palette review (discontinued)

Next I have my palettes by H&M. I can't really say if I'm disappointed by H&M or if I like it, simply because some colours look better than others. I think the quality could/should get a little better.

This palette is a palette that I got at Paris in New Look. It's from a collection that Kelly Brook did with them. Sadly, this palette is a huge disappointement! The black isn't really even black, the shimmery colour payoff sucks, I mean...

I also tried out a couple of NYC palettes. I have a palette with darker colours that also holds a highlighter and an eyeshadow base, I love that! The colour pay off is nice. So is the colour pay off of the other palette, which is a more neutral one.

Onto my more expensive palettes, of which I only own two! The first one is my Nude 'Tude palette by The Balm (you guys have heard about this palette many many times before) and a MAC palette that is only half filled. The colours I put in that palette are "Honey Lust" (gold) and "Bronze" (brown).

I have three "bigger" palettes with quite a few colours. The first one is by Body Collection, which was a really cheap purchase but the quality is rather good. Next I have my two huge palettes by ELF. They're the 144 bright eyeshadow palette and the 144 neutral eyeshadow palette. I also have one by Claire's.

Another disappointment, unfortunately, is this palette by Covergirl. The pigmentation looks okay when you swatch on your hands or your wrists but I have a very hard time getting any colour on my eye. It just doesn't work.

Next I have a couple of Essence palettes. The quality and price is very similar to Catrice.
I especially love the Essence quattro palettes, they hold the most beautiful colours!

Those are my beloved palettes! I do have some other ones that I'm going to collect and give to charity because I don't use them. Thanks for reading!
Have a lovely day!
