Weekly Diary

Hello you guys! Happy Sunday!
I haven't uploaded a Weekly Diary in a while because I've been busy, but here I am!

I've had a lot of work but I've also had a lot of fun in the last couple of weeks, today I'm going to tell you about it!
I finished my exams a few days before February started and I also passed all of my exams! The night we got our results, the girls from school and I went out to celebrate!

My dad got me a little present as well! I got this beautiful swan necklace from him. I think it's so unique. Especially the blue "body" of the swan, I think it's so beautiful!
I wear it everyday.

After the exams, I went to my internship for a week. I'm studying to become a history and English teacher so soon I'll be teaching myself! I'm so excited!

Okay so that is what happened these last few weeks.
Last week, school started again, semester 2. A lot of students didn't make it, but a few new students joined us as well.
This is a picture of all the girls who are also close friends - there are two girls missing because they were sick, but it's nice to have a close group to rely on!

And this week I also treated myself! I got a new lipstick by MAC. You know what they say, sometimes you've got to treat yourself!

I survived Friday the 13th and Valentine's Day, and I'm looking forward to a new week!
I hope you are as well!

Have a lovely Sunday!

Weekly Diary

Happy Sunday!
How are you doing? Last week was really busy for me!
I have to study, but of course I also wanted to celebrate Christmas and the new year!

I went to the movies with one of my best friends and afterwards we went to a cocktail bar. I had never been there before, but I liked it! Such a classy place (and they have good cocktails as well)!

That night, a few minutes before we wanted to leave, it actually started to snow!
We haven't seen snow in Belgium in 2 years, so it was quite nice to see it snowing outside! Just in time for the new year!
It hasn't snowed eversince.

Festive nails!

After working on New Year's Eve, my friend and I decided to go out. It was already pretty late, but heck, why not? You only get to celebrate New Year once a year!
I didn't get an outfit picture on New Year's Eve but I wish I did. Anyway, you can see what I'm wearing in the picture below: a little black dress with a military jacket, a teal belt and a statement necklace that had some teal, pink and orange in it.

I started 2015 off right and I hope many more wonderful things are coming my way!
I hope you had as much fun as I did!
Have a lovely Sunday!

Weekly Diary

Happy Sunday! How have you been?
In this Weekly Diary you'll see how my week has been! It was a bit busy but it's okay. I had a lot of fun as well and that's important as well!

Last week I forgot to share this photo of my delicious dinner! I had dinner with one of my fellow students. She's a little bit older than most of the students, but has now decided to go back to school. We get along very well! I enjoy her company!

Last week on Sunday I had a party with a few other fellow students. I like hanging out with new people and getting to know each other. We're a big bunch of friends and I wouldn't have it any other way! We talked, laughed, sang, danced, and ate delicious snacks around the bonfire! Ladies night, alright!

I've been a bit busy as you might have noticed. School is really busy but I've been preparing for my microteaching, which is basically the first lesson you give as a teacher, you just give them to your other students (oh, and it's being filmed)! I'm going to be teaching English as well as History and I can't wait! I am very nervous though!

I have been working really hard, trying to do the best I can and make the best lessons I could possibly make. I had my feedback last week and I have to say... I'm pleased with the result! After my exams in January, I'll actually go on internship and teach, which is so, SO exciting!

Waiting to get feedback....
Aside from that I have been making some other tasks for school and I've been trying to prepare for the exams a little bit as well. Overall I have a good feeling about it and I don't think I'm behind, but a little extra practice is always welcome.

I've not only been trying to get my school life together, I've also been trying to get healthier. Again. I start over a lot, but I always start with new motivation and inspiration.
Right now, getting healthy involves smaller portions of food and healthier snacks like an apple instead of a chocolate bar. I've also started to drink a lot of water. Not because I like water, but because I have to. For my body, and for my voice. Our teachers point it out quite often that every 10 minutes we need to drink water in order to maintain our powerful teaching voice.
I've also been exercising, but not as much as I'd like to. I did find a relatively cheap fitness centre which I will go to once my exams are over.

Right now I'm mainly looking forward to next week because we'll be spending time away from school. We will be visiting musea and all sorts of places that can help us with our education in the coming week and I'm so excited! As I'm writing this I don't know where I'm going yet but I do know I'm going to make the best of it!

I guess I should stop rambling for today.
I'd like to apologize for not updating this week due to a busy schedule and I'd like to wish you an amazing Sunday.
Thanks for reading!

Weekly Diary

Happy Sunday everyone! How have you guys been?
My week has been quite busy, but I also had a lot of fun this week!

I went out to get sushi for the first time in my life. My friends and I wanted to grab a bite after school and somehow we ended up in a sushi restaurant.
It was really good! I had so much fun!

Some letters arrived at my new place. I love writing letters and I love that this is like a "conformation" that I actually live on my own now.
Speaking of living on my own, it's been over a month now and I'm still alive! I miss my family and my pets sometimes though, but it's fun to learn how to depend on yourself.

I got myself a little new "diary". When I was a kid I used to keep diaries all the time and I enjoy reading them over sometimes, but over the years I just stopped doing it. So I'm trying it again now! I found just the right notebook too, isn't it gorgeous?!

I also worked for school. A lot.
It's intens, but at least now I'm doing what I love!

I also got myself a little bonsai tree for my studio. I love plants and flowers and even though I have a little tree already, I decided to get another one!
I also practiced my photography already, this tree's leaf was my "subject"!

What have you been up to?
Have a good day!

Weekly Diary

Happy Sunday!
How has your week been? This week has been so, SO much fun for me! Last week was pretty cool because I moved out and went to school for the first time, but this week was really exciting because I did a lot of cool things and I actually attended classes for the first time.
At first I felt like my head was exploding because we got so much information, but so far I've been enjoying it!

Living on my own is feeling pretty damn good right now, I'm used to handling my own business such as doing the dishes and grocery shopping by now! I'm also "getting to know" the city I live in, which is amazing!

In school, a lot of exciting things are going on as well! I'm getting to know all of my fellow students (some of us already went out to get Starbucks together), but I also got some assignments already!
I actually got to teach for the first time last week! It was only 5 minutes and it was unannounced so I freaked a little, but I did well!

And you know what's the best part? School usually doesn't even start until after 10 am!

work work work!!
That's about it for this week!
How have you been?

Thanks for reading!

Weekly Diary

Hello everyone!
Happy Sunday! How has your week been?
I've been so, so busy, but it has all been very exciting!

I moved out! I have announced that I was moving on my blog before, but it was only Friday before this week that I got my key. So I have been moving for the most part of this week, and I've also been staying at the studio. I love it so far. My roommate moved in a little later, so I thought I'd spend my morning making a "Welcome home" sign!

I also have to be responsable for myself now that I live on my own, which is turning out pretty good. But then again, I've only lived here for about a week or so! I have actually been cooking which is something I don't do because.. Well because I can't but I've mastered spaghetti and rice with chicken.Well hey, I haven't starved yet!

In the meantime, I have explored the city. I actually met some interesting people on the bus this week as well! I rarely talk to people on the bus because I don't want to annoy them, but I love it when someone randomly starts a conversation.
Put away that phone and make contact in real life!

On Thursday, school started back up for me. It's so weird, I'm the youngest one in school again! I'm really looking forward to what life has in store for me this year.
So far, it really seems like I made a good choice. I'm really excited and ready to go for it 100%. All my teachers are such sweet and enthusiast people!

We actually had to listen to two people who were going to tell us more about the school on our first day and both the teachers were very funny, but I particularly loved it when one of the teachers said "You couldn't have picked a better subject to study, it's going to be so rewarding, I'm sure you'll love it! I know I still do".
That, my friends, is a good teacher! It made me feel really welcome and she made me even more excited!

Tomorrow is the first "real" day of school which means classes! I'm looking forward to it!
I'll update you next week!

Stay safe!
Have a good Sunday!

Weekly Diary

Hello everyone!
How are you doing on this rainy Sunday? Before I'm shutting off the computer to go shopping, I want to tell you a little bit more about my week.

This week I started working at Volvo! It's a student job and even though I didn't know what to expect, I am quite happy! I have a lovely team who treat me like one of the boys and that's totally fine.
This week I started with the early shift which means waking up at 3am. It goes without saying I didn't do anything but sleep when I got back home!
That's why this Weekly Diary is so short!

I have enjoyed one particular song this week, I heard it for the first time on Friday and I can't keep it out of my head!

I also went to see "Bad Neighbours" in the movie theatre and I must say, it's a really funny movie! It didn't quite go as I expected, but I giggled so much.
Also, Zac Efron.

So yeah, a really short Weekly Diary this week, but I hope that's okay! I'll talk to you tomorrow!
Have a lovely day!

Weekly Diary

Hello everyone!
It's Sunday, which means it's Weekly Diary time!
I don't have a lot of pictures this week, since I've been at work most of the time! What can I say, I have things to pay ;), like all of us.

This week, I didn't only work, I also spent a lot of time in the hospital! I actually had to go and get a consult to get my wisdom teeth removed, but because of a misunderstanding, I didn't get my consult and now I don't know when I can have surgery.
Luckily, I brought my book called "Wreck this journal" and had some fun with dad.

That evening, I was in luck! I got back just in time from the hospital and my friends invited me to go watch the shooting of a show that comes out around October here in Belgium. It was so much fun, I really enjoyed myself. I saw Astrid Bryan (Belgian girl who lives in America, did a TV show and now has her own reality show) and Belgian writer Herman Brusselmans. Fun!

Later we also went to this lovely restaurant in Ghent that used to be a factory. We ate on the top floor. I wish I got a picture, it was so so beautiful there. Absolutely stunning, and good service ;) ! I didn't expect to have so much fun after my gone wrong dentist appointment!

Even though this week has been a little busy, I still made time for my pets. My cat obviously doesn't know how to play with toys!

Last night I heard about some Turkish guy telling women they shouldn't laugh in public. Well uhm, I join the protest on Instagram! Never EVER stop smiling!

And I also did a make-up job... Something completely different than I'm used to, but it looked good and felt good so... The pictures will be online as soon as I get them!

Thanks for reading! Have a good day!

Weekly Diary

Hi! Happy Sunday!
How have you been doing?
This week has been probably the best week of this entire summer, I did so many cool things! As you probably know, if you read my blog on a daily basis, I celebrated my 18th birthday last Friday. My sister had a little party on Saturday and I decided to have a little party as well, on Monday.

On Monday, I invited some friends over and we had breakfast together. It was more like a breakfeast, there was so much food! We really had a huge buffet ready for my guests. I had this little party at my best friend's house.

After the breakfast, 10 of us went to an amusement park. We did so many things and had so much fun! It was a long day, but it was a very satisfying day. It wasn't something that a lot of people would do for their 18th birthday, I guess, but it's something that I wanted to do for a long time and my friends decided it would be fun so we made the best of it!

I got a lot of amazing presents - I even got a few MAC gift cards! Amazing!
I got a really huge palette with 7 new colours (the other 8 were in my collection already), a pro longwear concealer and a pigment!

I also went to see another movie this week - I've been going to the movies a lot lately, but I really wanted to see this one - "Lucy", with Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman (♥).
I enjoyed the movie, it's genious!

That was my week!
Thanks for reading and enjoy your day!

Weekly Diary

Hello you guys!

My update is a little bit late today, because I just arrived home after a long night!
This week has been quite busy, because both me and my sister celebrated our 18th birthday, and we both organised a party.

Let's start at the beginning of the week. I went shopping a little bit because at the end of the sales, they even give discounts on shoes and cute little scarfs so I got a few of those. They were almost for free, happy me!
I actually didn't have to go to work so I spent the night at my sister and her boyfriends house. We had a lovely little movie night.

After that, we started preparing for our birthday and the parties!

On Friday, I turned 18. 18. It's so weird. I'm 18.
My mom got us a biiiig breakfeast (see what I did there?) with lots of yummy stuff and after that I spent the day doing things I like!

We also went out to celebrate and the next morning we had to wake up early to get ready for my sister's birthday party - a barbecue! We had put up balloons before, but they all broke due to the heat  so we started over again...

One of my good friends gave me a birthday present and I just loved it so much, I had to show you! This is actually a portrait of  me, it's a drawing of one of my Facebook profile pictures. I thought it was so cute! It's a really nice talent to have!

I'm having a little party myself next week and I had my friend draw on my name tags as well! It's really quite special, don't you think? It's nice and personal.

That's it for this week! I hope you're having a really good day today!

Weekly Diary

Happy Sunday! How have you been doing?
Sunday means a review of the whole week, so here it is!

The week started with really bad weather. It was hot, but rainy and we had lightening and thunder.
Luckely, it got better.
I spent a lot of time outside with my pets. Our guinea pigs had babies again! I spent some time taking pictures. Doesn't the mom look so adorable in this picture? She's lovely!

This is Mini, the weakest and smallest one in the bunch. She couldn't ear for herself, she was blind on the left side and walking was hard for her. She was so small so I decided to take her under my wings. I fed her, held her,... Unfortunately, her heart failed in middle of the night, right after I held her and tried to calm her down a little. I will for sure miss my little one.

This week I also went to a flea market. I bought a pin-up t-shirt, a whooole lot of books and... a guitar! I have been asking my parents for one since I was 11 and they never let me get one, but this time, my dad didn't stop me from buying it.
I'm so glad! Now it's time to practice again!

I also read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies. I love the summer, it's the time to do nothing and enjoy life - so I catched up on some reading and movies.
I watched the first Harry Potter movie - again. I just really love the movies and I love watching them again once in a while.

I also watched "Upside Down", such a fascinating movie! It was recommended to me by a friend, it's a kind of sci fi/ dystopian movie and he knew I'd love it since I also love this kind of books.
I didn't quite get the ending though...

Aside from all of that, I have been planning a little something for my birthday. You only turn 18 once! I normally never throw birthday parties, but this year I have decided I want to spend a day with my friends and I want to have fun! Looking forward to it!

How have you been?
